About this house rental
The Rockfish Farmhouse is a quaint destination in the Rockfish Valley of Nelson County. The house was built in the early 1900's and we've tried to retain the Farmhouse charm and have completely renovated the entire house. Very close to Wintergreen, wineries, breweries, and US bike route 76, and Skyline drive. This house is on it's own property with super cute calves in the pasture behind the house.

Its the cutest spot to have a girls trip! The house was clean, beautiful and so sweet! We had the best time and love that its right on 151! Near so many great stops!

This house was perfect for our stay. It’s a nice mixture of an early 20th century farmhouse with many modern amenities and flourishes. The hosts have it set-up perfectly with guest comfort in mind, as well as ease of use. The house is exactly as described and shown in the photos; if anything, it’s even nicer than I was expecting. The view of the mountains is beautiful and can be enjoyed from well-built deck or the Adirondacks around the new and clean firepit. The hosts were wonderful. I have zero negative feedback with this rental. Highly, highly recommended!

We loved staying at the Rockfish Farmhouse. It was incredibly clean upon arriving, charming, up-to-date, and comfortable. The kitchen was well-supplied, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable. The yard, especially, the backyard, was great for our three young kids. We enjoyed using the fire pit to make s'mores. The house's driveway is just off a busy road, which did not have any real impact on our stay but is worth noting. Beautiful views of the mountains from the backyard. Easy hiking trails and fun breweries and wineries are just a short drive away. Would highly recommend for families -- we'd certainly return!

We were very impressed with the house! It was very clean, fresh and plenty of room. The views were amazing, we enjoyed the fire pit and communication with Sarah was easy. It was a little far of a drive (30 minutes) from UVA but we took advantage of all the wineries, breweries and hiking in the Afton area that made it worth it! We totally enjoyed our stay!!

Charming, comfortable home that was well appointed and in a wonderful location. Home features, comfortable bedding, toiletries provided, fully stocked kitchen, fire pit and firewood. Beautiful view of the mountains and within a short distance of wineries, breweries and hiking. We were a group of 5 friends having a girls weekend, but all want to come back with our families. Sarah, the host was great communicating with us quickly. Lovely home!

We enjoy our stay at your farm house. There were a lot of small touches that the owners provided and we got to enjoy which made our stay better. The views, the back porch, and the fire pit were amazing. The location was not ideal for us as we couldn’t get lyft/Uber transportation to the wineries that were a bit further away but the positive is that there were many wineries and breweries just a short drive away.

We loved the weekend getaway in Afton. We loved the care that went into the house and we enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. The kids loved being able to see cows in the backyard as well. Would highly recommend this property and would look to book again if in the area.

A group of 8 of us stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Everyone had a comfortable stay, plenty of room for gathering and the backyard was so beautiful! Spring stay
We stayed at this property in the beginning of May! The location is perfect. There are so many wineries and breweries on the same road as this rental. The owners were very easy to communicate with and very friendly! Would definitely stay again

My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The owners thought of every detail to make our stay extremely comfortable and they were always responsive if I had a question. The kitchen was very well stocked. The backyard view was breathtaking and all the cows were enjoyed by our kids. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend for a relaxing family getaway!

The farmhouse was so wonderful. Clean, spacious for the 4 of us, & super cute. The mountain views were amazing and of course the cows were so sweet and fun to watch. The cows added to the farmhouse feel. Location is convenient to shopping and skiing. We will definitely love to stay here again. Quaint Home Perfect Location
This home is just like the pictures show, very cozy & clean and great location if you don't need to be on the top of Wintergreen Mt. We could easily take day trips to Lynchburg, Scottsville and some great wineries & breweries are within a few short miles. The home was perfect for staying in at night to play games and cook. It was too cold to use the fire pit but that would definitely be another bonus to renting this home. It was adequately stocked with the necessities needed and a few extra kitchen condiments. I have already recommended this home to a few of our friends.

This is the cutest little farm house EVER. Check in was super easy and the house was clean, well equipped, and cozy. The owners were super communicative and even had fire wood delivered to use the fire pit out back. Great proximity to all the breweries and fun in Afton and an easy 30 mins to downtown Charlotesville. It was the perfect house for our group and we just loved this little house! 100% recommend.

Lovely home in a beautiful locale
This home more than lived up to its description. The whole house was immaculate. The furnishings and appliances are top quality. The kitchen was very well-equipped. Don’t worry about bringing all the extras like dish soap or paper towels. These were all provided. We had lovely weather so we were able to enjoy the deck and the fire pit. Even the firewood was provided. Communication with the owners was very fast. The house is located very near a number of breweries, wineries, and even a distillery. There are also plenty of hiking trails nearby. Charlottesville is a short 30 minute drive. We were here for a family wedding, but we plan to be back to take advantage of the beautiful home and all that it offers.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the Rockfish Farmhouse. The place was beautiful and clean, and already had all of the basics that we needed. The view from the back yard was gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again!

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The house is lovely and was spotless. Check-in/out were super easy and the hosts are so friendly and easy to reach. We travelled with 2 children under 5 and when the predictable happened (toddler broke a glass, oops!), Sarah and Bryan were so understanding.
