When the builders named this condo complex Yampa View, they weren't kidding. As soon as you walk through the sliding glass doors onto your private balcony to see the view of Emerald Mountain, Sleeping Giant and Mt. Werner, you'll understand what "The Curse of The Yampa Valley" is all about - you will never want to leave. Of course, the spacious, open floor plan with cozy furniture and fixtures will also make you rethink the need to ever go home.
This top floor corner unit at Yampa View gives you privacy plus great views. Open the door and enter the large living area with refinished hardwood floors and a dramatic vaulted ceiling adding to the spacious feel. The dining area and fully equipped kitchen are right next to it. There are new light fixtures and plenty of space for everyone to hang out around the gas fireplace without feeling crowded. Off the dining area is the large balcony with amazing views, surrounded by aspens for privacy and a true mountain feel.
The master bedroom is downstairs and has an en-suite remodeled full bathroom, high vaulted ceiling, and new King bed. Good location, shuttle to the ski base was convenient. the apartment was spacious and comfortable, it was in clean condition. unfortunately the heat in the living room was not working, so the living room and upstairs landing got quite cold at night.

Overall quite nice, 4/5 for sure. Shuttle service is awesome! Could use a bit of TLC on maintenance (fireplace fan not working, upstairs shower drain clogged, other minor maintenance needs).
Note, not walkable in general, its a the top of a big hill.

We booked a four night ski trip to Steamboat and had a fabulous time. Used the short shuttle ride to the resort frequently and never waited more than a few minutes. Perfect getaway for a 3-generation family vacation.

Stayed here for a long weekend with our kids. We loved this property! The kids spent lots of time on the balcony watching wildlife, and even spotted a few bears. The beds were comfortable, and the space was very clean.

The condo is updated and was perfect for 8 people! The property sits up pretty high above Steamboat and cooled nicely in rhe evening. We didnt have issues with parking, but only two spots allowed per unit. The only thing that needs fixing is the upstairs shower door...it would catch and we were afraid it could break and hurt someone. Great spot. We will be back.

Map pin is way off. That was why I booked it. Then address they listed was for a different (much more appealing property). After checking in with Retreatia, I realized we didn’t have adequate parking or towels. Bathroom shower drain was plugged and the help desk wasn’t much. Had they accurately listed the property and I know what we were getting, I would have been satisfied.

The property was okay. We basically just slept there. Parking was difficult. Pictures look better than actual. Random furniture, disrepair plumbing. Did the job.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Yampa Valley for our Ski Trip this past weekend. We got to the unit which was clean, orderly, and had a beautiful view of the Valley. The unit is located nearby the ski lifts, but not walking distance (Or ski in - Ski Out). There is a local shuttle that runs every 15 mins to the lift, and the ski lifts are the first stop!
Overall a great unit that fit 8 of us comfortably. For the price you really cannot beat it. Would stay here again!

Stayed in Steamboat with family (4 adults and 4 teenagers) over the holidays. Unit was the perfect size and the open floor plan allowed everyone the space to be comfortable. Walkable to the base but it is very uphill on the way back. Shuttle service was amazing - loop service to and from the mountain and booked a trip to and from dinner one evening. Would highly recommend.

Great Stay close to Steamboat
I booked this property a year ago, intending to have my family up in March 2020. However, when Steamboat closed due to CoViD, Retreating was very easy to reschedule the visit a year for no extra cost.
Come this year, the stay was excellent. The check in and check out process was easy, the property was very nice and had plenty of room.
Note that this property, although only a 5 minute drive from the parking lots, is not a ski-in/ski-out property; additionally, the Steamboat shuttle does not service this property. Instead, Retreatia provides a shuttle that will take you to the mountains. However, the one time I tried to use it, it never showed up, and when I tried calling the Retretia offices to ask where it was, kept getting voice-mail (it was not lunchtime either). This didn't end up being a problem, as it is a simple 5 minute drive from the property to the parking lots, although in future busier seasons, if there is limited parking, this might be more of a problem.
Despite this snag, the stay was extremely enjoyable, the condo very nice and comfortable, and had plenty of room.

This is the worst vacation stay I have ever booked.
To start, the house was not in the correct location. I was given three different addresses that did not match the area shown on Vrbo.
The rental was not equipped to sleep, six people. The house was run down with dated appliances and wash areas. The rental did not have a hot tub and the grounds where closed with the property. The rental came with a shuttle, but you could never get one due to the long hold times and and no retuned voicemails. I personally would never rent or stay with Retreat in the future.

Very disappointed.
Check in envelope was not where it was supposed to be. Cleaners were still there at check in time. No key for the ski locker, they were to text the code for but never did. Fireplace didn't work. Bathroom door on main floor doesn't close, toilet seat was broken in 2 bathrooms. Mold in the small shower downstairs. Deck chairs were broken. Holes in the couch cushions. And the number for the shuttle to the ski area was wrong. VERY disappointed with the place, needs a lot of maintenance.

Nice place for the price!
This rental property is extremely close to the resort. Easy to find and clean. Could use a remodel but hey, thats why we got such a good price right? Great price for the location and easy enough to pick up the keys and head over. Fair warning, this property is in an HOA so you only get two parking spots... plan properly so you're not leaving your cars in an unsafe space overnight. Overall would definitely stay here again and it was a great getaway for a group of nurses/doctors looking to ski for the weekend!

Clean, spacious condo. Perfect for family of four. Comfortable beds. Easy access to all that Steamboat has to offer. Would recommend replacement of pots and pans as teflon is badly scratched. No washer and dryer and laundry facility had no working washers. Overall, however, this was a great place.

Great Place and Location
We enjoyed our stay. The condo is very nice, clean and in a convenient location. It could use some updating like large screen TVs etc. They supplied most of the essentials but very little sugar and salt. We would highly recommend this place. Everything was seamless and the communication was excellent.

Christmas at Yampa Upper
Property had all the amenities. Great to have humidifiers. Staff to check in and out were friendly and helpful. The bus to mountain was great, driver named Frank was awesome.
Really need to update curtain rods that are sagging, blinds have broken pieces. Fireplace was not working which was fixed promptly. Spiral staircase is slippery and one could really nail themselves trying to pass by or under it.
We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Clean, comfy and spacious
Everything was extremely clean when we came in and the place was laid out really well. They had a ton of appliances for us to use so we only had to bring a few things. They also had a shuttle to use which was super helpful in the winter! The only thing is that the staff was a bit confusing on details. The "guestbook" was always wrong about check in/check out time so had to call a few times to confirm it was incorrect. Then the parking situation was pretty confusing and where we needed to park.

This place was great
Location was awesome. The balcony faces the mountain and you can see straight down into the gondola square. The drive in our own Jeep to base of mountain took 7 min from door to lower lot by the round about. Washer and dryer building were ok, they were coin operated. Should definitely get some quarters if you need to do laundry it’s a dollar for each. They have shuttles that can take you around but we did not use. They had two hot tubs in the same area as washer/dryer building. They were clean and taken care of and outside.My unit itself was ok, it needs some love and maybe some renovations. But still an awesome spot. Feels like you are in one your friends houses in the 90’s. The carpet is really musty and gave us a stuffed up feeling every time we went back or to bed. I think it’s time to be ripped out. It makes the condo smell bad. We opened our windows to air it out. The water pressure in showers do not work that well but hot water is always there. There is no shower in the upstairs hot tub bathroom which is ok, but odd if you have more than 4 people. Furniture also had same problem as carpet, very lived in and musty and has an odor.
But as far as location and hot water and basic stuff this place was great.

It was spacious. It got very hot upstairs until about 2 am then it started cooling down. Bring a box fan to suck out the hot air. The furniture and appliances are out of date. The beds were a tad bit hard but other than that, great, convenient location and spacious place. Looks just like the pictures!

Nice clean well stocked
Condo lived up to all mentioned amenities. Clean, neat, well stocked - dishes, cooking tools, towels, TP. Beds were comfortable, heat worked well, near by washer/dryer efficient, small hot tub clean, small gym.
Staff at retreatia promptly responded and corrected a missing shower head in the 2nd bathroom.
One suggestion - replace non stick frying/sauce pan. Teflon coating missing from wear and tear.

Steamboat 2018
It was a great stay. The staff at Retreatia did a great job accommodating. They even worked with a friend from abroad to deliver and set up a gift. I really appreciate all they did to make the weekend truly spectacular. The view from the balcony is great. we were able to see the fireworks from the resort very clearly. The shuttle was very helpful. It picks you up at your door and drops you off wherever you want. Thank you!
