Spent an extended weekend and was fabulous. Very spacious and comfortable. Peaceful and delightful. The kitchen table was perfect larger groups. Would absolutely stay there again.

Our family just finished an amazing stay. The property was clean, well furnished and very roomy. Great location and a perfect home to bring 7 to 11 year olds. We did a ton of sledding in the backyard!
We had over 4 feet of new snow and had such a great trip.
Fal, the owner was really responsive, checked in each day to give us updates on snowplowing, etc.
Overall I would highly recommend this rental.

We stayed here with one other family and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house has beautiful large windows that lets you enjoy the view and the living space fit both our families with space to spare, it exceeded my expectations. The kitchen was well stocked and the downstairs bunk room with the pool table kept the dads occupied. We liked the location which was a close drive to nearby donner ski resort for the kids to learn lessons and markets were also a short drive out of the neighborhood. There is only two full baths which may be an issue for some but it worked for us. The house itself is spacious and the grounds outside as well for kids to run around in. Overall it was a great and memorable stay with the snow coming down and the cozy house. Fal was always quick to answer any questions we had and left instructions throughout the house. Would def look to stay again in the future.

This listing was excellent. The neighborhood was local and the grounds around the home were so beautiful. The house itself had so many great nooks and crannies to hole off in and plenty of social areas to congregate. The owners were excellent at communication and very helpful. Highly recommend this home..

We had a great time relaxing after picking the kids up from camp. Close to Truckee while feeling secluded in the woods. Everything worked great, especially loved the pool table.

Despite initial concerns about poor air quality that weekend and lack of AC, the stay was lovely. Home was spacious and accommodated all six adults with lots of inside activities, high-end rustic decor, relaxing views and quality food prep areas which were important because Donner Lake was socked in with terrible smoke. The owner not particularly sympathetic about our concerns about air quality being in hazardous range and I think an air purifier should be purchased for the property for the future because smoke may become a common occurrence. We did purchase an air purifier as recommended the owner and we were comfortable and no AC necessary.

Perfect getaway home
Our two families spent a much-needed vacation here for a week this summer and found it offered everything we needed: lots of space to relax, a backyard/deck to enjoy the sounds and smells of nature, a very well-equipped kitchen, games for our children to play, and comfortable bedrooms for everyone. The location was fantastic and we loved all the privacy the open backyard offered. We look forward to returning in the winter and enjoying the comforts of this fabulous home with snow outside. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed ski week at this home. There is a lot of space for everyone to spread out, an incredibly functional kitchen and floor plan, and the kids had great fun in the game room. Owners were quickly responsive to any questions.

We highly recommend the Copenhagen Haus. We brought our three sons for a family gathering and were very impressed. The western decor, the floor plan, and presentation were perfect. Very clean with everything here we needed. We will come again this winter.

So nicely situated in the forest with peaceful views
We had a very relaxing experience in the Copenhagen Haus. Beautifully decorated mountain home. Floor plan was perfect to allow some to be downstairs playing pool while we gathered in the living room. Very clean and well maintained home. Highly recommend.

Great Place!
This place is so spacious and fun! It’s the kinda house that makes you feel relaxed and it’s super cozy. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong and air hockey. The view from the large windows is stunning. Great location for skiing Northstar-quick drive. The owners communicate very well and are very organized in expectations and informing you where to find things. We hope to be back!

This property/HAUS is well maintained to its standard, the HAUS is beautiful compared to its picture in the site. You don't have to bring anything, everything you need in a house is here. My Mother and my Grandmother , are having the best time of their life , especially my Grandmother who haven't been in Tahoe.

Excellent Vacation home
We spent several days together at this fantastic home: two families ages 10 to 83. The house is a great getaway, incredibly well furnished, lots of space to spread out; no one felt crowded. Two separate common spaces, near each other but not on top of each other meant some of us could read, others could hang out and play board games by the pellet stove (very warm and inviting), others played pool downstairs. Initially thought that not having a bathroom downstairs would be an issue, but turned out to be fine. Loved the open space between houses that runs along the back of all these properties -- made for excellent snowshoeing, snowball fights, and building of snow people! The owners are super responsive and very accommodating. Can't wait to return!

Fantastic property
Our party included five adults and two children ages 3 and 4. This house hass so many features that make it ideal for a Tahoe getaway - starting with the driveway and garage. If you haven't stayed in Tahoe Donner before be aware of steep driveways that can be challenging and often dangerous when snow conditions are severe. The value of flat driveway cannot be overestimated.
The house is more attractive in person than in the photos which are nice. Very tastefully decorated (zero kitch) and comfortable. Unlike many homes for rent this one is a well provisioned and well cared for by the owners.
The game room downstairs was fun for all - pool, air hockey, ping-pong etc. We particularly liked the fact that the living quarters are all on one floor and only the game room and bunk beds downstairs.
We built a sled run in the backyard that was perfect for the kids saucers. Just the right amount of slope for the little guys.
Owners Fal and Christine Oliver were super responsive to all communications and the property was very well prepared when we arrived. Exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended

Wonderful Vacation Home
We just came back from a perfect long weekend in this wonderful home. There were 4 adults and 5 children in our group, ranging from 6 to 16 years old. The house was spacious for all of us, well maintained, tastefully decorated, and it was equipped with everything we could possible think of. The living room was large, with comfortable furniture and great views. Everybody really enjoyed the chess table set by the picturesque windows and the rec room, with its ping pong and billiard tables. The house is situated in a beautiful place, we truly felt we were in a winter wonderland, with the perfectly framed snowy trees in every one of its large windows. It was easy to prepare meals in the kitchen, and then gather at the long table in the dining room, with enough room for everybody in our large group. The house was a perfect place for us to hang out, relax, and enjoy each other's company after a day of skiing. We will happily stay in this house again!

Girls Weekend
My high school friends of 30 years and I stayed at Copenhagen House this past weekend and I/we will definitely come again!! This house was absolutely beautifully decorated, so much artwork and collectibles to enjoy, comfortable furniture, big kitchen, great view out the large living room window so we could watch the local wildlife, lots of comfy beds, large rooms, fun game room. Thanks Fal and Christine for sharing your home with us! We all loved it!

Home Away from Home!
We chose to stay in this home for a ski getaway with family friends. The home was spacious and well maintained. We enjoyed the large family room that had comfortable couches and a beautiful view of the scenic area. The game area was a hit! The house is nicely divided for social or private time. Wonderful family vacation home!
Our family rented this wonderful home over Christmas week and had the perfect vacation with our son and his family. We were 4 adults and 4 children, including an 18-month toddler, and the house was spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay easy and fun. The house is beautiful in a beautiful setting; it is well-maintained with tasteful furnishings and decor. The rec room was incredibly fun for all, and the chess table was the absolute perfect thing for our family. We prepared meals easily--there were even toddler plates and utensils for our grandson; and the house manager was very helpful putting us in touch with a company to rent a high chair. The jacuzzi was very appreciated after a day of skiing, snowboarding and sledding, and we all were so comfortable, warm and cozy just hanging out. The pellet stove is great. Our granddaughters, who are from out-of-state, kept saying it was "magical!" Everything worked out very well, and we would jump at the chance to rent this house again.

The Copenhagen house was a comfortable, clean and quiet place to stay. We had 4 adults and 3 children with plenty of room left over. The kids loved the bunk beds, air hockey, ping pong and open space. The adults loved the upstairs living room to relax while the kids played down stairs. This house was very clean, very well stocked and in a quiet neighborhood location that was still close to down town Truckee and Donner Lake. We had a wonderful long weekend in this home.

Great place for two families!
We spent Christmas week in this delightful house and it was truly great. The pictures are spot-on -- it really does look and feel as warm and welcoming and spacious as you would expect from the photos. The owners have great taste in furniture and decorations and were very friendly. It does not seem like a rental so you will want to take extra good care of it. We were lucky to have some snow on the ground, which made it feel very Christmas-y. The location at Tahoe Donner is quiet, far from the freeway, but not so far that it's a long drive to the slopes. You have equal access to all the resorts, Alpine, Squaw, Sugar Bowl, Northstar, and of course Tahoe Donner (when there's enough snow!). You're also close to Truckee for shopping and we found quite a nice restaurant overlooking the Tahoe Donner golf course. The master bedroom is very comfortable, as are the other two bedrooms, and the game room is a real selling point. It has a very nice pool table, ping pong table, and tasteful bunk beds for 4 (best for kids or teenagers). The pellet stoves take a little practice and are key to keeping the place warm, but add a nice cozy and eco-friendly touch. You can park one car in the garage and others in the perfectly flat driveway. It's really an ideal place for a family reunion or two families with children. We would love to go back!

Our Favorite Cabin
We have been renting cabins in Tahoe for over 15 years and the Copenhagen House is our new favorite! Often the photos make a home look bigger or more hospitable. But in this case, the pictures didn't capture the warmth, spaciousness and expansive surroundings. The layout is perfect for two families. And the game room downstairs became our new babysitter! I look forward to renting this cabin for years to come!

Another Wonderful Stay!
This is an amazing home that we not only love but it has become our favorite place to stay when we ski in Tahoe. We have now stayed three times and it is becoming a part of our family tradition for the holidays. Despite a lack of snow over New Year's we simply loved being able to relax and be together as a family in Christine and Fal's comfortable home. The Copenhagen Haus is spacious, wonderfully decorated and maintained and feels very luxurious! It has everything you would need for a fun family vacation, has a great location, and the owners are wonderful to deal with.
