HOSTS - Private guesthouse to yourselves
SLEEPS - Up to 4 people; king bedroom & the second bedroom has 2 twin beds
BATH - 2 baths; both have walk-in showers
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped kitchen with Keurig Coffeemaker
BREAKFAST - No breakfast provided. Coffee and teas are left for you.
AMENITIES - WiFi, large smart TV with cable, hot tub, fire pit, front and back porch with outdoor seating, washer & dryer

PETS - YES (limit 2, must be crated in owner's absence)

Up to two dogs are allowed but there is an additional nightly pet fee of $27/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

All was great. But note - It is not a fully fenced yard and was alittle surprised about astroturf. Nice safe neighborhood and was able to take my dog on long walks.

The location is great, within walking distance to Main Street! House is very cute, comfortable and nicely decorated. Was disappointed in the lack of backyard maintenance, couldn't get to the fire pit area because of extremely tall weeds that were in desperate need of mowing, weeds growing up through the back deck and dirty outdoor furniture. We thought the house overall could use a deep cleaning. We would give this property another chance.

Overall, we were pretty satisfied with this property. The interior was pretty true to the photos. Plenty of room for 4 people. It’s about a mile walk to Main Street where all the shops are. It’s on a very quiet street. The backyard was disappointing, though. The fire pit was overgrown with weeds and not accommodating as well as the front garden. All the outside furniture (front and back) was dirty/mildewing.

This home was in the perfect spot for my sister and I to just relax and get away from it all, while being close to shopping, dining and all the fun stuff to do in FBurg! We liked the decor, the home was immaculate, the beds were comfy & the front porch and back yard were just great for relaxing. We enjoyed the coffee bar, too. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Very clean and comfortable, few things that wish were better. Master shower water only gets to warm even after letting it run for quite some time; master toilet runs and runs until you remove lid and replace yellow cap; guest shower doors are off their track and only open safely for small entry into shower; only one recliner works in den area. Beds, linens are awesome.

Overall the interior of this property is very nice. The master bath toilet continued to need repair over the weekend and the dryer did not heat. The outside of the property needs work as there are dead plants and the patio furniture is for the most part broken. There is also no complete back yard fence, so if you are bringing your dogs, you need to be aware of that. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Our family loved our stay at Hackberry Haus! The location is fantastic and the house is very clean and comfortable. The backyard is an oasis! The hot tub is a welcome retreat after a fun day of dining and shopping on Main Street. We look forward to returning to Hackberry Haus on our next visit to Fredricksburg!

Great little house in a quiet part of town!! No surprises from the photos to the actual product!! Best rental I have ever had off the internet!! The rental company did a good job sending me the info I needed in a timely way — not overloading my inbox with a bunch of ads for their services. Thanks for providing a solid product without all the hype. We would definitely return for another visit!! One suggestion: amber lightbulbs do not add character, just bad lighting!! Especially over the bathroom vanity!!

Great little place, short drive to downtown. Hot tub was clean, house was cozy and the backyard area was nice. If staying during the summertime, bring bug spray for the backyard area! Enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The property was perfect for our stay in Fredericksburg. The interior was clean, bright, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The exterior had the charm of the area. The outer walls are made of the Austin Stone that is so prevalent in the surrounding area. Unfortunately it was too hot during our stay to enjoy the backyard

This property was amazing. The cottage was perfect for a girls weekend trip. It was clean and beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again. I thought it was a little bit closer to downtown but it was more blocks than we felt like walking. All in all I would definitely recommend this place!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our first anniversary weekend. We stayed 4 nights and it truly felt like home. From the kitchen area, spacious backyard, hot tub, and comfortable living space… it was all perfect. Easy to connect to wifi. Very close to Main Street. We would definitely recommend!
