Our family of four (fur babies included) loved our stay. Hearing the loons everyday was amazing! And being literally steps from the beach was beyond convenient with little ones. The house was super clean and comfortable, and we never needed A/C with the windows open.
The location was amazing as we were minutes to downtown Ellsworth, and less than an hour to Acadia National Park.
Would very much come back.

Our stay on Green Lake was just lovely! The cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway and the lake access, views, and sunsets were unbeatable!! The accommodations were perfect, the location was super private, the lake was gorgeous, and the hosts were informative and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property! :)

There is nothing to say about this property other than book it! We had our 2 dogs with us and being the last property on a dead end dirt road was ideal for privacy and safety. The lake was amazing! The beach is a mix of sand and small pebbles and water shoes kept my feet comfy. I spent hours sitting in an Adirondack chair reading or floating in the cove soaking up the sun. The water was the perfect temperature! My favorite thing was screen porch at night. What a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy the evening air with no bugs!
We already have plans to go back next summer.

We had a great vacation at Greenview. The location was great, the lake was beautiful and clean, perfect to swim in. We loved the fire pit, but definitely bring lots of bug spray! Cabin was cozy, we enjoyed the screened porch and table for us all to gather. The mattresses were comfortable. There definitely was a lot of moisture in the cabin, causing some discomfort but there is a dehumidifier in the hall that helps. Overall we had a great stay, the views were stunning, it was a great way to enjoy Maine.

My family and I had a great time at Greenview. The beach was wonderful, we spent lots of time on the screened-in porch, and the location was quiet but still convenient to everything we needed.

This is a beautiful cabin, with gorgeous views. It's close to lots of things to do, while also being tucked away and secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for!

The place was very clean and as advertised. Gorgeous views of the lake, firepit, boats and kayaks set up for enjoyment. We went during off-season so didn't utilize all the great outdoors amenities. Thought it was a bit odd to not have any linens whatsoever in this day and age with a laundromat a 10 minute drive away... Keep that in mind before you book.

My husband and I loved our stay at Greenview. We spent a week and enjoyed every minute. The cottage is adorable and the owners have made it even more comfortable with homey decorating touches. The flooring is new and the bathroom looks newly redone also. The Greenview beach and the lake are just over the top beautiful! It is private and serene. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are quite comfortable. The fire pit is well made and we had a fire every night. The screened porch is large and just so very comfortably furnished with a full view of the lake. We did not have a single complaint. It is a gem. The lake is beautiful, the home is comfy, cozy, and the owners were just very nice people that made sure we enjoyed our stay. We plan on returning same time next year to enjoy the home, lake, kayaking, and the beautiful area around Ellsworth!

We loved the location, the privacy, the beach and especially the communication with the owners.
A neighbor's dogs wandered over and Alison was right on it. I contacted her for restaurant locations, hiking trails and even where to see the best view of the Blue Moon. She responded immediately. Excellent.

The beach and lake were beautiful, the house was very clean and well appointed, and my family had a great time. One highlight was the large screened in porch for hanging out, eating meals, drinking coffee, and listening to the loons. Can't wait to go back!

This property is an absolute dream! The private water access and kayaks made for a great morning outings on the peaceful lake. Many hours were spent on the porch drinking coffee, reading, and taking in the incredible sunsets nightly. The lake is clean and clear and a great way too cool off in the heat of the afternoon before an evening fire. Truly amazing secluded location, with quick access to necessities as well as Acadia & Bar Harbor.

The view of the lake from both the cabin and the beach was the best part of our recent trip. The sunsets were spectacular and it was so quiet and peaceful. We were able to see loons on the lake (once just beyond the little cove at the beach) and hear their calls at night. Our teen sons enjoyed kayaking with the provided kayaks. The cabin is well-maintained and we found it to be very clean.
The location was great for whichever part of Acadia NP we chose to explore that day and it was easy to grab takeout in Ellsworth on our way back to the cabin. Allison was a great host. She proactively provided lots of great info about the cabin and surrounding area as well as answering my questions promptly.

We came with our dog over Memorial Day weekend and had a great stay. We wanted to relax away from the noise of the city but also be close enough to Bar Harbor. The cabin has everything you need. I could have stayed on the porch all the day! The sunsets were great too. Thank you for having us!

We had a great time and so did our 2 pups. We loved exploring the rocks on the water, and taking the kayak/canoe out on the lake. The lake is huge and super clear. Since it was late October no one else was really around, which was nice for us and the pups. In warmer weather, I'm sure the closed in porch is lovely. It was too chilly for us to sit out there. But we still got a nice view of the lake from inside the cabin. It is very cozy! So if you're looking for a roomy place, this isn't it. It worked perfectly for us - 2 adults and 2 dogs. But even though there are 2 bedrooms, it would have been a tight fit if there was another couple. Although in the summer, this probably isn't an issue because you'll be outside more. We also took a few day trips to Acadia National park which was about a 45-60 minute drive from the cabin. We also explored the trails at the fishery which is in walking distance from the cabin.

This is an absolute treasure. It is all it is described to be and more. We felt like we were in a friend’s house for the week. It is well stocked with everything we needed (we did bring our own linens). The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are amazing. The only thing that could have made it better would be a motor for the boat. We will definitely return!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful cottage and it was as perfect as we remembered! It is definitely our favorite spot to stay in Maine. Nothing can compare to the gorgeous views and falling asleep to the sound of loons. Another year of wonderful memories at this home and we hope to return again.

The location is nice and secluded but not so secluded no one would be around in case of trouble. You don't get the sunrise but you get the sun set's. The lake is nice and not to active yet you can see and here others along the edge enjoying themselves, not loud by any means though. Everything you need is there while being set up so the clean up is quick and your get a way is fast.

Perfect summer spot
We loved everything about this property. Our dog was able to safely run and swim. My 4 year old grandson was able to swim and play and loved the kayaks. We loved the sun porch and the sunsets! Beds were super comfortable. We will absolutely be back but longer next time!!!

Beautiful setting !
Beautiful setting. We noticed a row boat in the pictures. My husband likes to fish and was counting on using the boat but discovered the plug was gone and on further inspection discovered it was chained to a tree, unusable ! Would be good to include a picture of bathroom. No walk in shower and no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. The outdoor area were great !! Easy trip to town and the charming Otis General store !

A hidden gem
A quiet retreat at the end of the road with all the amenities needed. This has a beautiful view of the sunset and surrounding mountains. Just a 10 minute drive to Ellsworth. I wish I had more time to stay longer.

Beautiful spot!
Beautiful spot! So nice you can just walk out the cabin down to your private lake beach front! We enjoyed using the canoe and kayaks to explore the lake! Really nice you can walk out the cabin and walk your dog up the access road and you don’t see a soul. Loved the sound of the loons at night!

Gem of a location
Let me preface this review with the fact that the cottage is lovely. The location is the true gem, completely private-you cannot see any of the neighbors on either side. The road down to the house is quite interesting, its almost like a discontinued road in which you feel like you've taken a wrong turn, but trust the fact that you have not and you are headed to beautiful seclusion. The beach is a nice plus, but bring your water shoes if you want to go swimming as it is quite pebbly for tender feet. The home was adequately clean, but with a bit of dust and cobweb type of issues, not uncommon for a Maine camp, but it was clean where it counted (kitchen, bathrooms, etc). The mattresses are begging to be critiqued, I hope the owner considers getting new ones soon. The ones there are terrible and old/sagging. The beds are not actually king, they are two twins pushed together if that matters to anyone when selecting sheets to bring. All those nitpicky things are easily overlooked by the beautiful location, gorgeous sunsets, quiet lakefront with very little boat traffic. The owner was responsive to questions we had. Its worth noting that the pictures on the listing are a bit outdated it seems as there is no longer a hammock in the yard, so bring your own comfy chairs to lounge around if that is important to you. We would definitely stay again. Many thanks to the owner for having a great pet-friendly rental.
