Amazing Views--Perfect Vacation Spot! Hello vacationers! No need to look any further. You've found the perfect vacation spot. If you are searching for a beautiful, well-furnished condominium with gorgeous views of sugar white sand and emerald waters, you have found the right place. Located on the island connecting Destin to Ft. Walton, the Destin West Resort is in walking distance of gulf front restaurants, The Emerald Coast Convention Center, The Gulfarium and The Fishing Pier. Free Beach Service (2 chairs and an umbrella set-up for you from March 1 until Oct 31 ) is included with your stay.

Our lovely condo is on the 5th floor (#502) of 6-story building directly on the Gulf of Mexico; 1 of only 10 Gulf-front units available at the Destin West Complex. It is beautifully decorated in a 'Pottery Barn-Beachy-Comfy' type feel. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need to feel like you are home, including a Cuisinart Coffee and K-cup maker combo. All 4 rooms have Flat Screen TVs. The Living Room has a 55" Flat Screen TV. The Master, Guest, & Bunk area also have a Flat Screen TV. We also have added a sleeper sofa for any extra guests you might have. The Master and Guest have a new (Dec. 2020) Memory Foam mattresses.
Our wrap-around porch has sweeping views of the ocean, fishing pier, sunset, and pool area. On our wrap-around porch, we have a round table with 4 chairs so you can eat outside in the warm Florida sunshine and listen to the ocean waves. We also have a lounge chair for sunbathing and relaxing.
We have Wifi in the condo for your convenience as well as a Pak-n-Play in case you have a little one.
Being a part of a resort like Destin West means having access to more fun. The waves and sand of the Gulf of Mexico, the large pool, hot tub, kiddy pool, and a second heated swimming pool are yours to enjoy on the Gulfside of the complex. Located on the Bayside of the complex is a 700-foot Lazy River Pool to float in (tubes provided by the Resort), featuring zero entry access for the little ones. There is also a heated pool with waterfall and two hot tubs. You are surrounded by fun.

Cannot say enough about this heavenly beach condo! It was a vacation experience all it's own...my hubby had to remind me there were several things to do OUTSIDE the condo, LOL!! The wrap around balcony...the beach & ocean view...the decor...all the comforts of home (and then some) . Shelley had communicated so well beforehand that I didn't once have to send her a text or call while we were on vacation. She included a list of her favorite places to eat and things to do in the area, which was helpful! Overall this was a five star vacation and we would love to stay again! I think I got brownie points with the hubby...he loved that we could sit on the balcony and see multiple fighter jets fly by...I told him I ordered those for his birthday!!

We enjoyed our stay here, this was our first time staying GULFSIDE we had stayed bayside in the past. We enjoyed the easy access to the the beach. The only downside we had was a lot of renovations occurring in the unit below us. (especially early in the morning) … but other than that our trip was great. Would like to stay again sometime

We had a wonderful time. There was so much to do between being on the beach, swimming in the pools or walking down to the pier, boardwalk and checking out the aquarium. It was so nice to be so close to everything and still have the privacy of a private beach. The views were breathtaking, the sand at the beach was so white and soft. The pool areas were nice and even had a lazy river. Shelley was amazing to work with and always quick to respond… we will definitely be back!

All-star accommodations
We came to Ft. Walton to watch our granddaughter play softball. But off the field we were treated to an all star condo so close to the beach the only thing missing on the balcony was the sand. Soothe yourself with the sound of the surf, people-watch, and relax in the sun.
The unit itself was well-equipped, clean and spacious. We ate in often and everything you need to prepare a full meal was at our disposal.
Choose this G502 unit and you are sure to hit a home run with your family and friends who might join you.

Everything was very nice! Clean condo! Awesome view. I wish that they had a couple more beach toys or chairs. Room does come with two beach service chairs but when you have 6 people and a kid it would be nice to have a little. But not a complaint at all just a suggestion.

Beautiful and Convenient
We love to stay in 502 because it has everything we need for cooking meals on site, it has a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony, beach chairs and umbrella included, close to all the pools and of course so close to the ocean. We highly recommend this condo for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of the beach and have a wonderful time with family or friends. In our case it was both!

Beautiful Condo
The condo was amazing and sparkling clean. We loved the location. We had zero problems other than me not turning the on switch on for the coffee pot. The management and owner were both very quick to help me figure it out, I was so embarrassed! I do wish that there was at least 1 empty cabinet to put our groceries away, we did have to stare at most if groceries on the counter all week. Not a huge problem, but it did drive my ocd crazy a bit. I would return to this condo in a heart beat! Please let me know when bookings for next July will begin. Thank you for providing such a clean and beautiful home for our family trip. We will treasure these memories for a lifetime.

Great condo for a family vacay
We enjoyed this gulfside condo for our family beach trip. It is nicely decorated, spacious enough for 4 adults and 2 kids, and clean. We loved waking up to the beautiful ocean view each day. The only downside was that the elevator located right across the hall was not operating. We had quite a walk to get from our unit to the beach and pool since we had to use a different elevator. My dad is handicapped and this was challenging for him. Other than that, we had a very nice time. My daughters enjoyed the pools and we liked being able to go over to the Island next door for lunch.

First Trip to Emerald Coast
My family and I had a fabulous trip to the Destin area. It was our first trip. The stay at Destin West was the highlight of the trip. The condo is well decorated and is well equipped with utensils and all that you would need for an extended stay. My girls (4 and 1) had a blast in the balcony watching fireworks on the pier, shouting out to the people on the beach, singing songs in the morning and so on. The condo itself is fairly well located with easy access to Destin and surrounding areas. We used Publix via instacart for all the grocery needs. Shelly Tumlin was thorough and responsive to all our needs. I was in contact with her regarding different things and she was a perfect hostess. The beach was crowded given the busy beach season and post COVID rush of travel. We also utilized the lazy River and pools that were part of the Destin west resort. Needless to say, my girls had so much fun. The oldest one kept asking me if she could bring the beach house with her to her home in TN. Overall, remarkable experience and highly recommended. I have already written too much!

Family and friends trip
Loved the condo and all the extra touches. We had a blast. We had to get our umbrellas next door to accommodate all of us. We had 8 condos. 2 on gulf side and 6 on bay side. We had 11 umbrellas in all. Destin West doesn’t have enough beach front to accommodate that. It wasn’t a problem just a longer walk!

Spectacular View!
The unit was nice with an awesome view! Very clean and Covid standards were met. The owner and property manager was very, very nice and accommodating. The only downside...two of the elevators were not working. One of the elevators out of service was at our end of the complex. The complex manager said they should be working in the next couple of weeks. Nice visit to Destin!

Gorgeous oceanfront condo!
We had the best time visiting this condo with our three children! Everything was even better than described. Our kids loved playing in the clear water, watching dolphins, stingrays, crab hunting and our son and even caught a flounder off the shore. The lazy River pool was awesome and we usually headed over there in the afternoons after we had enough of the beach. Would love to come back sometime!

Great place for family location
Six from our family (3 adults and 3 kids) stayed here together for a week for spring break. The condo was a perfect set up for us- great location, comfortable space, amazing views, and gorgeous beach! We highly recommend. The only challenge we had was all the traffic between fort Walton and destin, but it was spring break so that’s somewhat expected. I highly recommend this place!

Nice view.
The best part of this condo was the balcony view and location to the beach. The master bedroom and bath were nice but the second bedroom and bath are small. The queen mattress in the second bedroom was the worst to sleep on. Could never get comfortable and woke up with backaches every day. The second bathroom was tiny. Zero counter space. Four adults staying six nights and only one roll of toilet paper provided per bath. Also no paper towels. Since second bedroom bed was horrible we attempted to use the fold out couch which wouldn't foldout! I would recommend this place for two adults and little kids probably wouldn't mind the second bed and bath. Elevator was broken so be prepared for a long walk to the parking lot. The uncomfortable wooden beach chairs were $80.00 a day to rent as it was after October 31st.

Property review
Overall we were very pleased with the property. There was no hair dryer as it stated there would be in the listing, but the owner was very responsive and brought us one. The listing did state there would be 2 rolls of toilet paper per restroom, but there was one 1 per restroom. Since we were only staying 5 days, we did our shopping before we checked in and did not purchase any additional, as we thought we would have enough. We ended up running out with 1 day left and had to go purchase more.
