The Firs Garden Apartment forms the lower ground floor of a beautiful, Victorian, detached villa. It is self-contained with its own entrance and parking. The apartment's large, private garden sets it back from the main road. The apartment is tastefully decorated to a high standard and comprises an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, a separate bedroom and a shower room. Situated in Ilkley, within walking distance of the town centre and railway station, it is an ideal location for either a town-centred break or for those wishing to explore the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. We had a wonderful stay at the Firs, it was perfect for the two of us. The warm welcome and explanation of the apartment was amazing and the cleanliness and amazingly comfortable bed were perfect after a long flight. Although our visit was mostly consumed visiting new grand children we were pleased by the short proximity to Ilkley restaurants and pubs and all the hiking and biking we didn't partake in but would be ideal for other guests. We'll be back!

Really beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Easy walk down to the river or up to the moor. We arrived by train and had no trouble walking from the station.
Apartment was well equipped and the host was lovely, came to welcome us when we arrived as well as leaving a welcome basket for us and for the dog. All the small details were taken care of. Couldn't ask for more!

On arrival Judith was there to meet us and made us feel right at home, absolutely lovely place to stay and 10 minutes was to the shops and a lovely river walk, we also drove to the moors which is 10 minutes from the property by car ourselves and the dogs loved it we will most definitely be back.

Lovely, cosy apartment which is close to the centre of Ilkley and all its amenities. Many walks over the moor direct from the door, we didn’t use our car once during our stay! The apartment had everything we needed and our host was super-helpful with local suggestions. Lots of dog-friendly shops, bars and restaurants (try Brooks - fab food) in town made this a perfect stay.

Perfect stay in Ilkley
This property was perfect for our needs- visiting family in Ilkley and exploring the beautiful area. We have stayed here twice in the last few weeks and have already booked again for July.
The apartment was well laid out and equipped with ample living area looking out onto the outside sitting area and lawn. The apartment Is very private with it’s own entrance and parking space but Judith, the host was available if we had any queries.
It was well decorated and comfortable. The cake and tea tray on arrival was very welcome.
The apartment is minutes walking distance to the centre of Ilkley and all it’s lovely shops and coffee shops.
We’re looking forward to our next stay already!

Wonderful Apartment
We had a lovely stay in this wonderful apartment. So clean and comfortable with everything you need, and do nice to have the garden area to enjoy. Great location for getting out and about and only a short walk into Ilkley. Judith was very helpful and left some lovely brownies for us on arrival along, with an assortment of teas and coffee, and milk and water in the fridge. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again.

Pleasant property in the converted basement of a large house. The apartment is lovingly tended by Judith, there was cake & fresh flowers waiting for us on arrival and everything you could need was provided. Judith is a very considerate host & we had a great week.

This apartment is a great palace to stay and every detail has been addressed to give a very comfortable stay. We stayed in October and the apartment was lovely and warm. It is just a few minutes walk to the centre of Ilkley, where they are plenty of pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

Lovely week in Ilkley
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It is ideal for two. Great location. Ilkley is a charming town, and lots of places can easily be reached for day trips.
We were made very welcome and there were some very nice touches, such as a homemade banana cake and some flowers. Everything was beautifully clean, which is so important just now.
I hope very much that we will be able to return when more places are open again.

A lot smaller than anticipated,especially with two large dogs.Only really suitable for couple.Perfect location for walks into Ilkley and beyond.Lovely town with plenty to do,lots of great cafes and restaurants/pubs.

Ilkley get away
Judith who owns this property is extremely hospitable, friendly and can help with any enquires in which you may have. She helps you feel settled as soon as you arrive. If you have a fury friend she even supplies a food bowl and bed for them making you feel like you are in a home away from home.
The property is located in an excellent area if you like explore, visit into ilkley town or even just go walking with your companion.
There are lots to do whilst you stay there.
The apartment itself is kept in immaculate condition and she takes pride in how it is presented.
I would highly recommend if you would like a get away. It is definitely worth going back to at a later date.

Fabulous Apartment
The apartment is in a lovely location within walking distance of Ilkley town centre. It has been dressed and equipped to a high standard and is very worthy of its certificate of excellence award. The fresh flowers and home made brownies were a nice treat on arrival. We were blessed with good weather during our stay so were able to enjoy our breakfasts on the private patio area outside.
Sadly we had to notify Judith that our precious old whippet boy had Died the week before our planned mini break and she was so kind and thoughtful both before and during our stay.
Thank you again Judith for sharing your lovely apartment. We hope it won’t be long before we return.

What a great find! A lovely garden apartment a few minutes walk from the centre of town. So many lovely walks from the door onto the moors or along the river. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped. Thanks to Judith for lovely cake.

Lovely property for a weekend away!
Myself and my boyfriend came to stay for a weekend for his birthday. The apartment is lovely and cosy, we have no complaints whatsoever. We used the kitchen to cook and there’s plenty of space, it doesn’t feel at all cramped. It’s in a great location close to the centre of Ilkley and close to nice places to walk. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Judith because we were out most of the day on Saturday but she was always available to contact and we would love to stay again in the future! Honestly can’t recommend this apartment enough!
