This is a convenient home base for exploring Telluride and the surrounding areas. This one-bedroom condo right on the Telluride River Trail sleeps 3 guests (max 2 adults) and offers guests a kitchenette, flat screen TV for streaming, a full bathroom, and a sun-drenched patio with direct garden access. We don't advise working on vacation, but if you must there's a cozy work station perfect for catching up between adventures. Indulge in your morning coffee or evening bottle of wine on the patio and enjoy the stunning mountain views. Staying steps from The River Trail means an easy, beautiful walk to any part of town including summer festivals in Town Park or the free gondola to mountain village.
You'll enter this space into the bedroom area, outfitted with a comfortable queen bed and flat screen TV. Continuing through the unit, you'll pass the bathroom with a beautifully remodeled vanity area on your left and the desk on your right. Finally, you enter the living area which includes a sleeper sofa, kitchenette, and bar top dining area. The kitchen offers a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. A fireplace adds a touch of mountain magic along with the sound of the San Miguel River flowing by... In any season, Viking Lodge 116 provides an excellent home base for your mountain adventures.
Staying steps from The River Trail means an easy, beautiful walk to any part of town including summer festivals in Town Park or the free gondola to mountain village. You're just a quick walk to the free town bus or to anything you need or want in the heart of town. There's a wine shop and a number of restaurants just across the street as well.

There isn’t a more perfect location than Viking Lodge. Beautiful views of the slopes and river. Easy access to river trail and gondola. The host was super quick to respond to calls and texts. I left my night mouth guard in the unit (discovered after I checked out and got back home to Alabama) and they mailed it to me - so nice!

Lived up to expectations based on the listing. The management company did a great job communicating and were very responsive to questions. We'd select this property again.

We love to cook on vacation and this condo was well designed and well stocked. Grocery stores within walking distance or using the free gondola made provisioning easy.
The short walk to the free gondola provided days of challenging hikes, after which we returned for a dip in the pool and hot tub, then prepared a tasty meal on the gas cooktop and the charcoal grill.

Great Place to Stay for Telluride Bluegrass
We stayed here for the Telluride Bluegrass and it was perfect for our small family of four. Convenient access to town and an easy walk to the festival. The hosts were amazing - very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

Viking Lodge is our favorite tride spot!
This is my 9th summer to vacation in Telluride & all but 1 of those years have been at various units in Viking Lodge! The location, pool/hot tub, has been perfect for our family. We love 1st floor units along the river, trail access into town, yet upper units facing the river & gondola are special as well. My only feedback for this unit was the couch mattress was necessary to use for this trip & the mattress was awful on my back. It needs to be replaced asap. Remodeled unit other than that was gorgeous!

Spring Break getaway with my son
My 17 year old son and I stayed here for his Spring Break/Senior trip. It was a great location within walking distance to Lift 7 and the Gondola. It was perfect for us! The unit was updated and nice with everything you need. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Long weekend
Everything was good, everything we needed for a comfortable stay was in the condo. A little bit of a walk for little ones with ski gear to the gondola, but easy walk for adults. Only negative was hot tub was not working.

Nice condo but
THere were two of us staying at your property and we were there to ski. One slept on the couch and he had trouble sleeping due to the light at night; thus we suggests “blackout” curtains for that room. We were not thrilled with the tv option and would suggest basic cable or “YouTube” tv; if not that then better instructions on ‘streaming.’ Several of the overhead lights needed bulbs. Finally, more hooks to hang ski clothes, etc.

We enjoyed our stay at the Viking Lodge in Telluride. The unit was what we expected based upon the VRBO listing. It was just my wife and I, and it was a great size for us two. There would be little privacy if you chose to have additional guests and/or kids, so I feel it’s best suited to a couple. I would also recommend to keep in mind the unit only has a kitchenette and not a full kitchen. This worked well for us, as we had a desire to eat out for all of our meals. It may not work so well if you plan to cook some meals.Our favorite attributes of the unit were the location and the patio area. The weather was perfect during our stay, and we enjoyed a nice stroll to all the town of Telluride has to offer including the gondola. We also enjoyed sitting on the back patio which is right next to a nice grassy area, path, and stream. Other things of note are a comfortable queen bed, hot tub/pool for lodge, laundry for lodge, and overall clean unit.Some improvements I would recommend are something other than carpet in the kitchen/living area and ice machine for the lodge.Overall we enjoyed our stay, perceived a good value, and would recommend this unit.

Cozy Condo
This Telluride condo is a real gem. Not large, but nicely furnished and well equipped. It is ideally situated steps away from the river path, close to the lifts, and a short walk into town. The ground level location with the outdoor patio area is the icing on the cake.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Viking Lodge 116. We have three small children, and it was a bit cramped, but very clean and well put together - the small kitchenette has everything you could possibly need! The location is great, you can't beat the quality and the price, especially for Telluride. Highly recommend and we would definitely stay again!!

Perfect for family of 4!
Some reviews I read mentioned this place being small so I was apprehensive prior to arrival. The condo is precisely as stated though! Nice comfortable bed for us, the kids enjoyed the bunk beds and there is a family room with little kitchen that was sufficient for all our cooking needs. About a 5 walk along the creek to the gondola. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay again when visiting Telluride!

Wonderful place!
We stayed four nights. It was quiet, good bed, bathroom and kitchen, all well appointed with quality towels, cook ware and utensils. It was cozy and easy to get to. Unfortunately, they were doing some resurfacing on the parking areas, so we had to move the car around daily. But will be very nice now that it is done, and wasn't too much bother. Thank you David and Georgie for all your help. Hope to see you next year. Tom and Valerie in New Mexico
