Beautiful hotel in good location

Beautiful room with super comfortable bed. Room had everything I needed. Bar and restaurant are lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

That I was only staying 1 night!

When we go back to Edinburgh, we are definitely staying here

Rehabilitated classic venue, lush interior

Nothing it was all amazing. Our coffee maker was a little bit of a pain to use but other than that, it was impeccable.

The more I stay here; the more I like it

Great location; third-floor room was very comfortable with a beautiful view over the Firth of Forth to Fife. The Smart TV, meant I could catch up with Wimbledon in the evening. Shower over the bath is a bit out-dated and awkward for older guests; generous range of shower gels and shampoos.

Stayed here a few times now and the Front of House staff seem to lack any sort of warmth compared to the rest of the hotel staff who seem to be a bit more upbeat and 'guest-centric.' Disappointed that the restaurant was not open on a Wednesday night but enjoyed a light dinner in the bar; breakfast tray was a bit lacking i.e. no plate to put the toast on!

Not as good as we had expected

Location friendly staff

Booked a superior room but it was very small. Some issues with cleanliness - e.g. staining on mattress protector. We had a number of bags and no one offered to help - disappointing for a hotel at this level. breakfast buffet was uninspiring and food a little disappointing; I ordered runny scrambled eggs on sourdough toast and received firm eggs on one small piece of untoasted sourdough

Super Haus mit kleiner Schwäche

Schönes kleines Stadthaus. Voll gestellt mit alten Möbeln. Zimmer OK. In 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Stadt. WLAN gut und stabil. Parkplatz bewacht für 20 Pfund am Haus buchbar. Sehr dezentes Personal. Ruhige ältere Gäste....

Das continental Frühstück für 20 Pfund ist sehr mager. An sich völlig unpassend für dieses Haus. Keine warme Speisen. Nur ganz wenig Auswahl. Man kann für 26 Pfund warme Speisen bestellen... Eigentlich war dass dort ohne zu fragen pro Tag nochmal 5 Pfund Trinkgeld auf die Rechnung gesetzt wurde... Vielleicht in Schottland so Sitte...

Loved it!

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Very comfortable, warm and luxurious. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Perfect hotel in the centre of Edinburgh.

Outstanding hotel, beautifully maintained and when we were there beautifully decorated for Christmas. Staff really attentive and helpful, small intimate atmosphere. Room excellent…as was breakfast. Convenient for city centre, easy walk but very peaceful stay. So much better than the international chains. Not our first stay and hopefully won't be our last

Totally enjoyable, and we will certainly return when we are next in Edinburgh.

The location is fabulous, quiet street walking distance from Princes St; the staff were very friendly and helpful; the building and decor were really interesting (the artwork collection is amazing). The breakfast was lovely.

The only thing we could suggest is that the bed was a bit firm for our liking. We understand that this is a personal preference. Everything else about the hotel is exceptional.

I would diffidently back if I visited Edinburgh again

This is a luxurious hotel !! Its amazing , the stuff are amazing and helpful with a nice smile each time you come and go , the cleaning service is fabulous with a chocolate each time they clean, as on welcoming there was a big chocolate bar and a drink, the suite is very comfortable and nice the bathroom also is clean and big with everything thing you need, the location is great near to everything. And the most important to us that the check in and out was smooth and fast as also , big thanks to the staff and the hotel for making my journey the best.

Bad experience at the Bonham

The location was good

There was obviously an issue with staff training at this hotel. Lovely old building but the whole experience was let down by poor standards of attention to detail. Staff were slow and inattentive. It was a chore to serve and be helpful

A pleasant and relaxing stay in the hotel, Edinburgh beautiful. Good French restaurant nearby.

In the hotel, there is a very pleasant, friendly atmosphere. A nice surprise is the presence of staff speaking Polish. The location of the property is very good: close to the city center and also to the tram stop going to the airport.

Experience tarnished by issue with hot water flow, otherwise nice stay.

Room was big, clean, tea and capsule coffee available every day. Reasonably "big" small fridge. Bathroom was clean and fine equiped.

Serious issue with hot water pressure on 4th floor. For a hotel of this price range, this is unacceptable and embarrasing (we were not warned - when asking about it at reception it was confirmed to be a known issue). Showers at times took forever due to either low or no hot water flow at all. Beds could use more comfortable mattresses.

Excellent boutique hotel in a beautiful quiet neighborhood but still easy walking distance from city center. Rooms had luxurious feel. High ceilings, nice street views. Great bar and restaurant, with warm ambiance. Friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing we did not like.

High class all the way and lived up to high expectations!

Some of the advice we got from staff were a bit vague i.e. they didn’t know but didn’t say so. Nothing major and servive overall very good.

Excellent place to stay in the centre of Edinburgh.

Beautiful small hotel in a great location. Rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. The bar area was very relaxing with lovely food and drinks. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
