No comfort hotel

Close to Isa Hotel restaurant

The bed was like sleeping on cement, pillows rock hard, carpet disgusting I would walk bare foot. Room so small. When I spoke with staff regarding this, she replied "awesome"

Very good

Booking service desk staff were very friendly.

The constant banging on my wall from the neighbours throughout the night was annoying. Sounded like they were moving furniture.

I will try elsewhere next time given a $200+ room rate.

Dinner was a nice Porterhouse cooked as requested. Breakfast was great

No Hot water. so had a cold shower after waiting 15 mins for the water to warm. After trying for 30mins I finally got one channel TV reception which quickly disappeared. So gave up.

Room Air conditioner did not work. Dinner was excellent however wasnt enough to make up for no air con and constant noise of people fighting in the street.

Mt Isa Hotel

Great location and is walking distance to local shopping district. Good street parking.

Access to rooms via lift was a long distance across two buildings if you have a lot of baggage to put in your room. Stair access was ok though and available if you dont have heavy cases.

Was disappointed with our stay.

We did like the restaurant and staff.

I think the carpets last clean was a long time ago. It felt very tired and unloved.

Exceeded my expectations, would stay again!

We were happy with how clean the rooms were. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and it was quiet. The staff were friendly and they even rang to check on us when we were late checking in. It exceeded my expectations room wise.

There was no secure parking so I was quite worried about our car over night.

Difficult to find the reception as hotel over two buildings. A long way to walk from the car parking out the back up to the rooms (difficult with lots of bags).

The power was out from 2.00am-5.50am I had a work conference that day and did not get any sleep during this time.

Disappointing

Not much...didn't stay

Sadly upon arrival the smell in the corridor's was not pleasant. On inspection of the room we decided that we would not stay. The room was directly over the gaming lounge which is open until 4:45 am. While the room was spacious it was also very worn out with mould in the bathroom. The room didn't overlook the mine or have a view. It overlooked a side street.

Okay for a short stay.

The free laundry was helpful, and the location is convenient for shops (woolies, bottle shop etc). The food in the attached restaurant was okay.

It seems like two hotels (Red Earth and Isa) have joined, and so there's a fair bit of walking involved between the different parts of the hotel from place to place. Reception is in one parts, the room and restaurant are in the other, and so on. Not a huge deal perhaps, unless you've got heavy luggage, which I did. The sound-proofing in the rooms isn't great, which I discovered when the next-door people came back drunk. My room had an exterior staircase (fire escape) right outside, so when people used that exit (they did a lot) they were directly outside my window.

We ordered room service and after an hour and a half we rang to see where it was. We then received our meals and they were cold. Bit disappointed!
