About this house rental
Summary:
Slide into the heart of Charleston like you own the place with Casa Zoë, your VIP pass to the city’s thrumming pulse, right where the action is—on the most elite street and on the best block in the Short Term Overlay District. But don’t worry, we keep the buzz at the doorstep; inside, it’s all about serene, chic retreat vibes, with a sprinkle of old Charleston magic and a generous pour of modern flair.
The Space:
Blue Cottage at Casa Zoë – Charleston's freshly revamped slice of heaven on Cannon Street. This isn't just any 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom abode; it's your private sanctuary with a porch and courtyard that may have more charm than a Southern belle at a garden party. And guess what? You won't have to deal with the drama of condo neighbors. It's all yours, top to bottom and so is your bathroom - ensuite because sharing bathrooms is so last year.
Step through the door and be greeted by a renovation that screams chic sophistication. We're talking King mattresses that you'll want to sink into and never leave, furniture so stylish it should be on a runway, and walls graced with Slim Aarons' artwork that'll transport you to a world of vintage glamour. The kitchen? A marble masterpiece where even your morning coffee feels like a luxury.
Nestled in the heart of Downtown Charleston's design district, the Blue Cottage puts you in the VIP section of the city’s culinary scene. You're just a saunter away from establishments dripping with James Beard accolades and local joints like Fuel, Xiao Bao Biscuit, South Bound, and The Ordinary that'll have your taste buds singing praises. And for your sugar fix, Sugar Bakeshop is practically your next-door sweetheart.
Inside, the blend of old-world charm and new-world lux is downright intoxicating. Think hardwood floors with stories to tell, historic fireplaces that are all show and sophistication, and light-flooded rooms that make you feel like the main character in a stylish indie film. Add in a high-def TV, a washer/dryer setup that makes chores look chic, and that outdoor space begging for your attention, and you've got the recipe for an unforgettable stay.
From the dreamy beds to the marble kitchen, every inch of Blue Cottage has been curated for your indulgence. With off-street parking to boot, this isn’t just a place to crash—it’s your personal Charleston retreat, oozing sass and class in equal measure. Welcome home, darling. It's going to be a fabulous stay.

Clean, cozy, excellent location for walking, exploring and dining in Charleston.

We loved the property, it was well appointed and clean. Two things were important to our group. Proximity to the beach, and proximity to the pool area. Both of these things were far from the description we were given. It took repeated requests to get our pool passes, then we find out the pool is not at the property, we needed to get in a car and go on the freeway. This was carefully disguised, and not mentioned in any communication we had. I started my desire clearly, it was glossed over in response. The heat index was 110 the entire time we were there, the pool was an uncomfortable 9 miles away. No outside beverages or food allowed, ridiculous prices for theirs. The well sold assumption of taking a few beverages and sandwiches next door to the pool was a sham. Our guests were rightfully disappointed with this situation, as they had looked over the ad themselves. Whether through careful deception or design, this situation greatly depressed our stay in Charleston. Stevenson and Meg were so gracious when we had car trouble, we can't thank them enough. However, when spending seven or eight thousand dollars on a vacation, trying to verify the exact situation one will be in, knowing the great would be super high, this wasn't acceptable. I hope our hosts will review their ad and it's misdirection. In fairness to others, l can't fail to mention the situation we found ourselves and our guests in.

We loved Casa Zoe, in a great location, near tons of great restaurants and shops but quiet! The cottage was charming and very clean, had everything we needed. Parking very easy and convenient.

This was truly the best VRBO we have stayed at. Beautiful and comfortable. There were 4 adults and plenty of space. Walking distance to everything. Can't wait to go back. Well done!

Great place and location, we loved the outdoor shower!!!

We really enjoyed staying here - it has a very cute set up, is diminutive but all you need for a stay in this interesting city. Only a few teething issues with door locks not working and some minor refurbs that would be easy to fix but otherwise very charming and would definitely stay again. Tucked away as a sort of ‘carriage house’ beside the main house. It is very well located near the restaurant district of Charleston on kings street. We walked everywhere and was in striking distance of two excellent breakfast places (Babas and Holey Bagels). The owners and property managers were very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay. Would throroughly recommend. Look forward to coming back

This little house was perfect for my husband, our teenager and me. Roomy enough, comfy beds, outdoor shower which I always love, good sheets and towels, and walking distance to everything in this part of town. Close by there is a cute bagel store (Holey Bagels) and a great little cafe (Babas) that also serves cocktails and is bustling all day. The property manager was really helpful as well. And re: walking to things- it’s right by King street where there are tons of restaurants and shops, we walked all the way to the city market, Rainbow Row and Pineapple fountain. It’s a great home base. Thanks for having us!!!

We had a great time and would definitely use this place again! We love Charleston and it’s just a short walk to everything downtown. One of the bathrooms is a little on the small side and the toilet made a horrible noise but other than that it was great!! Definitely recommend

Thank you for a wonderful stay in the Blue Cottage. It was perfect for our group of 4. The cottage was close to everything, we could walk to restaurants, shops, sites, etc.. We loved the outdoor shower and the comfy beds. We didn't cook in the house as restaurants were so close and delicious but the kitchen was very well stocked. Perfect little courtyard for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. Great place and would highly recommend.

Great Charleston cottage!
The blue cottage was so cute & perfect for 2 couples! The neighborhood is amazing & full of old Charleston charm, really close to King Street & easy to get wherever you are going. Claire & Steve were really responsive & made sure we had everything we needed. There are a few old house quirks (one of the lights in the bathroom was out, hot water takes a few minutes to heat up) but absolutely nothing that got in the way of a great weekend! The house was really well appointed & the patio was perfect for the spring weather! Checking in & out was super easy as well. Thanks so much Claire & Steve!

Long weekend get away
Great trip! Great place to stay, perfect for two couples. Great location, walking distance to king street. Clean cottage. We even got in early, great communication with property managers. Only negative about our stay was loud college age group of guys staying next door that liked to stay up late into night especially on Thursday night. Otherwise wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Perfect place for our visit.
The little blue cottage was the perfect place for my husband, daughter and I to stay while visiting our other daughter and her family. Two couples could stay there comfortably. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The location is convenient and quiet.

All we expected! Cozy, comfortable, very clean , excellent beds. A quaint little cottage that reflects all that Charleston is all about. So great that the owner has renovated the area surrounding this property. We loved it!

A perfect Charleston escape
The cottage was the perfect home away from home whilst in Charleston, the beautifully restored cottage was the perfect setup for the four of us travelling. The beds were super comfortable, the ensuite bathrooms were great and the courtyard was perfect for a little vino before dinner.

Perfect Stay
Four of us rented the cottage for a long weekend. Very clean, quiet, cool and well appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was just enough, the sitting room was perfect for late night conversations and the outdoor space was a bonus. (I would suggest purchasing bug spray; we did, as the mosquitoes were out at dusk.) The location was perfect: a quick walk to King Street, about a 25 minute walk to the Battery, but a quick Uber to any Charleston destination. We would definitely stay at the cottage again.

Outdoor Space Hard to Utilize but the Rest was Good
We rented this place due to location and offering an outdoor space for us to eat and hang out at, at night. While the location was good and the inside of the place was solid. The outdoor space was heavily populated by flies. We were unable to eat and hangout outside much due to the amount of flies in the space. And with no indoor dining option in the house this took away from the space. I'd recommend this house put some outdoor fans in to help keep the flies out of the area.

Great place to stay, I would defiantly stay there again and recommend.
Over all this is a great place to stay. It was a little smaller than I was expecting but was still enough room for 5 of us and a couple small dogs.. I would defiantly recommend this place. It’s only about 5 or 6 blocks from Kings street from the shops and Restaurants so not a bad walk. Was very clean when we got there and I will say the shower outside was a bonus.. Even has a little deck area to hang out on and the parking was perfect and off the road.. I would defaintly stay here again..

Terrific Charleston Stay
This was an ideal and convenient location for a visit to Charleston. Having off-street parking was a huge bonus. The cottage had everything we needed, and we loved the courtyard/patio and outdoor shower. The beds are comfortable, the A/C works great, and love the little kitchen. Having the place stocked with coffee, shampoo, conditioner, etc. was fantastic!
Would definitely stay again!

Cute cottage in a good location
We spent a long weekend in the cottage and it provided a comfortable and cozy jumping off point for our stay in Charleston. There was a little mixup and our cottage did not get cleaned before we arrived, but once they realized it the cleaners jumped on it quickly and the property manager apologized and gave us a refund to cover drinks/dinner. Overall, a very nice stay and good communication.

Getaway for Couple
Blue Cottage was a great pick for our first trip to Charleston. Great location that was close to restaurants and sight-seeing without being in the noise. The patio was nice to enjoy a drink before heading to dinner each night. Would definitely rent again!

Perfectly located and beautiful decor.
This property is perfectly located for those who want to walk the city but, not be on a high traffic street. So many wonderful restaurants close by and a short Uber to the battery if inclined. The unit is small, but the layout provided the right amount of guest privacy and was perfectly appointed. The outside deck was like another private room and a real bonus. Definitely will rent here again.

Beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city!
We loved staying in this VRBO! It is welcoming and cozy. We felt that it was quiet and private. The location is wonderful.
I started my day every morning with a cup of coffee while sitting on the patio enjoying my book.
We left the sweet blue cottage knowing that this will be a return destination!

Incredible Stay at a Perfect Property
This property was exactly what my wife and I needed. We came here for some outdoor time with our dog and the patio and location of this property was amazing. It was super clean and modern, the patio was very nice and close to all the great restaurants and bars in Charleston. Will hands down stay here again!

Lots to love
Absolutely loved the place and location! The patio was charming and spent the majority of time soaking up the beautiful weather outside. Easy parking and great neighbors. Convenient to King street and lots of food/coffee shops. Would make it my go-to place to stay.

Meg and Scott were wonderful to work with.

Great spot!
The house is adorable and clean. Plenty of space for 2-4 people.
Great neighborhood, a bit of a hike to the market area but so many fabulous dining options within 2-3 blocks. Charleston never disappoints!

Not all surprises are good
I rented this for a getaway with my mom. The steps down from the parking lot had no hand railings, the privacy porch door would not open all if the way to get our bags in and out. Once inside. It was cold and damp feeling and several of the lamps were not working. We opted to leave to stay at another property closer the historic district and easier fir my mom to navigate.

Wonderful Charleston
First class property.
Zero to complain about except that I have nothing to complain about.
