Sunday to Sunday rental! Swimming, hiking, crabbing, or just relaxing, this house has all these activities and more. Sit on the front porch or relax in the hot tub and watch the pine trees sway. Go for a bike ride along the nature trail on the sound. This home is located Soundside in Corolla Light, winner of the North Carolina Resort Community of the year award for seven consecutive years. This is the only resort on the Outer Banks that offers activities for the whole family and one of the few beaches that provide lifeguards.

Amenities in the resort include 3 oceanfront pools complete with a clubhouse that offers dining; play areas (basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, arcade, and kids playground area); extensive daily organized activities for children; snack hut, 1 soundside pool, several pickleball courts and an Indoor Sports Complex complete that contains indoor clay tennis courts, an olympic size swimming pool with lap lanes to train, racquetball, two full weight rooms, cardio room, walleyball court, and a stocked fishing pond. There is also a trolley that provides free transportation throughout the resort during in season weeks (Memorial Day to Labor Day). All these amenities are included with rental of the house by wearing wristbands provided to a maximum of 10 guests.

This designer-owned house features a brand new kitchen and is just steps away from the Indoor Sports Complex, making it a great year-round rental. Sound access is a two minute walk to the pier (great for crabbing), fishing pond and nature trails. Ocean access is approximately a five minute walk or two minute drive to the beach access. Ride your bike to the Whalehead Club and the Corolla Lighthouse (both open for public tours) or anywhere on the island’s bike paths.

There are three top rated golf courses located on the island. This is a great house for golfing couples any season. Don’t miss the wild horses located within 3 miles on the beach accessible by 4 wheel drive.

We cannot praise our hosts and the house enough! The location is great, the resort sports center is a 5 minute walk away, and the sound-side trail & trolley stop are just outside the door. The MBR and Bath were recently upgraded and look very sharp. The rest of the house is well-cared for, thoughtfully stocked (both in the kitchen and with bikes and kayaks) and beautifully decorated. Communication with the hosts is very easy and they are fast to respond to any concerns. They are genuinely sincere in wanting their guests to feel comfortable. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Our family and our friends from Northern Ireland stayed here for a week and it was the best beach house we have been too! It had everything you needed and Kristen ( the host) answer any questions quickly. The location and the amenities with the Corolla Light Resort perfect to kid 6 kids (5 to 11 years old) busy! We loved the different pools and the ability to grab a trolley to the different locations was so convenient with children. Highly recommend this home for your next vacation!

We love this place! We have stayed at the chuckle hut for 2 family vacations now. We struggle finding somewhere that works for us because my son is wheelchair bound. You will have to go to the 2nd level for bedrooms, so plan accordingly. The 4x4 beach is literally 10 minutes away and another great place for a wheelchair. We always partake in as many of Corolla light’s activities as we can, since they’re fun and the staff is always really nice.

We had our family ranging in age from 83 to 5 and everyone had a grand time. The location of the house is close to both resort sound access, resort sound pool and resort trolly. We loved the nature path and the sound pool. The house was clean and well stocked. The big boys loved the hot tub. The older folks loved the hammock and swing on the porch. We set up a jigsaw puzzle on the smaller dining table. Seven of us fit comfortably at the dining table. The house is well stocked and very organized. When we ran out of fuel for the grill, the new tank was already there in place to finish cooking our meal. Kristen was upbeat and quick to respond. This was a wonderful home for relaxing and making memories.

My family and I LOVED this house. The porch was a complete game changer….we spent so much time out there that we hardly ever wanted to leave the house! The house was clean and well equipped, the hot tub was clean, the trolley pick up is literally in the front yard, there were bikes available to use, the AC worked well, the bedrooms were decorated so nicely, and we loved all the family games that were available to play! You 100% will not be disappointed with this home!

We loved staying at the Chuckle Hut! The house is absolutely gorgeous and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked (better than most!). The wraparound porch is full of places to lounge, including a hammock and lots of Adirondack chairs. The hot tub is a huge plus. The Corolla Light resort is great and features tennis courts, ponds and a sports complex (essentially adjacent to the property). The beautiful beach is a 5-10min walk from the house. The reason for the 4 star "listing accuracy": the owners listed the indoor pool in the sports complex as an amenity. We happened to be looking at the sports complex website several days before our trip and noticed that a month prior, the indoor pool had been closed for renovations (and would be closed for an entire year!). The owners had not communicated this change to us, nor had they altered their listing to reflect that the pool was not available (again, this happened at least one month prior to our stay). When we asked about a discount for this change, we were told they do not discount for "out of season rates". They did offer to let us cancel the stay. As it was only three days before the trip, this was not an option for us. Since our stay, they have altered the listing. This should just serve as a warning that if there is a specific amenity you are excited to use, make sure you check with the owners that it's available. They certainly can't control what is available in the resort, but could have communicated the change.

We had an amazing week in Corolla! The house was perfect for our 2 families of 5 each. The house was clean and well stocked with typical kitchen necessities. The only thing we couldn’t find was pot holders or oven mitts to remove anything hot from the oven. But, it’s possible we just couldn’t find them. The kids loved the hot tub even more than the adults, plus the outdoor shower was perfect for after being at the beach. We loved having the trolley from the resort take us to the resort area where the pools, activities and beach access was! Definitely would stay again if we decide to vacation in OBX again.

We had a great time this week. The house is spacious and comfortably chic for a beach house. It was well equipped with kitchen appliances/items, electronics, huge washer/dryer, and outdoor equipment. We felt as if we knew the owners as we enjoyed the many personal touches throughout their home. The location is amazing in respect to the resort. A trolley stops outside the front door to whisk you to the beach and pools. The Sound and its pool are are a short walk, as is the athletic center with a fabulous indoor pool. Tons of activities for children and adults, if you care to participate! Sunday traffic was horrendous for check in day. This Saturday to Saturday and Sunday to Sunday rental period creates a huge mess of renters (and residents) driving on one two-lane road, with many using suggested neighborhood routes, which makes things worse with merging traffic. Coming home today was a breeze. Phew!

We had two families, one family of four and one family of six. The house accommodated us perfectly. Had plenty to do for the children while the adults relaxed on the stunning porch. Had awesome amenities like a hot tub and outdoor shower. Had all the things in the kitchen we needed, even a stocked seasoning cabinet. The pride of a 2nd home ownership shines throughout. Loved that we were also conveniently inside the resort so we had additional things we could do, free of charge such as multiple pools, playgrounds, basketball/ volleyball courts, and fitness room. Would recommend! You’ll love it!

We came to OBX for a Fall getaway. We LOVED the house and the location. The communication with Kristen was prompt and they were eager to make sure our stay was great. We came across a small issue and they were quick to try to get it resolved. The home was clean and had plenty of seating options on the porch that we enjoyed daily. The hot tub was clean and nice. There were kayaks to enjoy along with any other beach/fishing item you could imagine. We used the fitness center and the staff were great there as well. We'd absolutely LOVE to come back!!!

We had to make a last minute change because of a mechanical issue at the previously reserved VRBO condo, but this home was available. It turned out to be a blessing. This host was very accommodating. And we enjoyed the home very much. It was very close to the wild horse tour we had reserved, and close to the lighthouse and Corolla Park, where you can see glorious sunsets!

This is a beautiful house and had everything we needed. The location was perfect and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. This was our first time to the area and we had the best time and best time visiting with our kids and grandkids. We all agreed this was a house and location that we all want to return too. We did not want to leave. The property owner Kristin was so nice and helpful. She replied so quickly and was so nice to communicate with. Couldn’t ask for anymore from a vacation house or location. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent location on the sound!!!For trail walks / watching sunsets n water sport rentals just a block away!!! Beach was a 5 min drive but the property gave u access to poools on the beach side with volleyball / Bb courts n full size pool , racket ball n tennis on the sound side. Well equipped house with beautiful interiors .. n Kristen was just a text awAy. Only con was that central AC in the bedrooms-level Barely worked :( was impossible to bring the temp upstairs below 75 degrees . The1 wall unit AC in the kids room was all that there was!!!

We stayed here with 4 grandkids. The house was as advertised, it was super clean, very beautifully decorated, and just welcoming as a home. Everyone wanted to move in permanently. The house was great for a family, we had access to the pool, kayaks, hot tub, bicycles, and there were even games in the cabinet. Nice quiet location but close to everything. Short distance away from plenty of restaurants, and great beach access and sound side water access, as well as the lighthouse . We would come back here in a minute. Walking distance to the sports complex, gym, pools, etc. Water pressure was good, beds were all super comfy, kitchen was well stocked with appliances and conveniences, there was even a waffle maker which the kids loved. The porch, outdoor shower, hot tub, foosball table, horse shoes and private tables and spaces to allow everyone separate places to relax. Owners were great with clear instructions and good communications. Cant recommend this listing highly enough. Made this a fantastic family vacation, one that will be remembered !

My wife and I rented the property over the Thanksgiving weekend. We enjoyed the wonderfully designed interior, which was very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. The open floor plant on the first floor, which consists of the living room, dining room, kitchen and another sitting area with a fireplace is spacious and very comfortable. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor are very nicely furnished and all rooms look warm and inviting. The kitchen is well equipped with all kinds of cookware, dishes, and glasses. The house has a large outside covered porch and we enjoyed sitting outside in Adirondack chairs. The house is very close to one of the Corolla trails, which lead to the sound site of the island. We enjoyed walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful sunset. The property has several beautiful Live Oak trees, which give shade and provide privacy. We enjoyed our stay and will come back next year. We can highly recommend the house.

Is "WOW" an emotion? If so, that sums it up. This is a gorgeous home and the only I have ever seen with a true, wrap-around porch. It has a wonderful floor plan and beautiful decor. There are two separate family rooms so it is possible for half the family to watch TV in one room while another group socializes in the second room. That's not counting folks who just can't tear themselves away from the porch with its hammocks, rocking chairs, and furniture groupings! The Currituck Sound is a short 50 yards away and the beach is walkable distance (although we opted to drive and park very close to the beach entrance to minimize stress on a foot injury.) We had great communication with our hostess who passed on some wonderful restaurant suggestions - all within 3 miles of the house. My husband LOVED the icraig speaker. The pool closed the week before we were there but I can see how it would be a welcome option for kids. In fact, the whole little neighborhood affords a nice play haven. We only wish our families could have been with us as this would be a great place to vacation together. We hope to return someday.

Beautifully decorated, well stocked kitchen with pots and pans, outdoor games, peaceful neighborhood, spacious with two living spaces inside and multiple spots on the wrap around porch with hammocks and rockers, close to everything and absolutely hated to leave. I’m very picky about our rentals and always find one or two things that could be better but this amazing home exceeded any house we’ve ever rented.
