An excellent place to stay

Very good quality of furnishings towels and supplies for breakfast enabling us to chose what and when we ate. Probably one of the nicest places we have stayed.

There was nothing that we did not like. It would be good to have some cups to fit the coffee machine rather than using the mugs.

A delightful clean and comfortable bed and breakfast annexe.

An excellent cosy annexe that provides a spacious B&B with facilities for cooking all meals if you wish. An excellent continental breakfast is provided. Locati8on is a pleasant village with easy access to Chichester and South Downs.

Main problem would be for anyone wishing to stay for a week or so and wanting to cook meals rather than go out, Full hob is provided and a micro-wave that acts also as small conventional oven and grill. There is no dining table so you are eating informally. If these limitations don't worry you then you should enjoy everything!

Great place with good service!

Breakfast was a good one, DIY style in own kitchenette. As we were visiting Goodwood FoS, the location was an excellent one. We got good instructions for finding a great dinner place (the Anchor Bleu) as well as late night service for extra linen for making one extra bed to living room's extendable sofa.

A Great place to stay for whatever reason. This apartment is outstanding.

The apartment was first class. We arrived and the keys were in the lock box exactly as promised. The apartment had everything you could wish for. The host, Claire, had though of everything. The lounge was very comfortable and warm with a good size television the bedroom was well laid out with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The bathroom was perfect, even the towels and toiletries were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of tea and coffee, both instant and ground coffee. Breakfast was included in the price and again we were not in any way disappointed. There was cereal, toast, croissant, jams, marmalade, yoghurts, fruit juice and milk. There was even some pistachio nuts and a jar of quality street chocolates. If you find your-self in the area I cannot recommend the this apartment enough. It is a great place to stay, its well worth the money and the location is perfect. On the booking form I even asked for good weather and Claire was able to arrange that as well.

There is nothing I can mention that is in anyway negative, both my wife and I could not fault it any way, shape or form.

My stay at the hen house

Excellent location to visit a variety of different areas. Really lovely accomadation, spotlessly clean. Really quiet at night and easy to recommend.

Great location for visiting Chichester and the surrounding area. Nice pubs nearby

Good location. There was somewhere to keep our bicycles. The hosts recommended some nice pubs and places to eat nearby.

There was not much to dislike. However, the bed could have been a little better. We tended to sink into the middle of the mattress when sleeping.

Property really cosy and decor was lovely very beautifully done ( no chickens 😁). Quiet location and wanted for nothing . Breakfast basket was tasty .

A really lovely place to stay and in a super area.

Breakfast/catering provision was excellent and the additional extras were very welcome. The location was very good being close to a good restaurant-pub and the Hen House was very quiet.

We didn't dislike anything.

Perfect stay near Chichester.

The Hen House was perfect. Claire was so helpful, she welcomed us and gave us a great recommendation for good food nearby. The breakfast options were lovely. Everything of a fabulous standard. I would recommend the Hen House without reserve.

A perfect weekend get away

This is our 2nd visit to The Hen House so we knew what to expect, it's a delightful, cosy, comfortable 1 bed property well located to explore the area, I'd highly recommend the property. You are totally separate from the hosts, but they are available if need be. There is a small garden area with ample seating and a table and chairs (sadly the weather wasn't good enough to sit outside this weekend. TV and DVD player. Help yourself breakfast is provided, fresh bread, eggs, porridge, muesli, yogurt, marmalade, jam, milk, oj, croissants, tea coffee ... what's not to like :)

Perfect quiet weekend break for two.

Very well equipped, nicely designed rooms with a small private garden to sit in as well. Well stocked fridge on arrival for breakfast choices and beverages.

Great 3 night stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back.

Lovely, comfy little property which was beautifully clean and tidy. Continental breakfast and eggs provided was great, and lovely little extra touches, such as Ordnance Survey maps of the area, etc.

A really pleasant stay

An attractive and comfortable property, nicely self contained and in a quiet location. We felt perfectly COVID safe. Claire provides all the ingredients you could need for breakfast. We self catered all four nights we were there and appreciated a well appointed kitchenette. There’s a pretty little garden that we didn’t use because of the time of year, but which adds to the sense of privacy.

This is not a complaint, however the kitchenette is small. It is very well designed given the space constraints and has everything you could need, but the combined microwave and oven posed a slight logistical problem, and we did seem to end up water everywhere when we did the washing up. In normal times (non COVID-19) we would eat out most nights and this probably wouldn’t have been an issue.
