Our 4 bedroom 3 bathroom condo sleeps 12 and is a great vacation rental for larger families that have a hard time finding a unit big enough for the entire family. If you are looking to rent an additional unit, check out our other unit. It is only a 6 minute walk away. VRBO #1158588
This lovely tropical property is centrally located on the beautiful island of Maui. We are 20 minutes from the airport and central to many activities, shops, and restaurants on the island.
It is located in a beatiful resort. Everywhere you look you will experience well maintained tropical grounds. The resort is very peaceful and relaxing. The pool and Jacuzzi are within meters from the lanai. The resort boasts the largest condo resort pool in Kihei; even your little ones can play in this pool. There are two tennis courts, a ping pong table, and a ground shuffleboard on site. Three large BBQs are also at your disposal at the cabana. You could picnic there as well if you so desire.
The unit is located just across the street from what they call the 6 Mile Beach where you can enjoy a morning jog or sit with a coffee and enjoy the morning breeze or you could simply pick up the beach chairs, and beach toys provided by us and enjoy a day at one of Maui's beaches in the awesome deep blue ocean. Ahhhhh! Hawaii is known as 'paradise Island.'
Our "home away from home" is a 2000 sq ft unit, consisting of 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. We have split air conditioning. Ceiling fans are also in every room. There are two master bedrooms on the main floor with Cal King beds, one of which has an ensuite. The large "Hotel" bedroom upstairs has one double bed one single a queen and a one person futon The 4th "closed loft" bedroom has a queen bed. We also supply a playpen which could also be used for a baby/toddler bed. There is cable T.V. in every bedroom and also in the main living area.
The kitchen is also fully loaded with all your basics and an ice maker on the freezer door. There is a full sized stackable washer and dryer in the hall closet.
The telephone may be used free of charge for calling within the USA and Canada.
We also provide a high chair, stroller, infant and toddler booster seat so you do not need to travel with all that extra bulk. This is something we appreciated when traveling with young ones.
This is a non-smoking unit inside and out and absolutely no pets, due to allergies.
This unit is cleaned and inspected before you arrive and again after you leave.
We also provide you with our white 8 passenger Suburban. contact is at 780 876 4333. Inspections are done according to Maui law. (its not a new one) We leave it to your discretion on whether they want to use it or not You must provide proof of insurance with collision before you may use it. Our insurance will not cover you. The fuel tank is full when you arrive. Remember its free to use on the condition the you fuel it up, wash, and clean it before you leave. If our agents need to do that the fuel cost plus $130.00 will be taken from your damage deposit
If you rent an extra vehicle it will need to be parked on the along the fence
Check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out is 10:00am. We do not do a back to back booking on Sundaysđ

We were glad to have a vehicle included with the rental, that was very convenient to have a car that fit 8 people. The unit included many amenities that we used such as beach towels, chairs, and kitchen equipment. The unit is very spacious and fits many people. The pool was very nice and the location was great.

Owner gave us two addresses and two check in codes for Unit 5A. Very confusing. The refrigerator's ice maker did not work, only 1 of 5 tv's worked, Freezer did not keep things fully frozen, fan in one bathroom didn't work and washer smelled of mold/mildew. Unit was roomy and in good location but upstairs bath wasn't very clean and unit is very dated. Needs painting and modern updates.Very disappointing for the price paid. Should be an adjustment in price made by owners.

Our family of 12 loved staying here. Great location. Plenty of room. Three big bathrooms. Our only suggestion is that the bedroom with a queen bed upstairs needs its own AC unit and a new mattress. Otherwise the place was great! It's really hard to find anything to rent on Maui for big families and this is the place plus it comes with a Suburban which was wonderful to have use of. Highly recommend.

It was the first time my family took a vacation together and it was our first time booking with vrbo. We were a little scared about booking but so glad we found this gem. The location was great for us, the community pool is literally a few steps away and having the suburban was a PLUS! Yolanda is an amazing host and was quick to answer msgs. We are all very happy with our stay here.

We had 10 of us from ages 8-65 stay at the house and it was fabulous! Plenty of space for everyone to sleep in their own rooms (by families) and eat inside or outside together.
The back of the house walks right to the gated pool, where there was no more than 3 other people in with us at a time. The hot tub was great and the beautiful plumeria and palm trees all around made this place a beautiful getaway.
We could walk across the street to the beach, and the family lived this as well.
The house is central to all plazas, markets, and basically everything!!
We had a great time and our host was quick with responses. Thank you for a great time!

This property was perfect for our family group of 11 which included five adults and six children age 10 months to eight years. We really appreciated all of the beach toys and beach chairs along with the wagon to cart it all to the beach. We spent part of every day at the pool and also made use of the tennis courts and the barbecues in the cabana area. The kitchen was stocked with every kind of pot, bowls, dishes and appliances that you would need. We were able to use the property vehicle which was awesome so we didnât have to rent a second car.
The owners were easy to work with and we highly recommend this property for family groups of all ages! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolute perfection in Maui. This condo was perfect for our first ever trip to paradise. We stayed with another family, 4 adults and 7 kids ages 18-9 and we were not crowded at all. We loved that the condo was spotless, had a washer and dryer, steps away from the pool, beautiful lanai we enjoyed daily, a 3 min walk to the beach, everything you could need in a kitchen, comfortable beds and perfect location! The beach walk was so easy, with a crosswalk to cross the somewhat busy street, but drivers in Kihei are so mindful of walkers, we never had a problem crossing the street. The neighborhood was nice a quiet, other than the roosters, which we LOVED! We were 40 minutes from anything you wanted to do in Maui which was great. Never to far from anything! Kihei is a wonderful little town that had such a good local flare, definitely didnât feel like a resort town, but we all loved that! Highly recommend this condo, Yolanda and Lee were wonderful hosts, very good communication and such a clean condo! Mahalo Yolanda and Lee for helping to make Maui magical for us!

We stayed at Yolanda & Leoâs house for 7 days and had a wonderful time. There were 11 of us in the group. The distance from the beach was great. We did a walk to the brewery one morning and stayed for lunch. It was challenging for Me at 70 and bad lungs but rewarding to make it!! You definitely need a vehicle. We used the vehicle from the house and rented one to accommodate everyone. If there was any problem (like the dishwasher failing) it was dealt with promptly. Actually they replaced the dishwasher!
They are truly great hosts, available and yet they do not bother you at all. Thanks for a week of wonderful memories!

This condo was perfect for our family of 9, ages 2 1/2 to 73. The layout provided great separation - family with 3 kids upstairs, the other 2 couples downstairs. There is lots of room to spread out on the main floor. The huge lanai opens up to the grassy area, the pool is about 30 feet away. Our toddler loved playing on the grass. The resort grounds are very nice. The condo is very well stocked: kitchen, beach items, toys and games, baby items and tourist information. The seniors really appreciated âregular sizedâ lawn chairs! This condo is very good value, with the added bonus of the use of the Suburban. It is in a good location. It is an older unit, needs some updating, but this does not affect staying here.

This condo worked very well for our family group of 8. Plenty of room and amenities were great! Really appreciated the extra touches and supplies - fresh fruit on the counter on arrival and fresh juice in the fridge! Lots of games for the kids - they loved the small table foosball. Plenty of beach equipment. The included suburban was the best. These things made this condo a big step above other rentals weâve done in Kihei. Location is across the street from the beach but restaurants etc are quite far away and a vehicle is definitely required.

Our family recently stayed here and I have to say that it was perfect for all of us. Plenty of room to accommodate 9 adults, 3 toddlers, 2 teens and 2 babies. Perfect location with amenities and close to everything! Leo and Yolanda are great hosts and provide everything to make your stay more enjoyable and are in touch every step of the stay.

Koa Resort Unit 5A was exceptional & exceeded all our expectations. It was perfect for families especially those with small children (we had a 1 year old and a 1-1/2 year old); Not only was there beach & pool equipment for adults but ALSO toys, life jackets, high chairs, & safety gates for little ones as well. The car was a huge plus - a roomy Suburban, and the location of the unit with a lovely big grassy area in front of the lanai & across from the pool made it ideal for families. Check-in was easy and the owners very accessible if questions. In all it was holiday perfection!!!

We had a wonderful time in that 4 bedroom condo; walking distance to the beach (turtles hiding on rocks when you enter the beach and make a right); surfing beach for beginners not far.
The kitchen is great, lots of utensils to cook; the bedroom with all the beds where awesome for all our kids; pool in the community is great (and a hot tub)

Everything was great! It was perfect for our whole family of 7 adults and 2 children. It was clean and in a great location which was very close to a beach. Having the suburban was such a fantastic plus for our large family. This property is a good value for your money.

From the number of beds to the large table and roomy kitchen, the condo was spacious enough for us. It was great having the huge grassy area for the kids, they could just go out the back door and run around.
The Suburban came in handy as we were able to load it up and head to the beach! We also rented 2 cars and were able to park them in the condo lot.
Yolanda went above and beyond being available when I had questions for her.

5 stars all around, owners were very responsive anytime we had any questions. The suburban was a nice added touch. Place was very clean and we had zero issues with anything. We had 8 people in our group and we never even ran out of hot water after beach days. Condo is close to everything because the island is so small!!!

This property was great for our large family. Steps to the pool area, and a quick walk across the street and your on the beach. They provide everything that you can think of. The only negative for our family was the lack of cozy bedding. We would definitely stay here again!

This location was wonderful for our needs. We were bringing together family from Australia and Canada. The property was great. Grandkids loved the large pool; right outside the backdoor of this unit. The grounds are open and comfortable. Overall A+ for the property.
The unit was large and easily accommodated our group of nine. Very well-equipped kitchen (appliances are newer); all the toys for outdoor activities, etc. No complaints on this count. However, it is an older unit; the interior does not have that modern light, bright and airy torpical look.
The host, Yolanda, was very responsive to our communications. The only difficulty we experienced was arriving late at night and having difficulty finding this unit. Suggestion: include a map of the property in the welcome information package.
Overall, when we return to Maui we would rent this property again. Pluses far outweigh the negatives for our group.

Yolanda was the perfect host. Great place.. and everything you could want. Tons of beach gear, floats, noodles, beach chairs , a wagon and towels. If you have babies (we didnât) it seems you would be set. The beds are comfy, the pool and jacuzzi were really nice and they had 2 tennis courts which we used every day. This was an amazing location too. About 15-40 minutes from anywhere you want to go.

What can I say, Yolanda thought of absolutely everything we could possible need in a rental place. Right down to flash lights and cupcake pans :). We spent two weeks here and the weather may not have been the greatest but there was lots to do for our kids and grandchildren. Between Puzzle's, games, fuzzballs, Tennis, shuffle board, to name a few things that were available for those uglier days. Pool was refreshing on the hotter days and thank goodness for the washer and dryer as it was being used every day. There was 9 of us and lots of space for getting together or quite time when needed.
Thank you for everything you did for us and I would definitely recommend your place to anyone who wants to go to Kihei.

Leo & Yolanda were amazing hosts! They were responsive to texts and were very helpful. We LOVED the house. 8 adults and 3 kids all fit wonderfully. The location was perfect for us to be at different beaches each day and not be far from home - there is even a beach within walking distance of the unit.
Pool is close by and grill area was fun for a couple of dinners at home. The appliances in the home are all up to date and the kitchen is set up perfectly to make meals for your large group.

Nicely updated condo roomy enough for 11 family members. Great island location. The fully stocked kitchen with up- to- date appliances, cookware and dishes did not lack any item that was needed to cook for 11 people. Fully stocked paper products and the suburban availability were above and beyond normal condo expectations.
Condo use/ suburban instructions well defined. Owners were immediately responsive to queries and concerns. Split a/c worked well. However, loft bedroom warmer than desired. Highly recommend this comfortable and reliable rental for large families.

The area of the island was great for us. It had a beach across the street, stores and shopping close by, we were pretty much central to going to the other parts of the island and we didnât have the âtouristâ crowds to deal with.
The condo is in a good location with the unit being close to the parking lot and still being a little secluded. The resort and surrounding area has a bunch of things to do if you donât want to spend every day at the beach or exploring the island. It has the pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and picnic areas on the resort.
The house has all things you would expect with the added bonus of a vehicle to use. It is stocked nicely with beach chairs, water toys, a cooler, towels and a wagon to cart the beach items to the vehicle and the beach. We had two families using the condo and we had enough space to be comfortable.
The owners kept in touch and were responsive when we had a small issue arise. It was a great vacation and good experience with the property.

Plenty of space for our family. The layout is perfect for gathering together with enough room so people can have privacy and quiet if they like. Access to the car with car seats for kids was a great bonus, and we made good use of the wagon, beach chairs and toys! Thanks for a great stay!

I read somewhere in the property description that Yolanda's goal was to have everything we would need in the house and she has achieved that! Our family, ages ranging from 84-6, had everything we needed... from cooking supplies, to bedding, to toys, games and beach gear. We especially appreciated the chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, wagon, etc. We also used their suburban- which was great and I feel above and beyond in hospitality- and saved us a bunch of money. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the patio outside and swam in the pool at some point every day. I will reiterate what I read in other posts and found to be true- although near other places, the home felt very private and we were often the only ones in the pool and/or hot tub. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
