Inside the home you will find two queen bedrooms, each with their own bath. The home features a living room and a parlor, with plenty of seating. The outdoor space is landscaped in keeping with traditions of old Fredericksburg, and the location provides unbeatable privacy, while still offering proximity to Main St.

Very quaint cottage and close to Main Street. The owner was so sweet and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. Beds are very comfortable.

A really beautiful home overflowing with charm. Had just about everything you need to make it a comfy stay. The beds/couches were extremely comfy, soft, and clean, and the bathrooms were also very clean and well stocked. We had a small pet and he enjoyed the yard and quietness of the house. The location is walkable to Main street, but the touristy area is a very long walk so it was much easier to drive there. The neighbors were slightly noisy, but not enough to be an issue and you can't hear them inside the house at all. Also, the back neighbor (not the noisy one) flies a good-sized confederate flag. It's mostly obscured by trees and a good distance away. Check In and Check Out were hassle free, which is always appreciated.

I'm an architect so I was especially drawn to the beautiful period detailing and woodwork in the house. The backyard and gazebo were charming — wish we were able to stay long enough to have breakfast or cocktails out there … next time! Great location too, far enough away from the busy downtown strip but still convenient to everything in Fredericksburg and areas around. We'd stay again!

OMG, this cottage was amazing very pleasant and the town is amazing lots of winery and great antique shopping. The night life is not bad at all. I would definitely be back and would stay at the Butterfly cottage again. No need to bring a thing to this cottage everything you need is available. The upgrades to this beautiful cottage are amazing.

My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our girls’ weekend. Beds were comfy with nice sheets. We had an issue with the TV and the property manager came out in the cold and dark and fixed it for us. She even built us a fire while she was there. Would stay there again.

Lots of space, comfy beds. Two full bedrooms and bathrooms was very nice to have. Process was easy start to finish. We weren’t there much but it has enough space to really enjoy with friends/family if you wanted a longer stay. Middle of summer in Texas and the temperature inside was very comfortable and didn’t seem to fluctuate.

The house was offset from the Main Street, giving us a quiet stay, but in walking distance to the downtown restaurants. We walked into town every day, it was fantastic. Would stay there again.

The property was great. Everything was within super short driving distance. Would have walked it, but there was a small section that was out of the busy part of town which made us nervous since it was just 2 ladies. But it wasclose enough to walk to everything in town.

Hello! We had an amazing stay at the Butterfly Cottage. We were comfortable and the property decor was outstanding. Our rooms were comfortable & the accommodations were fantastic. We’d like to give a little constructive criticism which would’ve made our stay 100%:
1. The coffee maker was broken and the initial pot took around 2.5 hours to brew. We found 2 more coffee makers in the cabinets and only one of them worked (and it was the small 4 cup one that worked, unfortunately).
2. The toilets were incredibly low and small!! We barely fit on the seat & with every ‘sit’, it took a lot of effort to stand. We are tall people.
That is all! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

The property was clean, and located very close to the main drag and marketplatz. It's definitely charming, and I love the butterfly motif that carries through the property.
Pros:
- It's cute. Back garden/porch area is great. Love the antiques and books throughout the house.
- Centrally located. Very small street just off of main drag. You're 5 minutes or less from everything.
- pet friendly. I ended up not bringing my pups, but they provided treats and a wire kennel. The yard is not 100% fenced in, so be aware if you're bringing an escape artist.

Cons:
- Dust. I had a headache staying in this house. Cobwebs in the corners all over, especially the bathrooms.
- Very thin windows mean you hear in depth conversations from the neighboring property or just people walking down the street, most notable in the front bedroom with the insanely high bed.
- Water pressure is insane. This is a pro in one bathroom, con in the clawfoot tub because water gets EVERYWHERE. The hand sprayer literally achieved liftoff my first time using the shower because I didn't realize. We had a good laugh.
- I know it's an old/historic home, but some of the thresholds into rooms are loose or just way too raised. It would be a nightmare for someone with disabilities.
-TINY trash cans with no liners.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and this was a good place to use as a base while we ate and drank our way through fredericksburg.

Location was good. Couldn’t sleep in front bedroom, too much road noise. Nicely equipped kitchen and appliances. Master en-suite claw foot tub/shower is a sure way to get everything in the bathroom wet! Not a fan. Beds were comfortable but found an over abundance of chairs, stools, tables, nic naks to move around comfortably. Really nice yard areas and the porch swing was my getaway spot!!
