About this house rental

Whether you're coming in hopes to find the biggest largemouth bass you've ever caught, or you're toasting to the Finger Lakes Wine Trails; this classic chalet promises to provide you with everything you need to experience a dream vacation. Dive straight into fun when you stay at Riesling Rod and Reel.

Down a path to a private, quiet road you'll find this Honeoye Lake gem. Upon opening the white entry way door you'll immediately feel at home in the open floor plan.

In the kitchen, oak cabinetry and cool lake tones greet you. A large dining table leads the way to the great room. A custom built, stone fireplace spans the length of the south wall. The fireplace is decorative only, but proves to be a beautiful focal point in this cozy room.

Finishing the lower level is a bedroom with two queen beds, painted the perfect shade of blue. A jack and jill bathroom with stand up shower connects the bedroom and hallway.

Upstairs, three additional bedrooms are yours to retreat to each evening. Each room is designed with lake vibes and comfort so you'll be more than at home during your getaway at Riesling Rod and Reel. Completing the second floor is the second full bath.

Outside on the lakeside patio, sip your coffee and watch the ducks on the water each morning. At night after the sun has gone down, share your fishing adventures around the lakeside firepit. Rumor has it; “good things come to those who bait.”

A trip to Honeoye Lake isn't complete without stopping off at CB Craft Brewers, or Mill Art Center & Gallery. Bristol Mountain is also close by for skiing, leaf peeping and golf time fun! Riesling Rod and Reel has everything and more to have you wishing your family could stay just one day longer.

Note: Your safety matters to us! Riesling Rod and Reel has 2 exterior security cameras. The cameras do not look into any interior living areas.

We had an amazing time at this property. Plenty of space for 7 people and two dogs. We loved the fire pit and kayaks for recreation. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Our immediate family stayed here to be with nearby extended family for Thanksgiving. Pros - nice, large bedrooms; large living area so that our family could hang out; right on lake; kitchen well equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, etc; nicely equipped for kids and pets; Cons - no access to propane fireplace (would have been nice as it was in the 20s at night); our big pet peeve was we were not allowed to have 4 additional people (ages 14 months to 11 years old) to host our family’s Thanksgiving dinner so alternative plans had to be made, we were told it was a septic issue-seriously one is still in diapers and I doubt the other 3 would flush the toilets that many times in a 3 hour period 🤔… ; kitchen would be nicer with items like salt/pepper, coffee filters, etc; neighbors’ large dogs allowed to be leash free on the property, digging holes in the yard and leaving piles of “poop”… Summer time amenities would outweigh negative off season issues I’m sure

This is a very nice home. Nice shore line to the lake and lots of shade. We were a little disappointed that there were NO kitchen staples (flour, sugar, mustard, ketchup, mayo, oil, vinegar), but there is a little grocery store on the other side of the lake. Description said to bring outdoor chairs, but there were plenty there.

The house was nice and the layout was as well, but the photos are a bit deceiving when it comes to the size of the living areas. We were disappointed with the lake itself. We have stayed on other Finger Lakes and were not overly familiar with Honeoye Lake as much. Researching the lake didn't save us. We weren't able to into the water on any of the ten days of our stay. The lake struggles with frequent algae blooms which can be a health hazard. It also is dominated by seaweed which we had to remove from the shoreline for the one day when the algae didn't bloom. It's a pretty location but we came prepared to have fun in the water with our grandchildren and that didn't happen. We won't look to rent a property on Honeoye Lake ever again during the summer months. This would be a lovely location for the fall when water fun isn't what you're seeking.

My family had a wonderful time! The house and town are quiet and relaxing. The house was spacious for the 6 of us and had so many amenities. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! If you want to go out to wineries and breweries I highly recommend Canadagiua lake area which is only 25 min from the house! Our favorite brewery was Other Half Brewing company and our favorite restaurant was Nolan’s for a delicious Father’s Day dinner.
