Charming and spacious family size home, The house is sunny with cathedral ceilings and large windows that look out onto Morro Bay. Enjoy several decks throughout the home. Large dining deck has BBQ, 2 large dining tables in an enclosed private yard. Extra large modern, gourmet kitchen, fully equipped. Kitchen is wholly open to dining room with table and chairs, two couches and cable TV. Queen sized beds in master and two other bedrooms. Also bonus bedroom has one twin bed. Library has daybed and trundle bed to sleep 2 more. All beds have comfy mattresses. Master bath has large Jacuzzi tub with separate privacy closet and extra sink. . High speed internet and wifi. Living room has cathedral ceilings, fireplace, ceiling fans, two full size couches and loveseat, cable TV with HBO, and wide span windows with slider onto vista deck. A perfect place for a low key, relaxing experience.

We were pleasantly surprised by the walk ability of the neighborhood and walked every morning to the preserve down the street. The house was perfect for our family - plenty of space for the kids to play and for our family to have conversations together both indoors and on the patio. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary tools. We couldn't have asked for better accomodations!

The property is located in a pretty quiet street close to baywood park. The home has plenty of space for multiple people to stay comfortably. As many other people have said before me the house 100% needs a good deep cleaning. The ceiling fans, air vents, and baseboards were very dirty. The bath tubs all were wiped clean but again had soap scum and grim in the edges. Also the people before us must have had a dog because there was dog hair on the couches. The court yard was nice and i would have loved to use it during the day but the house next door is being remodeled and from 8 am to 5 pm at night all you could hear was loud construction and see workers all over on the roof which was disappointing because that means they could look all the way into the yard. Hard to relax listening to construction work. If you are using this property in the next few weeks be prepared for the noise.

House was spacious and clean. It appeared to be an older house that was expanded and updated; very nice. Great view upstairs, nice outdoor courtyard, close to outdoor recreational areas and eating places. The only issue was the kitchen lacked a few cooking tools, but we made it work. I would rent it again.

Have stayed in this home several times over the years, and have always found it very comfortable and user friendly. Great location, good parking, good, well furnished kitchen, and has laundry available. Owner is always responsive and helpful, when needed. Great for family gathering. Recommend highly.

The pictures and description were accurate. Quiet neighborhood very close to the water and hiking at the ecological reserve. The children enjoyed the jet tub and the upstairs common room with balcony. Overall it was pretty clean, but the floors could use a good cleaning. The kids' bare feet were black within a few hours of arriving and walking around the house. There was also a plate of food left in the microwave, which must have been there for a few weeks as you couldn't see the food through all of the mold. We would definitely come again.

The Los Osos/Morro Bay home was great for a family stay. We really enjoyed all the activities we did in the surrounding area. the home was cozy and comfortable and it fit our family ranging from 6-66 well. Nice that our dog could stay too. Kitchen had what we needed to cook several meals for ourselves. Be aware that the beds are high up (there was a step in the master closet to use)

Our recent stay was one of several in this home, and each time we have found it to be a comfortable home away from home for family gatherings. It is located very conveniently to many coastal attractions. Great view of the bay from the upstairs family room. Parking is good. Great property, and great customer service. The property was clean and well stocked with linen, towels, etc. The members of my family are big towel users, and there were more than enough to satisfy their needs. I'm sure will stay there again.

Have stayed in this rental several times, and found it very comfortable and relaxing. Children friendly. Nice location, and neighborhood. Just had another great stay for our Mom's 100th birthday celebration!

Room Enough for a Large Group
Seven family members chose to have a weekend together at the coast instead of giving each other Christmas gifts. This home was perfect for us, with lots of space. It is located near all of our favorite spots - Montana de Oro Park, Cambria, etc.
The home also has a nice view of Morro Rock and lovely sunsets.
I did not have complaints about the sheets or towels, but the rest of the home was not particularly clean. The carpet is stained and the décor is tired and dated. The outside areas were not prepared for our visit at all, with unswept decks and knee-high weeds growing through the beautiful flowers in the garden.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would suggest more vigorous cleaning prior to arrivals.

Hope Los Osos remains a Delight!
We just returned from spending a very enjoyable and very VERY relaxing weekend in your lovely home. The entire weekend seemed to just go very easily. The rental, and communication was simple and the house was even better than described. I concur with other comments regarding a DVD player, but this wasn't truly missed, after all is said and done. I can't recall when I have enjoyed spending time with my friends more, and a lot of that has to do with the wonderful peaceful feeling of both this home and the city of Los Osos.
The house was wonderful, fully stocked, and very logically situated. We prepared very delicious meals and the upstairs den was thoroughly relaxing. We hope to return soon!

comfortable home and easily accessible
We had a family wedding in Cayucas and used this home as a base to stay at and watch our grandkids while their parents participated in the wedding party. The home was spacious, light and comfortable. The views were wonderful and mornings delightful with a cup of coffee and the early morning bay displayed out the top family room window. Our only critique was the cleanliness. While the home was not dirty it was also not clean. Had it been clean we would have given it 5 stars.

Great rental for a family group
We loved the time we spent at this rental. All the arrangements were easy and all the property details were on a sheet by the front door. Our family of 7 adults and 2 little kids were all able to spread out and find our own space, as well as spending time together dining & relaxing. We prepared about half our meals at the house and found all the kitchen equipment in good shape. Every possible cooking & dining item was there. Here are my only 2 “comments”: there was no DVD player, although there wasn’t one listed on the house inventory. The parents were hoping for a DVD player to entertain the little kids. Seems like it would be an easy piece to add. My other comment is that we didn’t realize it was a 2-story house. For us, this was a great thing. We loved having the 2 separate levels to keep noisy adults away from sleeping kids. Just saying, though, that the stairs (which includes sleeping arrangements for 3 or so) might not work for everyone. Overall, a great rental. We appreciated being away from the Morro Bay/Pismo resort craziness. Los Osos really just feels like a regular neighborhood and it makes you feel like a local - even if just for a few days.

My family enjoyed it's stay. It was our first time in Los Osos and were happy with the proximity to other coastal towns. The house was spacious and did provide privacy. We traveled with children so they enjoyed the space upstairs away from the adults.

The house was comfortful and well equipment with llinens, dishes and plenty of hot water for the big family. The view off of the front deck expanded to see the Morro Rock, which was amazing. The family enjoyed the house and appreciated the comfort of the property.

Lovely Los Osos
Lovely place to stay and relax. It’s easy to get to the beaches (driving), and walk to the bird sanctuary. The two separated living areas were great for those who wanted to play a loud and lively game of cards, and for those who want to quietly read. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

My wife and I were looking for a place where we could enjoy the great outdoors as well as play board games / spend quality time with our four boys. This home was perfect. Lots of space, great cooking area, outdoor bar-b-que,, lots of towels, and on and on. There is a great bay/forest walk about five minutes away on foot. Montana de Oro park has amazing beaches, less than ten minutes away by car. Morrow rock is about ten minutes by car as well. We loved this place, we highly recommend it!

We had such a great week in this very welcoming and spacious home. We were a fair-sized group of six adults and four children (age 5 and under). With both a roomy downstairs and upstairs and the number of bedrooms, we never felt crowded: there were plenty of options for a quiet nook or cranny for some quiet time or a nap. We turned out gourmet meals in the well-stocked kitchen which offered plenty of cabinet room for stashing our food. With outside patio tables and chairs, we easily hosted local friends and relatives (14 to 16) outdoors. This area afforded us some privacy (as well as security for our little ones) as it is fenced in with a gate that leads out to the driveway. However, head out that gate and pick a direction for a variety of walking trails and activities. One of the neighbors saw me leaving for a walk and commented that it was great to hear all the happy sounds of family and kids. Gotta love Los Osos! So much to do. We hit all the main parks for the kids as well as Morro Rock. We would love to return but until then we would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative.

We stayed in this property for a long weekend with 3 kids and 5 adults. The space accommodated us. Having 2 levels was nice and the living room upstairs accommodated the whole group while we watched the Giants game.
There was no shampoo/conditioner or hair dryers. If you plan to do a lot of cooking for a large group - there are plenty of plates, but it's short on serving platters. The BBQ is charcoal and there are no BBQ tools so plan ahead.
Check out the pictures for room layouts. We ended up putting the kids in the trundle bed downstairs - which is really a sitting area and there's no door on it.

The description of this house is spot on. Not only is the house quite spacious, but very charming as well. We spent the Labor Day weekend in Ruth and Laurie's beautiful home and could not have been happier. We were looking for a place by the ocean on the central coast to spend a college roommate reunion, just enjoying the scenery and each other's company. And this house definitely fit the bill.
It was very large, clean, well-maintained, and close to everything we wanted to see while visiting the area. All six of us who were visiting got to sleep in our own beds, and we all enjoyed cooking together in the very large kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked, there were towels galore, and everything we needed to better enjoy our vacation. We also enjoyed lounging upstairs all together, as well as eating our meals on the deck out front since the weather was so beautiful. We had fun exploring the local areas too, and definitely recommend visiting Montana de Oro State Park. Ruth had written out some of her favorite places to go in the area as well, which was a very helpful and nice touch.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Central Coast to stay in this wonderful home. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and could not have been happier.

We had a great time staying at Ruth and Laura's house in Los Osos. We had been looking for a house near the ocean to rent for a college roommate reunion over the Labor Day Weekend, and we could not have been happier with our stay. Ruth even left us a note with her suggestions on where to go in the area, which was a very sweet touch. There were also plenty of brochures and maps of the area in the kitchen as well for any tourists, such as ourselves, to use.
The house was the perfect size, very clean and well-maintained. All six of us each got to stay in our own bed and we were all able to cook at once in the very large, and very well equipped kitchen. Everything we needed was there. Cookware, bath towels, cleaning supplies, it was all there for us. We enjoyed hanging out in the large lounging area upstairs and all were able to be very comfortable in the house. We also enjoyed our meals out on the deck and had a great time exploring the local area. We highly recommend the Montana de Oro State Park for anyone visiting the area, as well as the downtown Cayucos area, just a short drive north.
Overall, I would highly recommend this house for anyone interested in taking a trip to California's Central Coast. We very much enjoyed our stay!
