Location is is perfect.The house has everything that a family needs for a week at the beach. The house is maintained. The decks are perfect for sunrise and sunset views. I did email Carolina Shores to notify of sightings of roaches in the morning and I never got a response. The house was clean but we found it bothersome.

Its a great house. Brand new floors and kitchen. Had great kitchen supplies. Location is midpoint between beach access so tough if u have mobility issues. We loved it. Would recommend renting directly from Carolina Shores. It may be less expensive.

Overall very nice home. But one thing absolutely upsets me, I called 2 weeks prior about a review of the house having roaches and talked with one of your associates. We'll we come down guess what we had roaches, you did send exterminator over but why did this have to happen. Especially when it was brought to your attention. My wife and I felt uncomfortable all week because of this.

We initially loved the house. The location was perfect. It was very quiet, cute neighborhood and the beach was not crowded at all. It felt like a private beach. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the inside was cute. Nothing fancy but enough for what we needed. Initially we thought the house was clean because it smelled like bleach when we walked in. However, we realized the house was not vacuumed as there was black dog fur everywhere and we kept finding other people’s hair. It was also dusty. What really bothered me was not only did we find a dead cockroach but the one night I went back out to the kitchen and turned the lights on and a cockroach ran across the floor. I was so freaked out the rest of the trip we slept with the lights on because I was afraid more were going to come out if we turned the lights off. I also was disappointed I couldn’t do laundry before we left because not only is the laundry area outside, down the steps in a dirty storage room but the washing machine was full of mold. The house would have been much better had it been cleaned properly. The property management company was good though because when we got there our toaster wasn’t working and they brought us a new one in about a half hour but they need to get a better cleaning service.

We've rented thru Carolina Shores for 5 years I believe, all with the same rental property, because we loved the property, the location, the fact that we can bring our dog and although we are on the other. side of beach road across from the beach, we can clearly see the ocean from our one story raised house because of the breaks in the homes that are oceanfront. It makes for an easy and quick jaunt to the beach. Carolina Shores is really good, and has gotten better in recent years. They provide a welcome bag of goodies and I feel like they do a good job of breaking down all the expenses so that you know what you are paying for.

We Arrived Sunday July17 and were greeted with a goody bag from Southern Shores realty! Everyone there was so nice and helpful! The cottage location was great! Beach views from the front porch, nice open living space. Most importantly we could turn our vehicle around in the driveway so we did not have to back out onto the beach road! Will definitely look into staying there again and/or booking with Southern Shores!!

Adorable Kitty Hawk M&M beach house
This was our first time visiting the Outer Banks and this adorable beach house was perfect for our family of five. We absolutely loved our week here! Super location with a beautiful beachfront view. We loved sitting on the front porch every day enjoying the ocean. The house was clean, adorably decorated, and had all the amenities. A wonderful place to stay.

Great location as the property is very close to the main entrance to the island and steps away from the beach. The house is very accurately described and was clean. Nothing about the home will wow you, but had everything we needed for our family of four. Rental company was quick to respond to the only issue we had (dryer wasn't working) and offer a good, alternative solution.

The rooms were not cleaned properly there was a dirty diaper in one of the rooms, the linen was over priced gritty and one of the towels had holes in them disappointing for the price charged
Overall the place is adequate with a few changes and upgrades by the owner it’s a nice place to stay by the beach

Great property with views and close proximity to beach
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! It was a comfortable beach cottage that met all of our family needs. We enjoyed the porch with the views of the water and loved how close it was for us to head over to the beach. This is an ideal location and doesn't feel too crowded in comparison to other areas of OBX. The outdoor shower was a bonus with only 1 shower upstairs. Also valued having the washer and dryer. We would highly recommend and look forward to future visits!

This was a great little 3 bedroom shore house located on the beach road - we literally just had to cross the street, walk several yards and then get onto the beach. The view from the balcony is great - you can see the ocean under the two houses that are beachfront, and to either sides. For the money it's a great view! Loved the hardwood floors - so much better than carpet. We've already reserved our week for next year. We love Kitty Hawk and we come every year to the Outer Banks!

This is a great 3 bedroom beach house! From the other side of beach road, you can clearly see the ocean to the left and even under the houses across the road that are on the beach. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the waves. Easy beach access as well. Like the hardwood floors - so much easier to maintain than carpet. We will be back!

Returning Guests
This is the third time we have rented this cottage. It is a great house in a great location and very easy to access the beach. The house and amenities are in great condition. We have young children and it’s a great rental property for them also. They can easily play in the open floor plan and on the front deck. We will consider renting this cottage again.

This cottage is amazing. It is in a great location (just across the street from the ocean). We had cable, Wi Fi, a beautiful roomy kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a bath and a half. There also is a shower downstairs near the washer and dryer. We could sit on the porch and enjoy the ocean. We are really glad we stayed at the "M and M". This is a great place for making lasting family memories.
