This little house is perfectly located on the river! Mirror Pond, Drake Park, Downtown Bend and Old Mill are all within easy walking distance. Not to mention restaurants, food trucks and breweries. Our 9 year old Golden Retriever was able to easily enter and exit the river. Although the deck could use some new paint, it had plenty of seating, a big table and umbrellas. Watching the tubers float by is an enjoyable activity and Bendites are a friendly bunch who will chat as they float by. There are two kayaks that are easy to get in and out of the river, as well. Our granddaughters enjoyed just jumping off the deck and swimming. There is a really nice barbecue on the back porch, as well. The inside of the house is immaculate. The carpeting is very new, furniture is comfy, and the bed is extremely comfortable, as well. The kitchen is very well stocked. It has everything you could possibly need no matter what you were cooking. The pots/pans are quality and the stove is gas! There is a microwave and dishwasher, as well. We were there a week and enjoyed every second. John was out of town when we were there but quickly responded to our question about the TV and immediately sent someone over to help us! If you want to be on the river in Bend, this is the place!

We stayed here for a week with our two dogs while I was working in Redmond. It was the perfect jumping-off spot to explore Bend and the surrounding area. A lot of things were an easy walk from the house or a very quick drive. Our dogs adored the yard, as did we, enjoying the river and the wildlife (human and otherwise) that floated by. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was a good size with great water pressure in the shower. There was a LOT of construction on the street, but having off-street parking meant it never bothered us. If you have never been to Oregon, know that they have a bottle and can deposit, so you'll want to hold onto those and return them at a BottleDrop location instead of tossing them into the recycle bin. A few heads up for other folks staying here: - The backyard is NOT securely fenced, so if you have a wanderer, you'll want to tether them. They can also crawl under the deck (even our 70 pound goobers). There is a small fence, but it is not secure - There is only a curtain for a bedroom "door", so if you are sound sensitive and have someone who will be staying up later, you'll want to wear earplugs - There are no laundry facilities in the house, but there is a great laundromat about a 1/2 mile away where you can do your laundry and walk across the street to Sunriver Brewing or Boss Rambler for coffee/beer/food My partner and I kept saying how we would gladly live there full time if (A) we had the money and (B) had 99% less stuff. It's so special.

This was a perfect location for me close to walking trails. . Located on the river which is a plus. The house is very dated but with a few upgrades would be super cute. Interior furniture and floor rugs need updated.
