Beautiful home, hosts and location!

The location was perfect, across the road from the beach. There was a 4 square convenience store right next door and the main town mins walking distance away. Beautiful outdoor patio and private access. The house is very big, your room was on it's own wing of the house, so although the owners lived there, you never heard them. Breakfast was EVERYTHING. Hot and cold food, you would spend $30+ per person at a cafe for the food they prepared for you, not to mention a beautiful view of the water whilst you eat. The room was so clean, tidy, and had everything you needed (and some). The hosts were great, extremely accommodating. You only ever saw them during breakfast time and were happy to give you all the space you wanted, and if you wanted a chat, you only had to walk upstairs. They have a double garage and allowed us to park inside with access straight in the house. Would highly recommend staying here and will absolutely be back.

It was somebody's house, which is something we're not use to (probably my fault for not reading the description properly) however, everything exceeded our expections so it's definitely not worth losing any ratings over.

Fabulous B&B, a must if visiting Whitianga

Our hosts were amazing people, and we felt like we were part of their family. We are already missing the delicious breakfasts Heather and Don served up each day, better than any hotel. The location was great, an easy walk to restaurants, the wharf and shops, and with a fabulous view of Mercury Bay.

Can't really write anything here. Everything was fabulous.

Perfect!

The hosts / owners of the property were awesome and such a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome and at home. Beautifully appointed room and meticulous attention to detail. Breakfast was as good as any 5* hotel. The property is perfectly located for a stay in Whitianga with great ocean views.

A very restful 'home away from home' experience in an idyllic location.

We were very impressed with everything about our stay. Our hosts, Heather and Don, were wonderfully hospitable, striking a perfect balance of friendliness and helpfulness. My wife requires gluten-free food, and this was catered for brilliantly. The decor was fresh and modern, and the little extras provided in the room were deeply appreciated. The breakfasts were better than anything we had at any hotel during our trip, and the location near the beach and town was perfect.

There was nothing 'not to like'. We are struggling to think of suggestions for improvement but we can't think of any.

Fabulous

The hosts are wonderful and they want to make your stay as good as it can be. They can offer you advice on sight seeing, activities nearby and food nearby. They make a wonderful brekky and put many extra touches into the bedroom. They respect your privacy but are also up for a good chat and are lovely people. We definitely recommend!

Terrific stay with lovely hosts

Heather and Don are top notch hosts. We felt welcome from the start and were impressed by how well built & equipped the room was. Breakfast was so good I suspected a chef was in the kitchen, but it was Heather & Don taking care of us :) 10 out if 10!

Beyond expectations! The hosts really do go above and beyond to look after you :)

Breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Fresh fruits and yoghurt followed by a beautifully presented omelette. Heather and Don really do go above and beyond. They even had a wine chilling in the fridge when we arrived, ensured we had plenty of cold water for our walk and heated up some delicious sausage rolls to go with our platter dinner. Location was right by the beach and right next to the shops. Beautifully clean B&B with a very comfortable bed.

This was a 6 star stay and experience!

it was beautiful in every way. we were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Heather and Don made it even more special than we had expected. The breakfast was outstanding and better than a 5 star hotel …. we were thrilled with our stay! Thank you both very much!

Comfortable , Stunning & Would recommend.

The hosts were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us. The house is gorgeous and situated in the perfect location. Walking distance from everything. We have never stayed somewhere that the hosts also live but it was an incredible experience, it was still super private and they made us feel so comfortable. The breakfast they put on was incredible aswell. If you’re looking for accomodation this is your sign to book Waters Edge B&B.

There was NOTHING to dislike except the fact we had to leave.

Super stylish BnB in Whitianga

Loved the delicious breakfast each morning served by our friendly hosts. Gorgeous accommodation with modern, elegant decor. Beautiful location across the road from the beach and a 5 min walk to wharf.

This property is a ten out of ten

The property is modern and immaculate. The breakfast provided was plentiful and delicious. The view was stunning and the hosts are the nicest people ever, so easy to get along with and nothing is too much trouble. The property is within walking distance to everything.

Above and Beyond

Outstanding stay. Heather and Don were so welcoming and never intrusive. Their home is gorgeous in artistic style in absolutely every way, as is Heather, who is the naturally cool chick behind the design. Staying there felt like an extravagance, and we look so forward to coming back. The breakfast was simply stunning. I wish I had taken better photos of the breakfast and the view while eating it. When you stay here you can feel the attention to detail, in spectacular fashion without pretense. Very genuinely, they have opened their home and offer you a delightful romantic getaway in indulgence.

WOW what an amazing place to stay, spotlessly clean and Heather and Don the hosts were so nice, and made a great team together, making us feel really welcome. The room and bathroom were lovely, with heaps of room, and a beautiful raindrop shower. breakfast each morning was to die for, so much so we had to take our lovely pastries with us we were so full. Highly recommended
