Comfortable relaxing stay, thank you for your good hospitality

The interiors of the room were very welcoming and gave us good vibes.

Intercom/telephone was provided only on request, which in our opinion is an essential requirement in every room.

Staff were extremely busy however very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

Very spacious bathroom and a bath! Bed was huge and very comfortable. Very close to restaurants and beach front.

On arrival at 430pm room wasn't ready for check in which was disappointing, however it was explained they were down a few staff. All was rectified from there our family were given complimentary snacks and free breakfast.

good value for money and with a bit of extra effort with cleaners / decorators it could be excellent

staff, size of room, walk in shower, plenty of space and towels, sea view

My room was large and spacious but general housekeeping in the room was unsatisfactory on this occasion. The windows had masses of cobwebs, the windows were very dirty and the ledges were dusty. The lift and corridor carpets were in need of some care and the paintwork in the lift was all peeled off and scored . The lift button to the first floor was broken and the carpets strewn with black/yellow hazard tape which was unsightly. It was a shame as the staff were very helpful and welcoming and the room was very acceptable.

Fin beliggenhed, gode rene senge - sov virkelig godt. Personalet venlige og prøvede at agere som servicemindet og rette op trods der var en del der gik galt.

Da vi kom havde de tjekket os på et andet pars booking så vi skulle aflevere nøgle og forfra. Vi havde ingen håndklæder og måtte bede om dem flere gange. Selvom vi havde lagt håndklæder til udskift fik vi ikke nye men de havde bare taget dem fra gulv og hængt dem op. Vi havde ikke brugt kaffekopper, men dem fandt vi da vi kom hjem første dag, stående beskidte i blød, på badeværelseshåndvask. Selvom vi bad om nye, fik vi først rene kopper på sidste dagen. Elevator gik i stykker og ku ikke benyttes. Boede på 3 sal. Sidste nat måtte jeg ringe til personale og fortælle det dryppede udenfor vores dør i gangen. Vores loft viste desuden tegn på tidligere gamle vandskader. Personalet satte en spand så måtte lægge papir i bund for at tage støj.

It was OK for a place to sleep for the night

The bed was very comfortable

Lift didn't work properly. Room wasn't very clean. The toilet has poo marks and hairs in the shower. The bed itself was clean though.

Dieses Hotel ist nicht zu empfehlen.

Die Lage des Hotels war direkt am Strand.

Das Hotel war sehr dreckig und vernachlässigt. Die Fenster waren so schmutzig, dass man nicht hindurchschauen konnte. Der Lift war außerdem defekt. Unser Zimmer machte den Eindruck, dass es nicht gereinigt wurde. Der Teppichboden bestand vorwiegend aus Flecken und überall fand man noch Dreck von den Vorgängern. Weiterhin war es nicht möglich ein Fenster zu öffnen und da es keine Klimaanlage gab, war es extrem heiß und stickig. Unter diesen Umständen sind wir nicht geblieben, sondern verließen dieses Hotel.

Une très grande chambre avec des lits confortables. Une table avec des chaises et un canapé devant la télévision. Un excellent emplacement à Eastbourne. Parfait pour une famille avec 3 enfants.

Very enjoyable would definitely recommend

Nicely located, room was much better than expected Guy on reception desk was an absolute joy. Very professional and always asked if we were ok and if everything was acceptable. Think his name was Lewis a credit to the hotel nothing was too much. We run out of t bags and rather than have us wait he bought them up to our room instead. Top guy

Room was over looking the sea on second floor. Windows were very dirty on the outside and whilst the room was generally clean and spacious there was only a thin veneer layer of luxury about it. The bathroom curtains were very tatty with holes. The toilet flush was hit and miss and the hairdryer near the sink and mirror was for show only. The staff though were very pleasant and cheery. We elected to not order breakfast. to conclude we got what we paid for and cannot complain

Lansdowne Hotel saved the day Great Hotel!!!

I did not stay there because the hotel had closed to visitors and they had allegedly transferred my booking to the Lansdowne Hotel for the night as an alternative which I had accepted and acknowledged with both Citrus Hotel and Booking.com.

When we arrived at the Lansdowne Hotel they had no knowledge of our booking and we were very fortunate that a late cancellation came in whilst we were talking to a very helpful member of staff on the desk who was trying to find us an alternative hotel.

Good location, great breakfast

The bar in the pictures, is now closed, which is part of the reason we booked. We had to change rooms 3 times, as was given a double when we booked twin, 2nd room no electric sockets worked, so had to move agn. Parts look abit rundown. Lift very temperamental.

Liked the hotel ‘s proximity to the beach.

Room and bed were okay though could do with a more firm bed. Wish there was a spar facility to benefit from some treatments for total relaxation.

The hotel was nice, the staff were pleasant but not helpful or the best.

The breakfast was nice and there was a good choice. The room facilities were good and it was spacious. They made the dog very welcome.

Th staff were not knowledgeable. I had to argue with them about the fact that I had paid for breakfast, when they hadn't looked at the booking properly. The family suite is right under the breakfast room, so at 5.30/6 am when they were setting up for breakfast by what I can only describe as a heard of elephants stomping backwards and forwards. My elderly mother, who we had asked to be near us was on the 2nd floor and we were in the basement. They hadn't told us that we wouldn't be near each other. When we went to her room on arrival we waited for what seemed like an age for the lift. When it finally arrived there was a member of staff in the lift with a trolly. They didn't get out and so rather than wait for any longer mu mum had to walk up to the 2nd floor.

Basic accommodation near the beach

The room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated near the beach.

The decor is basic and outdated (see photos). The price was very high for a single room without breakfast. My room key had a card as key ring, with the hotel name and address, as well as the room number on it. If the wrong person finds the key or steals it from you, they know where to find your belongings.

Breakfast was nice and tasty and a variety of choice. Rooms were spacious and clean.

It was a different experience due to covid restrictions. As I there wasnt a bar to relax and have a drink in.

A basic hotel

Good location, staff were lovely.

Bed was very basic, mattress on a solid base, but it creaked every time you moved. Hair dryer was from a previous decade (not an issue for me!) but partner was not impressed. Seagulls were annoying, particularly at 03:20 in the morning, but they did move away allowing sleep thereafter.
