Mixed. Impossible to get a full night's sleep due to room temperature. Everything else, very good.

The shower was very good Breakfast was good Staff service and communication was excellent

The room was extraordinarily hot through the night. No ability to cool of have air flow.

Trim is a hidden gem for last day stay to be near Dublin Airport the next day

Clean,large rooms

Staff serving in restaurant barely present. And the free breakfast was a weak effort-empty pastry area,no one around,bread but toaster not working.

Disappointing

Staff attentive at confirming booking and also checked before stay on room allocation to suit needs.

Food stopped serving at 830pm. Bar was not serviced at 10pm, registers rung up already.Not very helpful when asked if they could bring my drink out to me in lobby as barrel needing changing..she said no I can wait. I was really disappointed with the service overall. The staff meant well but one staff member needs customer service training for definite. Tea at breakfast from cannister was tepid. When a lady asked for a fresh pot of tea she was told to use canister. Same waiter that served me in the bar night before. Breakfast choice very limited and out of juice etc. Attention to detail needed and checks done on what is on buffet table regularly. Overall seemed unprofessional and not slick. Maybe my expectations are too high as used to regular hotel stays.

great location and nice hotel. Food was excellent and great value.

There was no Rockshore Lager on draft which was disappointing. Something to do with the gas. Not a biggie but I enjoy a pint of Rockshore.

breakfast was very disappointing- cold tea, tasteless fry, had to ask for butter, glasses, and hot tea because it was in a flask and cold even when we got a pot of tea it was still cold. poor quality bread. Asked for wheaten brown bread and they said they had homemade brown- however it was not homemade but a poor quality shop bought soda. room was clean and big but bathroom not great- very old

Price and location

Heating did work in room.. We both woke during the night cold... Main course took almost an hour to arrive... And even though pancakes were on the menu they didn't have them.. Separate breakfast menu for guests... Paying customers have a much bigger choice... Breakfast was bad I actually snapped my pudding in halves was rock hard and the cold buffet was cereal yogurt and oranges.. Just thought breakfast was poor all round.. Staff very nice.

Good for just passing by

Dinner was great and portions well served The only downside is the the till crashed whilst waiting for the receipt but nobody came to the table to let us know. We had to get to get up to se why it was taken so long and the bill wasn't even right when eventually came

We arrived early and,instead of waiting to see what our question was, the person at reception told us the che k in was at 15.00.we knew that, we just wanted to know if parking was ok so early The room was ok

Disappointing

The location

Everything. The quality of the hotel and staff was awful poor. There were no toilet rolls in the room when we arrived. Dirty cups and cutlery from the previous residents were still there and the milk/coffee hadn't been replenished. Bed was not made properly. We stayed 2 nights and had to remake beds on both evenings. Hotel was dusty and had swarms of flies in the dining area and bar. I mentioned in emails and on the phone that it was our wedding anniversary and wanted to book a table in the restaurant for a romantic meal. We assumed from the hotel website that this was an actaul restaurant however when we were reserving our table we weren't informed otherwise. The meal was greasy and not great at all. The "restaurant" was in the bar where foot traffic and inefficient staff meant it was chaotic (too many staff in the one area and none of them seemed to know what their duties were), the swarm of fruit flies didn't help either. Breakfast "buffet" was a joke. 2 cereals to choose from and cartons of juice poured into a dispenser with a side order of flies. Waitress was informed of the fly situation in the juice but just apologised and did not clean out dispenser. We weren't given a chance to address the stay with reception wben we were booking out. A quite unfriendly lady at reception just took our keycard said bye now and proceeded to carry on with whatever had been occupying her before we arrived at reception. Hotel need serious overhaul in standards and staff training. Would not recommend staying at this hotel.
