Terrific hosts. Very communicative and accommodating. They truly are the best.

This is a comfortable, clean and extremely well outfitted cottage. What a plus that it was pet-friendly; our dog enjoyed it too. There is a long deck along the back of the house, including off the bedroom. From there we saw some lovely sunrises over beautiful Honeoye Lake and we enjoyed the two available kayaks. The town of Honeoye is just a mile away—and there are several tasty restaurants (Birdhouse Brewery, Mill Creek Cafe) and Canandaigua is an easy 20-minute drive. We also appreciated having use of the washer and dryer.

We had a great time at Cook's Nook! The weather wasn't the best but we made the most of our trip. The house was great for the two of us and our dog, everything was as described and was perfect for our needs. We made breakfast every morning in the house and we spent the days exploring the region. The location of the house was nice as we were under an hour from everywhere we wanted to check out. We definitely recommend staying here and will try to be back ourselves soon!

My husband and I were most impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of this cottage. The bedroom was wonderful and the combination of fans and bedroom AC kept us comfortable even during the 90+ days! The kitchen is VERY well equipped, including lots of leftover containers which often are lacking. We enjoyed the deck after the sun moved to the west and made good use of the kayaks. The view is incredible from all the windows. The location is convenient to all the finger lakes have to offer. The only downside is the very steep walk on grass to the water. The stairs at the lower end help a great deal and we used the opportunity of going up and down to get in our steps and exercise but it's not an easy climb back up! Overall, we throughly enjoyed living here for two weeks and enjoying Honeoye Lake.

My son (13) and I stayed a week at cooks nook and loved it. My son LOVES to fish and was eager to go out in the kayaks each day to fish. We went to hemlock lake and mendon ponds as well. The house is wonderful and dinner on the deck each night was amazing. We walked to sandy bottom to hike and walked to town for icecream. Was a great get away for the two of us between work and crazy sport schedules! Very quiet area and an adorable house that had everything we needed! Thank you for such a great week!

Wonderful, clean and comfortable property. Steep walk to and from dock, but not unmanageable for me. Nearby to park and nature trail. Town and amenities also close by. Quiet and restful stay.

Very cute lake. Location was perfect. Lake is a little shallow so we didn’t bring jetskis but rented pontoon boat. There is only one marina but prices are reasonable and owner was soooo nice. This cottage was very nice. We deeply appreciate the hospitality of the owners of the cottage and the little nook!!! Be aware that the porch light attracts bugs if you go out for dinner.

We had a fantastic time at Cook’s Nook! Everything was very clean and organized upon arrival and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The hill down to the lake was a bit steep going back up and might be a challenge for someone with any type of knee or back issues. Had fun catching some fish off the dock. Would definitely stay again in the future!

The Cooks have everything you need. On this trip we forgot our spices for cooking, but this location has it all. They even provided Rosemary for one of my recipes! I also needed a zip-tie to repair a chair on my kayak, and they had that too. I genuinely love this place.

We have stayed at this cottage for 4 years now. It is always clean and well decorated. We love sitting on the deck. We go kayaking on Canadice lake. We are not much for swimming. We love driving the back roads to all the wineries. For those who want yo use the lake there is a pretty big hill but it was not an issue for us 65 plusers who are active. The owners are lovely people and I hope they will continue to allow us to stay.

This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes and we picked this gem of a cottage for our rental! It was perfect for the two of us and our dog. The Cook's Nook is adorable and well-appointed. In fact, we got to enjoy the bounty from their peach tree and blackberry bushes/vines during our stay! The Cooks provide an extremely useful binder that has information on nearby restaurants, the marina across the lake, and hiking at nearby Sandy Bottoms and at Mendon Ponds Park north of Honeoye Falls (so worth the drive). They welcome you to their cottage with a bottle of local wine, and my only regret is that we didn't return the favor by bringing them some Kentucky Bourbon.

This lakefront home had everything we could have asked for! Even the light switches were labeled, which was not expected but truly appreciated. Great week. Would definitely consider renting again! Thanks!

The cottage and deck were very nice. Nice views. Quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed kayaks.
Water access was close to impossible with extremely steep hill with steps only on lower 1/3 of the hill. Lake was filled with tall lake weeds, except for a 4-5 foot area close to shore.
We could not go in the water the whole week due to blue-green algae.
This cottage is good for someone that is only interested in looking at the water from a distance.

Relaxing little cottage, had a bit of a pet smell when I first arrived (and was 78 degrees inside). But once I got it air moving and the place opened up, smell went away. Only a wall A/C unit but plenty of fans (one on floor, lots of ceiling fans). Very comfy bed and living room chairs! Fully functional kitchen. Lake is very calm and quiet. Had a great stay. Check out Deer Run Winery (and Distillery) not too far away for a fun time!

Beautiful area. We had a very comfortable stay. Home within driving distances of the wineries, towns, and other attractions in area. Hope to stay again without the haze from the Canadian wildfires!

We had a good experience while staying at this rental for a few days on our trip to the finger, lakes, and Niagara Falls. We’ll stay at this place again if ever in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is exactly as described. It was spotless, I took full advantage of the kayaks after waking up to coffee on the deck to watch the sunrise. We would definitely return!!!

We are baby boomers and we want a clean nice place with some conveniences. The lake is right there if you like to swim or boat. For kayaking we took our Kayaks just down the road to Canadice lake. No big motors allowed there only fishing! The owners are great and this is the 3 td year we have stayed there. Their cleaning person Christiana is a great person. Friendly and does a great job cleaning. Thankyou and see you next year God willing.

This is the 2nd summer we have stayed at Cook’s Nook. The cottage is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. There is a steep hill down to the dock…it’s a good cardio workout! The owners are great people and very attentive. We will stay there again in the future.

I recently stayed at Cook's Nook for a week. The cottage was clean, well located, and fully equipped.
The hill down to the water is pretty steep, and might not be doable for someone with mobility issues.
It was quiet at night and there's a great lightshow from the fireflies.
I'm already starting to plan a return next summer.

We had a wonderful experience at Cook’s Nook. The master-suite is huge and has a gorgeous view of the lake. It was in the 90’s the first few days but the window AC units kept us very cool. Everything was super clean and well-organized. The beds and linens were comfy, with lots of extra sheets, blankets and towels. The kitchen was fully-equipped….we only had to bring food & drinks! The only additional things we could recommend are a fire pit and large tote for recyclables. A big thank you to Dave & Judy from our family!!

Our experience was very nice at Cooks Nook. The hosts explained check in process and other details a head of time that left no questions about what to expect. It is a beautiful location with a gorgeous view of the lake, however the steep hill down to the dock would be difficult for those with any physical ailments. Overall our stay was very relaxing and would recommend.

Honeoye Lake is at the back of the property and a short distance from the lodging. This property has many amenities that are found in more expensive listings that typically are taken for granted such as: Full sets of dinnerware, spices, cleaning utensils, cooking equipment, outdoor gas grille with gas grill utensils, even cooking spray for the gas grille itself! 2 Kayaks with paddles and personal flotation devices, Dock into the lake, picnic table, folding chairs, A/C, separate floor fans, washer/dryer with laundry products, soaps, shampoos, extra pillows/blankets, cable TV, WiFi, County water system and centrally located on the lake close to town and access to stores and restaurants. Love this place!

Super clean and so organized. Such a warm welcoming cottage. The lake was beautiful. Loved going kayaking and fishing off the dock. The beds were real comfortable. We had a wonderful time!

A smart, clean, and easily reached house above the west shore of Honeoye Lake, it was perfect for us in spending a stress free few days away. Good parking close to the building leads into a nicely laid out first floor with all we needed for our time there. Open plan living area with two bathrooms, laundry and a comfortable master bedroom and an attached two tier deck overlooking the lake was very nice. The hike down to the dock was steep and a test, as the Cooks had said, but boy, was it worth it. Had a wonderful time relaxing and kayaking, and there is just enough to do in the area to fill out the rest of our time. Would definitely consider returning here.

This was our first vacation as a married couple and we had no complaints. The house was perfect for us and allowed us to escape for a week and enjoy the weather!

All of our needs were met at this cozy cottage on picturesque Honeoye Lake. The decline to the dock would be very difficult for anyone with leg or knee issues. A bit more attention to cleanliness in the bathroom , kitchen and deck would have been appreciated. Overall a good experience. Arriving on Monday presented issues for dinner as most places are closed on Monday and Tuesday so be prepared to eat in.
