Just what we wanted

Jeanine was a wonderful host! The property is only a couple of minutes walk from the wedding venue. My friend and I felt very at home there as it was so comfortable. Very happy with our decision to stay there!

Wonderful host and beautiful house.

The host Jeannine was so lovely. The house was super close to a Wedding we were attending at Gabbinar Homestead. Jeannine cooked us a delicious breakfast on both days. Comfortable beds and spacious areas. We were given handy information about the area. We met and loved Bella the gorgeous dog. A fabulous location. We were well and truly well looked after. Highly recommend.

it’s a nice house.

was made aware of owner living in the house after booking and paying which is non refundable. owner was annoying and did not leave us alone when we were at the house. She also has a dog that lives in the house. pool was not clean.

nothing made me fill unwanted did t even stay the two night I booked and won’t give me back my refund

when we got there the lady looked like she didn’t want us to stay or be there at all. wasn’t very clean. so we ended up booking for another place to stay.

A clean and comfortable place to stay but check the do's and don'ts before you book...

The breakfast supplied each morning was of a very high standard, and sufficient for the 7 adults and 1 child who stayed on site. The bedrooms were a good size and clean and comfortable. The house was clean except for the area outdoors which had dog hair on the sunchairs and lounges.

***The bed and breakfast comes with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a patio with pool views. ******* We were disappointed to learn that the host and her son (who we weren't aware he was staying the whole time we were there), had used the 2 bathrooms we were allocated, while we stayed there for 7 days. We were not happy that there was a dog on site and were not aware of this when the booking was made. There were 3 of us who have allergies to pet hair, so it was a challenge by the end of our stay. What was advertised on booking.com was contradictory to what was available. We were hoping to use the bbq, however, it appeared the owner was reluctant for it to be used.

Lovely space but if you’re looking for privacy, I wouldn’t recommend.

Great for families, spacious house with ample room, wonderful outdoor space for entertaining, pool for kids.

The host lives inside the house and was around a lot more than we would of liked, I thought it would be a detached studio that she stayed in and we would be left to ourselves. The host was lovely and pleasant but was very invasive, she did cook a lovely breakfast and I'm sure she meant well but would not leave us alone to be in peace and stayed around the whole time we ate which felt uncomfortable. As a guest you are not allowed to use the dishwasher the host insisted on doing all our dishes, cleaning and also wasn't happy with us using the washing machine or aircon or ducted air which I felt should've been inclusive given the amount of money we paid.

We were very comfortable!

Plenty of space for our family of 4. Very comfortable beds, bedrooms upstairs, kitchen and TV/lounge room downstairs. Nice outdoor area with pool, although we didn't use this as the weather was a bit chilly. Jeannine, our friendly and attentive hostess, who lives in the house, prepared a lovely cooked breakfast for us each day.

We were in Toowoomba for a wedding, which was held at Gabbinbah Estate, just across the road. So the property was perfect location for us. We had a vehicle so were able to get around Toowoomba easily; it is not within walking distance of the main part of the town.

If you want to attend a function at Gabbinbar Homestead- its the perfect spot

Breakfast just lovely and generous

We totally get that having a dog as a companion and perhaps watchdog is a great idea, the only negative of the stay was the dog. Yes she was such a friendly loving dog, but the barking was a negative especially when the "master" was out. But when she was home, Jannine went out of her way to stop the barking and succeeded every time.

Our group of 9 adult friends and relatives were of varying ages, from mid 20s to mid 50s. We enjoyed our breakfast outside in the fresh air on the patio overlooking the gardens and pool. Jeannine cooked a hearty breakfast and graciously catered for the one vegetarian. The location was perfect for our event across the road at Gabbinbar Homestead. Jeannine was accommodating and friendly, we enjoyed chatting with her.

Personally couldn't fault our stay and no one in the group had any complaints either. Something doesn't suit your needs? Just ask, Jeannine was helpful and accommodating. :-)

Lovely host and a beautiful home. Excellent location to Gabbinbar Homestead. Would stay there again.

Location was excellent in regards to my niece's wedding at the Gabbinbar Homestead - basically just across the road and a short walk through some beautiful scenery. Jeannine was an excellent host - warm and so welcoming to myself and my family staying at her beautiful home. She had everything there that you could possibly need and after showing us all around, left us to our own devices which was lovely since we had so much to catch up on family-wise. As for the cooked breakfast that she provided us each morning - cooking for 9 people would be hard at the best of times, but Jeannine did an amazing job. Would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing that I didn't like.
