About this cabin rental

Nestled on a level, tree-studded 2/3 acre flat lot, this 4-bedroom, 2-alcove home features beautiful log woodwork creating a classic cabin feel. Situated in the heart of Twain Harte, you'll be close to town but on a quiet street. The cabin is ideal for larger families, its 4 bedrooms sleeping 10 with 3 queen and1double sleigh bed, as well as 2 single beds in the adjoining alcoves. All bedrooms are upstairs and have remote control fans. The upstairs bath has been completely remodeled, highlighted with a spacious rock floor shower. Cable, Smart TV and wireless Internet is available, as well as board games, karaoke and a badminton set.

Rentals are two-day minimum, a week minimum in the summer, from the end part of June through the end of August. Please ask us about pets, our accomodations for them and our specific rules. We have a fully refundable pet deposit for guests wanting to bring their pets and follow the rules.

Guests can enjoy our huge, beautiful deck under the trees, perfect for lounging and entertaining , with chaises, chairs and a bench picnic table, a large gas BBQ and a 3-person swing that adults and kids love. Deer visits are common on our large lot.

We are Twain Harte Lake members, our guests have privileges to buy daily tickets. Talk to us about how this works. We provide some beach chairs and rafts. For golfers, a relaxing round at Twain Harte Golf Course is just a 1/4 mile away.

Enjoyed our stay. Gail is a great host! Very accommodating and made sure we were well taken care of. Good location with plenty of parking. We had 2 boats and 3 vehicles with room to spare. All parking is off the public street. Huge deck with plenty of room to relax. Definitely would book again!

On the plus side, we were exactly at the elevation where there was lush forest, but no snow to dig out from, yet a mere 30 minute drive to ski slopes, snow parks and gorgeous Pinecrest Lake. There was a lovely, easy 4-mile walk just a short drive away. This house had old-fashioned charm, plenty of hot water for showers and a table we could all sit around. Our host, Gail, was readily accessible by text or email. On the negative side, both the furnace and pellet stove failed to work at different points of our trip. We had to spend time on the phone trouble-shooting. (A written manual for these devices AND all other instructions would have been helpful.) I had to ask for the Instruction Packet to be emailed to us. VRBO listed this house as having a hot tub, which it did NOT. Gail, informed us of this just days before our stay, even though we had booked 2 months prior. She offered to buy us pizza to compensate for the inconvenience, but we were looking forward to cooking together. Sadly, the kitchen did not have enough large cooking pots or serving bowls. We were charged a $1500 deposit, so I was nervous about all the rickety furniture and the pilot going out on the furnace. The house is listed as having beds for 10 people, however, one of the beds was in an alcove that was way too cold. (Plastic was place over most of the windows for insulations.) Finally, I had to ask for the deposit back after nearly a week.

The host Gail put a bouquet of flowers and a sympathy card on the dining room table on our arrival day. It was very comforting. The cabin was perfect for my family to be able to come and go for the family events that occurred during the four days we stayed. Definitely would stay at this property in the future especially under better circumstances.

The cabin has many advantages, being on a lovely tree-filled lot, easy walking distance into town. The large deck is wonderful and the lake privileges are a plus. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of fans. We found a few problems, however. There were windows next to beds with no screens. That was a safety concern with small children. Also, several windows were taped shut, which made it harder to cool the rooms at night. Some of the windows had no coverings, making it a challenge to block out the sun/heat. Several bedroom lamps didn’t work. So the window issues were a significant problem for our group, but everything else about the cabin was fine.

This property was great! Big outdoor deck and lots of space outside for the kids to run around and play. Conveniently located and getting to town/restaurants is very walkable if you want to take a break from driving. We spent almost every day of our stay at Twain Harte lake- only a 5 min drive and the kids loved it!

This was the Twain Harte getaway that we were all looking for. The property had a cabin feel with all of the amenities of home that fit our family of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids under 8) perfectly. It was clean, everything worked and was in the perfect location to town. Gail was a delight to work with and provided ALL of the information you could possibly need, not just about the property, but the area in general. She even checked on us to make sure there were no issues once we arrived. We will definitely use this property again in the future. Thanks Gail for a sharing your home and for a wonderful experience.

Our group of seven adults fit comfortably. Loved the cabin feel and furnishing. Internet very reliable. Dining table was big enough for all of us. So close to town, very walkable. We had snow flurries during the day. Saw deer every day!

Gail was a great host everything was as described. We stayed just before the cold season and the pellet stove kept the place cozy. There was also a larger heater in the living room just in case you needed extra heat. The kitchen was easy to navigate and had additional access to the wrap around deck. The beds and bedding worked out great for our party of 9 adults. On-site parking was another great perk for us with so many guests. Love wildlife? I was greeted with a family of deer who frequented the property. SO… fresh crisp air, wildlife, cozy cabin, great host, equaled great weekend for me!

We did a girls getaway for the first time. My granddaughters, daughter, daughter in law and me. 8 of us. The owner Gail was so great we were only staying for 2 days so she let us check in a few hours earlier so we didn’t waste so much time. The property is so close to town great location. Great places to eat and the house was very comfortable for the 8 of us. She communicated so well with me and called me the day before to see what time we were coming and to see if I had any questions. Thank you Gail for the nice trip

We have stayed at this property twice. Gail, the property owner is very responsive. Check in, check out, and general instructions for the stay are very detailed and clear. Our group is two families with ‘tween children. We love the space and the setting in the trees is very serene. The house is a good proximity to the lake and getting into downtown for restaurants and rounds of mini golf are a short, pleasant walk. The house is large enough to accommodate our group and comfortably appointed. Dinners on the deck are great. We will definitely book again!

My family of four had a great weekend In Twain Harte. What a great place to relax. This cabin is easy walking distance to down town and is so, so close to the grocery store. Communication with the owner, Gail, was super easy and I know she would have been able to navigate us through any issue if we had one (we didn't). We really liked the cabin, lots of beds, seating and parking. Unfortunately, because of a severe heat wave we did not spend as much time in much time there besides sleeping. Most of our time was spent keeping cool at the lake. This cabin does have Twain Harte Lake Access.. I really would have loved to BBQ with friends on that gorgeous porch if the weather hadn't of been so extreme.

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Our three grandchildren enjoyed spending a day at Twain Harte lake, playing pee golf, and the play ground. Also enjoyed a day trip to Pinecrest lake.

Gail is a responsive and helpful host. The property is charming and immaculate. The giant porch is the perfect setting for playtime and big family dinners. We recommend all that TH has to offer, especially: the lake association (perfect for new swimmers), nearby Pinecrest lake, Mini Golf, resale shopping, ice cream, dinners out at the Rock, Sportsman for breakfast and even a dip in the community pool! What a great getaway for our family.

We had a great time staying here! Plenty of room for 8 adults and a tall 14 year old boy. Plenty of parking for 2 SUV’s and 2 4 wheel drives with small trailers for Can Am and dirt bikes plus more if needed which was a must for us. Huge deck for BBQing and hanging out!

I had the pleasure of staying in a very nice cabin in a quaint town just a short distance from Dodge Ridge. Our skiing venture was beyond excellent, property was kept well with an owner that helped ensure our stay was pleasant and fun. I recommend this property and location for quick skiing getaways. . We are looking forward to renting again.
