About this house rental

Darling little cabin right on the Feather River. The back yard is bordered by a deep, wide portion of the river. The back deck features stunning views of the river with nothing but national forest on the opposite bank. Wake up in the morning and enjoy your coffee while watching the geese and myriad ducks on the river. The local Bald Eagle may fly by and occasionally otters and beavers appear. Private, yet right down the road from Plumas golf course in a quaint little neighborhood of old-school cabins. This family cabin has been lovingly decorated with the owner's personal antiques, rugs and art, collected during years of living in Europe and the Middle East. The living and dining area maximizes living space, with a sliding patio door and 8 foot window looking out at the river and forest. The open kitchen has everything you need for cooking: high quality pots and pans, as well as pantry essentials like coffee, flour, sugar, canned goods, etc. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sitting area and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. The guest bath has a shower and new washer and dryer. The backyard is fenced with fully furnished deck space. One garage space available with Type 2 EV charger for your electric car and ample driveway parking. Children and dogs accompanied by well-behaved adults who clean up after them are welcome.

This property is such a great little getaway spot. It’s right on the river and just beyond the 4th green of the adjacent golf course. The house had all the kitchen amenities we needed and was all in all the perfect cozy spot for our extended weekend getaway.

We enjoyed everything! Comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen, nice fireplace and great location. Watching the geese in front of a warm crackling fire with a cup of hot chocolate was just what we needed. Our dogs enjoyed the fully fenced yard and the view across the feather river is lovely. Many activities to enjoy in this area. We look forward forward to returning in the future.

We and our 2 dogs absolutely loved our stay at this cabin on the river. When we arrived about 5:15p, before even figuring out how to get into the house, we walked inthe back yard with our bags, looked out at the river and realized a family of 5 river otters were playing just opposite the house...we hurridly got our binoculars out and were rivited to the otters. What a welcome!! We loved everything about about the cabin - just our kind of place...everything thing you need, comfortable, tasteful and felt like home. Thank you - we'll be back!!! Mickie

Lovely house in the Feather River, very comfortable & well stocked. Fully fenced yard was perfect for the dogs. Safe forested neighborhood was excellent for walking. And big bonus were several wonderful restaurants close by.

We have stayed in numerous VRBO‘s over the years and this particular one has catapulted to the top of the favorites list. The house itself is cozy, adorable, and stocked with absolutely everything anyone could need, spotlessly clean, and oh-so comfy. And that’s just the start. The location could not have fit our needs and desires more. The Feather River flowing by, with geese landing in front of the (fenced so considerately for our four-legged family members) backyard and occasional sitings of a family of cavorting otters, just made for a tranquil and perfect place for a repose. Mere minutes from a tree lined golf course with, oh – so – friendly members, and a spectacular professional of a golf pro, rounded out a perfect vacation venue for us. We can’t wait to return next year!

We look so forward to returning to this property every year. The location is spectacular right on the Feather River across from beautiful, wooded open space. The deck is large and is well set up to enjoy viewing the otters swim by regularly and the Canadian Geese and lots of other birds. The kitchen is extremely well supplied including just about every electric appliance and pots and pans you could need as well as many food items including coffee. Cheryl is an amazing host. She is extremely responsive and easy to work with. We will look forward to our next visit.

Great choice of rentals. Quiet, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Loved the deck overlooking the river. Bird feeders a real plus for us and photo ops. Would high,y recommend.

We just love this place - watching the birds on the river - so fun. We only over go in the winter since the place is so popular in the summer. I would be a little concerned going with small children, as you'd have to be an eagle with them because of the river's proximity.

Such a lovely spot. We had the best time. There was so much to do and so many lakes to visit. The river was just outside the fence. We were lucky to see the river otters twice. Everything about this property is top notch. We come back every year and love it more and more every time we stay here. We were greeted our first evening by Canadian geese flyover and a Beaver and several otters swimming by. We are already booked for 10/23!

This stay was our second and we all enjoyed the cabin amenities and comforts very much. Morning coffee on the deck as we watched flocks of migrating geese gracefully fly in and land was divine. Blue jays at the deck feeders and a Great Blue Heron who frequented a roost across the river in a tall tree, plus the beavers playing in the river made this stay a natural delight.

The property was perfect for the two of us but could easily accommodate four. My wife was surprised with the way the kitchen was so well appointed. It had everything we could possibly need for our stay. We had a river show that included river otters, beaver, bald eagle, eagle-hawk, geese, and ducks. We are looking forward to visiting again next spring.

The home was well stocked with all the amenities one could ask for & the view was nice on the back patio. We couldn't swim in the river out back. We went at the end of August & water in the river was low, sheer drop down to the water, stagnant, & beavers in the water (not friendly). There were friendly bats dive bombing us on the back patio coming from their nest in the attic. We drove to mill pond a short distance to a nice swimming hole & the neighborhood & town was nice to visit. Overall it was a peaceful, relaxing experience.

We didn’t turn on the tv. We sat and watched the nature show outside through the huge windows. The tiny chickaree was the king of the feeder as he chased the jays, juncos, gray squirrels, and even the northern flicker away as soon as they tried to eat from it. We also enjoyed snowshoeing, tasting the local beers, and the longboard races at Plumas Eureka State Park. Summer or winter, Graeagle is a perfect getaway.

I absolutely loved this cabin in the woods. The view to the river was spectacular and my dog absolutely loved the fenced yard. The place was spotless and had everything I needed. The bed was so comfy, that I got some of the best sleep I have had in a while. It was isolated enough for peace and quiet, but had neighbors on either side far enough away, yet close enough for some security. The neighborhood was charming and beautiful. I am definitely coming again.
