Viagem no tempo

O imóvel onde fica o hotel é belissimo. Atendimento ótimo. Café da manhã c um croissant delicioso, salmão defumado e muitas outras boas opções. P quem fica nas acomodações da categoria Imperial tem acesso a uma sala c sanduíches e maquina de café. Piscina muito boa. Enfim, uma ótima opção de hospedagem em Sto Domingo.

Le prix d’un 5 etoiles mais pas le niveau. Dommage…

Emplacement en pleine zone coloniale, parfait ! Dans un bâtiment a l’architecture et la decoration de l’époque, merveilleux. Des patios, fontaines et fleurs d’un romantisme inégalé à St Domingue.

Une très belle terrasse mais qui surplombe une des avenues les plus fréquentées de la ville avec le bruit et les odeurs en permanence. La petite piscine n’était pas nettoyée. Le mobilier d’extérieur (chaise longue, tables, coussins) sont vraiment vieillots.

Très bel hotel

L'hôtel est très propre. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables. Le lit était très grand. L'emplacement est au cœur de la zone coloniale, c'est parfait pour la visiter. Le restaurant était bon ainsi que le bar. La piscine est agréable, avec un billard à côté. Il y a de nombreux espaces extérieurs ravissants. Un petit marché était présent près de l'hôtel.

L'hôtel donne une vue sur une rue de la zone colonial (très bien) mais aussi sur le fleuve Ozama (en travaux, avec d'énormes ferries). Nous nous faisions régulièrement approcher par des vendeurs dans la rue de ce quartier pour nous vendre tout et surtout n'importe quoi.

Superb and delightful experience.

I loved this property! What a time travel gem in the center of Santo Domingo’s old town. The delicacy of every single detail made us feel like royalty. The welcome letter had wax seal with the original seal of the governor’s whose house used to belong to. Beautifully decorated, elegant, fine, exquisite work to keep its original design. The concierge, Felix, was a plus. Ever present and such a problem solver. Knowledgeable about the history, he gave us a tour around the premises explaining everything. What a proper and decent person! His appearance was impeccable and so were his manners. The girls by the front desk, the boys by the bar, the waitresses, everyone was friendly and eager to answer any questions. Clara was a beautiful lady, it was a delight to have her as my waitress and so was Virgilio. They feel so proud of their jobs, and that says a lot. It was more than I expected.

Que los impuestos no estaban incluidos en la tarifa que se promueve. Recomiendo incluirlo todo para no tener sorpresas a la hora de pagar

Unique, historic, comfortable property fantastically located to the main colonial zone

This hotel is a unique stay, as the former home / mansion of the first Spanish governor of the area. The building was expanded and now is run by a Dominican company on behalf of the government, which continues to own the facility. The whole site is very impressive, very historic, with all the charm that that conveys. One of the most unique properties I've ever stayed in and would absolutely stay there again. Walking distance to Parque Colon, nearby museums, shopping, the cathedral, as well as many restaurants, bars, etc. Excellent location.

Really, there was nothing I didn't like about the property or the staff. Everyone was very nice, accommodating, gave great recommendations, even went out of their way to find a taxi to take me to dinner one night when I underestimated the distance to the hotel.

Great location, facilities need to improve

Location is excellent. Is close to all the sites to see in the colonial side. The building where is located is beautiful and full of history. The hotel let us had a late check out.

The room had a bad smell and the bathroom was totally flooded in the morning. Breakfast buffet was not very good. I wouldn't recommend to stay here.

A Home away from home.

The Staff and their professionalism. Truly a welcoming attitude and they went above & beyond for my Family. I will most definitely make this boutique Hotel my mainstay in DR.

There was little to nothing about this place that was undesirable.

I booked a 4 night stay at the Hodelpa Nicolás de Ovando. However, due to my changed schedule I had to depart the country. I was told that I would be fully refunded for the other nights but it had now been 2 months and the full refund was not received.

Excellent breakfast Hotel well located Building full of character

Hotel wished to be paid in USD but then had no change in USD First room allocated was windowless and smelt musty with damp Bar staff too busy on their smartphones to see that there were customers to attend There were not sufficient toiletries in the bathroom. When I called reception I was not attended and called again. Same result. I was only attended when I called on the hotel outside line The hot water was tepid not hot Wi-Fi was intermittent in the room When at 8pm I asked to see a manager was told none was available until the morning
