The home and setting are beautiful and relaxing. It is within close proximity to the beach, restaurants and many other area attractions. The owners were very nice, professional and accommodating. This is a great place to enjoy your Carlsbad vacation.

The house was in a great location - close to San Diego, Lego Land, and the beaches. The house was clean and well maintained. A grocery store and a few restaurants are close by. This property has a great view from the backyard. The owners gave us helpful information about the area. They were easy to communicate with and were very prompt with the return of the deposit. I would stay at the property again and I would recommend this house to friends. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

The house is breath taking and the owners were very quick at responding and checking in on everything! The house was so clean and well kept! We had two little kids with us and it was so wonderful to have the backyard to go out to and have the beach and freeway so close! I highly recommend this house you will not regret it!

My husband and I just spent a week with our 4 adult children at this lovely location. We were so pleased with the house located right above the lagoon on a quiet cul de sac. The weather was unusually hot for the time of year but the breezes in the evening were very cool. The property was well kept and the owners were wonderful. We found the location to be perfect for any activity you choose either in San Diego or Los Angeles as it sits between the two places. Close to the beach and easy access to shopping with minimal traffic. We had a great time and would definitely return to this property again.

We had a great time in Carlsbad, this home was in a very quiet neighborhood, the view from backyard was great, the house had everything we needed. Our bed was very comfortable and the kids loved the pool table. The house is very nicely decorated with nicknacks and pictures of a typical california beach Wagon, with the real thing in the garage. My only recommendation to owners is to put a light switch in for light above pool table so we don't have to crawl under a table to pull plug out of outlet. Also, couple of windows in bedrooms were dripping water on inside during our last day when the big rain storm hit southern california. I informed owner and he was going to repair when they returned in March. I would stay again if I go back to Carlsbad. Thanks for the use of the home

Our family was relocating to the Carlsbad area & at the last minute found out our new house was not ready. Marilyn was so understanding & accommodating & allowed us to rent the house for a week without knowing much about us. We have two small children, 2 yrs old & a 4 month old baby and could not bare the idea of staying in a hotel for a week. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and charming. The owners decorated the house with all sorts of souveniers and vacation findings throughout their years, which added a nice warmth and personal touch to the house. Each room has plenty of extra sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, etc. We didn't need to pull out any of our own items, which was very much appreciated considering all of our stuff was in a moving truck. Our 2 year old loved playing in the backyard, although if you have small children, you will have to watch them closely, as there are a lot of items they would love to get their little hands on. It's not exactly equipped for small children like we had, but given they were just a little older, it would be no problem. We used the BBQ in the evenings & my husband loved to stare out a the view while cooking up our dinner. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. I would definitely pass along Marilyn & Don's information to friends or family who needed a cute place to stay in Carlsbad. We enjoyed our stay & are so appreciative for the owner's accommodations on such short notice.

The house was clean, well maintained and a great location for our visit. Close to LegoLand, the beach, shopping, the Coaster rail and the freeway. Has a great view and outdoor patio. I would stay at the property again if I am in the area. I would recommend the property to friends or relatives. The owners were very helpful and prompt with refunding the deposit.

Best vacation spot ever! Clean, well stocked house. The back yard makes you feel like you are at a resort. Just need to bring your suitcase and you are set for your stay. Close to beach, outlet shopping and dining.

My family (2 adults, 3 children under the age of 11) was in town for a high school graduation and family vacation. The house was perfect for our needs, and the owner was accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We had more than ample room, everything was generally provided for in the house, and the location was perfect (i.e. neighborhood, grocery stores, access to major roads, beach and attractions etc.). The house truly served as our refuge from the busy/fun activities of the day. We would most definitely arrange another stay the next time we our in Carlsbad/San Diego.

My family and I were here for my son's wedding in La jolla and could not have been more pleased with this beautiful home with the gorgeous breath taking views. The house was comfortable and offered all amenities one could possibly need. The owners were extremely accommodating and friendly, I really hope to have the opportunity to lease their home again in the future. Awesome experience! : )
