Atlantic Sunrise A - This listing is half of a duplex. The beach is your backyard with lots of space for everyone, including your leashed pup. Take a short walk and dip your toes in the ocean. There are beautiful views from the balcony and deck. The first level offers a bedroom and bath, a spacious great room, a dining area, and a kitchen with a breakfast bar. The main living area includes comfy couches, a large HDTV, and access to an oceanfront deck for sunbathing. Set up your laptop and enjoy the free Wi-Fi. The full-size kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, and appliances large and small. It will be easy to cook up a delicious family meal. Harris Teeter, Publix, Winn Dixie, and Walmart are nearby for all your groceries. Upstairs, there is a large sunny main suite! The bath boasts a large walk-in shower and a separate powder area. The second floor includes a third bedroom that has two twin beds and a private bath. Spacious, convenient, and beautifully appointed, located in a private oceanfront setting but close to shopping and restaurants. We have many return guests that just love this oceanfront spot. We were pleased with the condo. It is situated close to so many good restaurants. There was ample room for the 3 of us. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessities. Our room upstairs had another great view with seating outside of our room. Loved the seating area on the beachfront side. Thoroughly enjoyed the view and all the critters—Gopher and rabbits. We would recommend

The unit looked like the pictures but they were probably 8 years old. The toilets were stained. The carpet was stained. One bedroom had large white patches on the wall. There were 3 unmatched wine glasses so bring your own. The two bedrooms on the front of the house got a lot of street noise traffic at night making it hard to sleep.

The house was a great place to relax and catch up with family and friends after a memorial service for my mom. The views were perfect and the walk over to the beach was nice. Extra bonus - there are lots of bunnies living in the dune in the backyard- super cute! The house was clean and had basically everything we needed . One suggestion - add dish towels, a kitchen sponge or two and some additional dishware and glasses. The host was responsive and our check in was a beeeze. Over all a great experience .

Property was so conveniently located and is a great layout with a beautiful wooden pathway to the beach. If I have one suggestion it would be to power wash the outside I know this was the off season but it was a little off putting and there was a good bit of junky chairs on the side of the property however overall it was clean and we thoroughly enjoyed

This place was perfect for our needs. We Loved walking out to the beach from the house. House had everything we needed. Our dog loved long walks on the dog friendly beach. House is big enough for everyone. Brian and Julie were responsive to my emails. I would stay there again.

This property was located in the perfect spot! Loved being on the beach. The views are gorgeous. The physical building needs to be maintained a bit more. I have rental property and I know it can be time consuming. Lots of damages that we feared we would charged for…wrote a text asking about this but never received a response. But like I said great place to stay.

Overall, we had a wonderful time. The beach is beautiful, Amelia Island is beautiful. The house could use a good pressure washing and cleaning. I think they need to tear out the carpet and put down a different type of flooring. It smelled like pets. I brought a pet, so I appreciate a pet friendly home. However, the sofas needed cleaned. I have slipcovered sofas at home and I understand they need a thorough cleaning about once every two months. The home could also come more well-stocked with the basics. I could not find any kitchen dish towels. I had to go and buy them. The upstairs bedroom has a magnificent view and is very inviting. Overall, the house was pleasant. It just could use a deep cleaning, some updates, and stocked for guests.

We enjoyed our stay in FB more than we expected! The house was well-stocked and perfectly located providing us with our own private beach! Linens were fine, and all kitchen needs were met. Communication with Julie was always easy. What a lovely place ti be!

Overall our stay was great , there were a few things we found out during our visit that weren't meantioned in reviews. The street noise in the guest bedrooms is a little loud but we understood that there was no way to change that. Also the upper deck is not sturdy for a crowd. Highly suggest replacing the wood under that deck. Dishes had to be rewashed by us. Other than that- it is a great location and beautiful views from master bedroom and living room. We enjoyed every minute.

Yes, this property is right on the beach and the area is beautiful. Sadly and very obviously, nobody cares about the condition/furnishings of this property because they know the location and the beauty of the beach will trump the inside furnishings/condition of the property. I would like to add that this is not a housekeeping problem - this is an owner who doesn't want to spend any money to put the interior of the property in the condition it deserves.

Great location. House management horrible. Email them the week of the trip to ask if we arrived early could we go to the house. Response was and I quote, absolutely not as long as it is after 4. I have the email still. After the fact management tried to claim a misunderstanding happened. No, they were just beyond rude and was trying to make excuses now. Also the house was not very clean. I would definitely stay on the island again, just with a different company running the property. Our neighbors in the duplex said they got the same treatment from management, rude and uncaring. Same yourself a headache and find a different company to rent from.

Wonderful location. Right on A1A, right on the beach. Perfect for families to stay. There was even two sea turtle nests right by the beach access when we stayed.
The big basket of beach towels by the back door and the outdoor shower might have been the most used and appreciated amenities provided. Unfortunately for our trip the dishwasher was broken (we were given notice thankfully and made sure we had paper plates and bowls to make things easier on ourselves), but luckily for future guests (and us when we inevitably come back) as they will get to use a new dishwasher.
All communication was responded to quickly and anything we brought attention to was taken note of or taken care of while we were there.
In some other reviews they mentioned over night parking if more than two cars at the public beach access down the road. It’s not 24/7 so I wouldn’t recommend it for over night. You can park a third car perpendicularly in the driveway apron. Or in the shopping complex by the bealls was suggested by a local bartender.
Wonderful views, especially from the master bedroom window. Easy to get to downtown where you will find delicious food, and fun things to do if you need a break from the beach. And can even walk down the beach to the tiki bar for live music and a jungle gym play area for the kids to play. Timoti’s also has a play set and outdoor seating so kids can play and run around.
We enjoyed our stay here and will be sure to stay again.

Location is perfect, right on the beach and in a great spot with very little crowds.
The price does reflect the house.
It's very outdated, could use a new paint job and some repairs. The couch with the sofa bed is literally falling a part, dishwasher did not work and please make sure you follow the rules and don't go on the deck out to the beach without shoes, it's dangerous. Some of the doors didn't lock to the bathroom. Overall the house was clean, kitchen is stocked with whatever you need to cook and I like that they had both bath and beach towels.

Duplex need a thorough cleaning and painting. Hard to get out of the driveway due to oncoming traffic. Our next door neighbors were wonderful and we could hear no noise from them. Restaurants and grocery stores were nearby. We had all the dishes and cookware we needed.

Met our needs in terms of location and size. Love the beach access. There are some items that need addressing: dishwasher, back decking (wood rotting in some places). It could use a refresh. Price was very reasonable.

The house was very spacious for our family of 5 plus grandparents all staying together. Each room has a separate and very spacious bathroom which was a big bonus. The location is great, only a short drive to the downtown area and walking distance to sliders and the public beach access. The back patio was very nice and the upstairs balcony provided great views. We had a small issue with the outdoor shower and the management company responded very quickly and had it fixed the next day. If you plan on cooking bring the essential spices and oils as there are none in the property. Some houses I’ve stayed in have them leftover from other guests but this property did not have any of them. Overall a fantastic property and great experience.

A great location on a fantastic beach! As easy drive to restaurants (highly recommend V's Pizza, Happy Tomato and Cafe Karibo), downtown and Fort Clinch. (There are no sidewalks, and the street is too busy, even during off season, to safely walk.) The deck is in sun most of the day. Since the house isn't on "stilts" you can't see the beach from the house, but you can see the ocean. Inside, the furniture is comfortable; the beds are comfortable; there is a cabinet with lots of games; and the TV has a great selection of movies and shows. The towels are super plush. We heard no noise from the connecting unit or any other house on the beach. The kitchen is well-stocked. This is one of the cleanest places we've ever rented, except for the top of the refrigerator which had been overlooked for awhile; and the floor fan in the master bedroom. The front door could use weather stripping which would keep out the bugs. We couldn't get the ocean-side windows to stay up. So, we found some boards and PVC pieces and propped them open with those. We left them on the property for future tenants.

We had a girl's weekend here during Shrimpfest and enjoyed every minute. We ended up spending very little time downtown because it was so wonderful just staying at the house!

Good proximity to beach, no sound from adjacent unit, bedrooms spaced for privacy, plus all en suite. DO NOT, however, be misled by responses to previous posts that issues are being addressed, repairs made, deep cleaning done, etc. This clearly had not happened! Property was surface clean at best, with visible filth in places like the top of the fridge, kitchen cabinets/backsplash areas, window frame over kitchen sink (mold?), on upholstered furniture, windows (absolutely filthy) and carpet (especially in corners and where carpet meets the walls). We had to move a piece of furniture away from a wall and found a disgusting accumulation of dust, dead bugs and medication. A gap at the edge of the front door meant we dealt w/bugs in the entry way every day, and landscapers blew dirt and leaves into the unit when they were there. Two+ inch gap under the balcony storm door meant the larger door couldn't be left open for fresh air. Most windows were inoperable, so again no fresh air. Deck finish was peeling and many boards rotting/crumbling. Other issues included burned out lightbulbs in overhead lighting, poor quality 100% polyester bed linens, cooking, table and glassware that was scratched, mismatched, etched/cloudy or otherwise damaged. Per information posted in the unit, guests check-in a minimum of 18 hours apart to allow for deep cleaning/sanitizing, yet adjacent unit was turned over in five hours one of the days. VRBO absolutely needs to review and revise host's status.

Exactly what we needed for a Christmas in Fernandina Beach with family. We were easily able to host Christmas dinner for our large family from the area. The property is roomy and just what we needed. The bedsneere comfy and waking up to the beautiful sunrise view from the master bedroom was sheer perfection! The master bedroom windows need a little updating to open easily and the master bathroom water pressure was lacking, but the guest bathrooms were great! The only thing missing in the kitchen was a good knife and I know how hard that is to keep in a rental. Very quick replies from management when we had questions. Really loved that there is an accessible bedroom and bathroom for my mother should we want to have her stay with is next timw. Only two parking spots but visitors could easily park at the beach access just five houses down. Would definitely stay here again!!

Pros:
Beautiful and easy access location. Master bed and Queen main floor bed very comfy.
Cons:
Twin beds were very uncomfortable. Recommend sharpening knives. The key hanging in foyer does not fit locks. It was a non-issue for us as the keypad lock worked well.
