Needs renovation

Check in lady was very friendly, kids got free icecream. Room was big. We got free late check out. Spa was open from 8 and it had some equipment for children. Gym was nice. Late breakfast on weekend. Blankets and pillows ver comfortable.

1. Tv remote did not work, tv showd only one channel even when you tried to change channels manually in tv itself. And tv was dusty. 2. Breakfast on sunday is until 11 which was good, but at 10 food was cold and 4 pancakes left. Tables were full of dirty dishes. People gathered dirty dishes on one table, so we good eat from clean table. 3. Spa was nice but sauna was cold, water was not so warm and rooms itself were cold. I was there with children, and even they got cold so we couldnt stay long (spa was 7.50 for kid and 15 for adult) 4. We asked around 10 o clock in reception late check out and we got until 14 which was good, but 12.40 we got phone call from same receptionist and she asked when you plan to check out. She appolohized but it felt odd. 5. Using shower was bit confusing and needs repair. Bath plastic was broken (719). I think all rooms could use some maintenance. Curtains dirty and holes in it.

La cama era cómoda

Hotel apartado de todo. Muy antiguo y mucho olor a humedad. Hacía calor y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien. La habiatacion y el baño eran del siglo pasado y la moqueta olía mucho a humedad.

Когда заселялись на ресепшен стоял очень приятный работник Александр,( имя запомнили т/к сам Александр).Обслуживание на 100%. Ходили в спорт зал каждое утро, там тоже персонал на 💯. Всем довольны / обязательно следующий раз остановимся именно в этой гостинице.

Вид из окна, местоположение, неплохой завтрак

Старый ремонт, грязные окна, странный кондиционер, умывальник просто в комнате, древние двери с облупившейся краской, снизу так вообще почти гнилые, обои кое где в чём-то измазаны. В ванной комнате ужасный унитаз, старая ванна, плесень, ржавчина, у душа шланг с дыркой и брызгает во все стороны. Из мини холодильника очень неприятный запах. Отсутствуют прикроватные розетки.

Forša, monumentāla viesnīcas ēka - tu ienāc un jūti, ka esi izredzētais, "million worth". Ir savs neliels SPA-centrs (baseins 1.0-1.5 m, saunas, hamams, džakuzijs, sāls istaba par pieejamu cenu). Ļoti patīkamie guļampiederumi izguļamies kā mājās. Viss nepieciešamais un pat mazliet vairāk (interesanta zobu birste :-)) vannas istabā. Pietiekams un gards brokastis, bērni sajūsmā.

Maz kur, bet var redzēt novecojuma pazīmes (piem. burts "O" nosaukumā :-)).

Definitely would stay again.

Check in at almost midnight was the most exceptional experience - friendly, smiley, kind and accommodating. The view of Vecriga (Old Riga) just over the river Daugava was beautiful. Also you can walk to Vecriga in about 10 min over Akmens Tilts or hire scooters near the hotel entrance. Hotel also has a parking lot (12 EUR per 24 hrs) but at least you can leave your car there while exploring Vecriga.

I did feel the mattress in my room for too hard for my liking.

Time travel back to 1992 but a postcard view of the old town of Riga if you get room with river view

It is a hotel, no more no less. If you get a room with river view you have almost a postcard view of the old town of beautiful Rīga from across the river Daugava (which also explains the hotel's name, btw!). You can take the tram or walk over the nearby bridge to the city center (Latvian Riflemen's square). One part of the hotel was built by the communists (but there has of course been renovation!) and the other part was built directly following Latvia's independence. In that part, nothing has changed since 1992 😳 Everything is early-1990s-Scandinavian-style-business-hotel 😳 So if you are a retired German businessman who'd fancy some time travel back to the days of vodka hangover in the hotel after doing business with Igors, Valdemars and Sergejs in Rīga in 1992, or if you are a wannabe Scandinavian traveling salesman with a good imagination, this place is for you! Otherwise, you can get better for the same price in the city center. Because the Daikin air condition in the room, the restroom wallpaper, the OTIS Europa 2001 lifts/elevators, the receptionists who work hard to pretend the place is still ultra-modern and four stars, the.....yeah, it's a time machine!

Tolle Lage und super zimmer

Die Lage ist toll, direkt am Fluss und fußläufig zur Altstadt, wir hatten das Glück ein neu renoviertes Zimmer zu bekommen, danke an die Dame in der Rezeption, das Zimmer war ein Traum.

Das Haus sieht ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aus, wird aber Kleinweise renoviert

Sehr gute Lage,ca 10 Gehminuten von der Altstadt! Frühstück sensationell! Grosses Zimmer im 9 Stock mit super Aussicht!

Einziger Negativ Punkt: Aussenterasse war nicht bedient und offen! Wenn schönes Wetter ist sollte mann so flexibel sein und öffnen!

I enjoyed the view and location was nice.

Our room was perfect as far as sleeping 5 and very spacious.

Outdated: There were zero plugs in the bathroom for a curling iron or flat iron. Also in small print and difficult way to find it (no mention on website clear or booking.com that the Spa/pool is an additional charge) So our family paid 90€ to use a pool for 2hrs that’s overpriced and there were no more than 5adults using it but the fitness instructor wouldn’t let my children use the pool noodles or balls. She had an entire cage full of them. The Breakfast I purchased was advertised as a deal. It was 90€ and the cereal was stale. Again overpriced. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly but the other female was not as pleasant. The Hotel was just ok.

Esmu apmierināta ar visu. Ja būs vēl vajadzība, atgriezīšos šajā viesnīcā!

Numuriņš bija burvīgs, kārtīgs, vienreizēji iekārtots. Klusi. Administrācijā smaidīgs, komunikabls jaunietis, patīkami.

Man personīgi nepatika ēdot brokastis, ka nebija noslaucīti galdiņi! Bija drupačas un dzērienu traipi!

70 -vuotispäivät Riiassa.

Aamiainen on hyvä - erilaisia leipiä paljon, leikkeleitä la kylmäsavulohta, ja jos vaikka mitä. Hedelmiä, mysliä, jugurttia. Lämpimissä, munia, pekonia, munakokkelia ja ihania grillattuja herkkusieniä! Sekä pieniä kakunpaloja makeannälkään. Huone oli iso kulmahuone kahdella parvekkeella - valitettavasti oli niin kylmä, ettei niitä voinut hyödyntää partsilla istumiseen. Oli muuten pöytä ja neljä tuoliakin. Sijainti erinomainen, sillan yli ja olet vanhassa kaupungissa, joko kävellen tai julkisella. Kulkivat noin 100 metrin päästä. Erittäin toimiva liikenne. Julkisen liikenteen lippu 10e/5pv. Huoneeseen ei kuulunut melua sisältä, eikä ulkoa liikenteen äänet, vaikka tie kulki vieressä. Wi-Fi toimi hyvin.

Ei tule mitään mieleen.

Pleasant stay in a very beautiful city

The Hotel is an amazing location overlooking the Daugava River. Though about 1.5 kms away from the old city centre the access through the Akmens tilts (Stone Bridge) is a very scenic walk.

Izcila divguļamā gulta, kluss numuriņš, lieliskas brokasti. Skaists skats no jumta terases.

Rezervēju četrvietīgu biznesa klases ģimenes numuru, saņēmu divietīgu nummuru ar divām pagaidu gultām (atsperu). Nummuriņa platība nebija piemērota vēl divām papildus gultām. Viesnīcai prasās pēc remonta. Nezinu vai šobrīd atbilst 4x zvaigznēm.

A wonderful stay.

The hotel was nicely appointed and we adored the Junior Suite we stayed in. The room was spacious and well appointed but the highlight was the balcony where we had the most beautiful view of the river and Old Town. We stayed just after New Year and there was snow all around. The river was even frozen. It was magic !

Personale cortese ed attento alle richieste del cliente. Letto matrimoniale comodissimo. Stanza molto panoramica. Alloggio molto pulito. Distanza dal centro di circa 1 km fattibile a piedi, soprattutto se si è abituati a camminare, ma comunque vi è la fermata del tram vicino.

La camera dove abbiamo alloggiato era molto spaziosa ma un po' vetusta, come anche il mobilio esistente.

Pleasant

The room was excellent, superbly designed and spacey and comfy. the view was nice and you had the whole city on the palm of a hand. Extra enjoyable was the ability to order food to room and eat at the table.

Room was a bit unprepard as we had to go and ask for extra bed linings for our sofabed. On the second day we lost all cold water for a while, which was slightly annoying.

Great!

We are glad that we have chosen this hotel! It was important for us that there is a comfortable place to sleep for our 6yo child, and here was a good sofa that was prepared for us as a bed by the time of our arrival. We got a spacious room on the 2nd floor with 2 large windows on different sides and with a wonderful view! It was possible to prepare tea and coffee in the room and it was a great plus for us. Bathroom was nice and comfortable, beds we’re comfortable. Parking is next to the hotel building (it cost us 12€ per night; just ask all the information about the parking at the reception). Breakfast - amazing!!! So many different foods and everyone will find what’s good for him! (Our 6yo child doesn’t eat everything, but here he had fruits, croissants and very tasty porridge with strawberry jam.) Only pluses for us during this one night stay!

The hotel is very much in need of a tune-up. Bathroom had a towel with yellow spot. Central air system did not function properly and only hot water from the faucet. Watch out with the kids, since the windows could be opened fully.
