About this house rental
This beautiful new construction home is cozy and comfortable. Plenty of off street parking, and space to spread out, with plenty of room to enjoy the outdoor spaces. With 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms you will have no shortage of sleeping arrangements. The home has a suite on the lower level with private entrance and kitchen. Combined by a stairway, the home provides multiple options for 2 families traveling together, or a large group. All together the home is almost 3000 sf. Walk to downtown, coffee shops, the skate park, etc. This home is right in the middle of it all. Easy access to everything.There is a great outdoor patio and deck spaces for entertaining or just hanging out. Large table for outdoor meals. BBQ grill, sun shade, and views. Several of our families traveled to Hood River for a destination wedding and was very pleased with the size of this property as well as the location. Plenty of room for for families to spread out +2 small children great backyard lots of utensils in the kitchen plenty of plates and kitchen ware- Saved a ton of money being able to purchase groceries and cook for everyone on site would highly recommend this if you have a large group the The grill, the patio, the picnic tables, and downstairs was pretty awesome

Our three generations of family members appreciated being able to spread out in the six roomy bedrooms. It was easy to walk into town, or drive out of town to get to all of the interesting activities in the area. We liked meeting Merle the tortoise down the street as well!

The home was very well taken care of, we lawn care is immaculate, the host was super accommodating, and overall the stay was great!

Great location in beautiful neighborhood with a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. The six bedrooms allowed us to spread out 4 adults and 6 teenagers and there was lots of outdoor space in a well-maintained yard. One room with bunkbeds or two twin beds would’ve made it a bit kid-friendlier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here!

A spacious home with space for everyone. It has a downstairs area with a small kitchen, great for families with small children and older adults upstairs.
It was a challenge to get the dishwasher going. It probably needs some adjustment or repair.

It's our third year year staying in this house for our family reunion and will be back next year as well. Perfect location, amenities and cleanliness.

Our group loved the place. Our young children really appreciated having the books and utensils for them. It had plenty of kitchen items to be able to cook a meal. The instructions for check-in and -out were very clear and simple. It also has a beautiful view of Mount Adams during the day! We loved it.

This house was in a great location. We could walk to downtown. The space was huge and fit our large group with lots of extra space for the kiddos. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Hood River. We had no issues while there and hope to be back again.

I planned a surprise birthday party for my husband’s 60th birthday, and had friends and family coming from Oregon and Washington. This place couldn’t have been better. There was enough space that we weren’t on top of each other (we were a group of 12) but still could all gather in the living and dining room for meals drinks and games. We walked into town, some went on hikes while others went for beers at a brewery. The view of Mt. Adams is perfect for a moment of respite if you’re in a crazy group of 12. We definitely got lucky with the weather, but everyone in our group commented on how perfect this property was. We loved it and plan on making Hood River and this rental our future gathering spot. Many, many thanks to Amy for being so accommodating and responsive to my million questions and emails. 10/10!

This house was great for our family get together. The kids had a blast playing in the lofted area downstairs and there were lots of kid friendly activities that kept them busy. Tons of space and everyone was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Good space but could only find about 6 wash clothes for 12 adults. Mattress were not very comfortable on some beds. Not very clean and rugs had stains. Some scratches on counter between refrigerator and Cupboards. Fairly quiet. Directions about recycle were confusing.

We didn’t have much of problems, besides of some minor stuff. Like, garbage wasn’t picked, or no garbage disposal, or shortages of hot water. But overall the property was suitable for our big family with children

Loved this house for our two family holiday getaway. Plenty of room for everyone and the two levels made for a little privacy for each. Great location near restaurants and activities. Internet was a little slow so we used our hot spot instead. Kitchen had everything we needed, lots of kid-friendly dishes too. We will definitely stay here again next year for our yearly Xmas Train trip.

My family enjoying getting together in Hood River this year and this vacation home ended up being perfect for us. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group. The kitchen was extremely well equipped for holiday cooking. We enjoyed the view to Mt. Adams that could be seen at times from the dining area and the ability to walk to the downtown Hood River shopping district from the home, and yet the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. This is not a fancy house, but functional and we would definitely rent again.

This house was perfect for our annual reunion of six college friends. The house was clean and well-stocked. , with comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. It has a peekaboo view of the river and Mt. Adams. A large, private deck with tables overlooks a lovely yard. Easy walk to downtown Hood River's shops and restaurants.
One minor complaint: the living area's seating was limited, even for six people. We took turns sitting on the ottoman. This is only an issue if your group will be spending a lot of time in the same room together.

I rented this home for a family get together weekend. My family is large, and 6 siblings with spouses would be attending. One couldnt join us at the last minute. This home was plenty big enough for us all. It was clean and very well supplied. We all agreed to make this a yearly adventure and i know that my first choice would be this house. Thank you!!

The house/kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with what we needed, had a great outdoor / bbq area, and it very walkable to the downtown area. The only downside was that the internet wasn't always reliable with multiple people working.

We spent the last week in August at this location. Our family, of seven adults and three children fit quite comfortably. The lower level was perfect for one daughter and her family which included a four year old, and an almost three-month old baby.
We have stayed at countless rentals over the years, and I have to say this locations was by far the most well equipped. What you do not see in the pictures are the items inside the cabinets.... plenty of china/silverware, bowls, pots/pans, glasses/mugs, even children's plates and utensils. Oh, and the spices, paper items, and junk drawer essentials were outstanding. We felt as though we were at home, just at a different house. There were even two high chairs!
While there, in addition to my son's wedding, we enjoyed a train ride, paddlewheel boat ride, local food, lavender fields, found a great children's store, and had an exceptional shopping experience at The Ruddy Duck. There were also some great playgrounds for the children.
The back yard was a favorite spot for the children to run up and down the hill. We also enjoyed the flowers that were still in bloom. The deck and grill areas were utilized as well.
Our flight was delayed with over half of us arriving a day late, and one even a day later. Though no fault of our rental, it threw off some of our plans. The trash pick-up schedule did not coincide with our dates, and we generated lots of trash. Fortunately, my son who lives there, picked up our excess.
We are from the South and accustomed to sweltering heat and cold air conditioning. The air conditioners could have put out more cool air, but there were plenty of fans for those of us who were uncomfortable.
We highly recommend staying at Cascade Haus. If the opportunity for a return were to arise, we would not hesitate to book again.
