Gerne wieder

Mein Zimmer war etwas kleiner, aber sehr toll genutzt und sehr comfortable gestaltet. Das Hotel Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das hauseigene Restaurant ist sehr lecker und auf alle Fälle einen Besuch Wert.

Für eine Nacht alles gut

Super restaurant, Personal sehr freundlich. Waren nüchtern auf Durchreise. Zentral gelegen.

Zimmer sehr klein unterm Dach und warm. Ventilator haben wir leider erst am nächsten Tag entdeckt.

Top Unterkunft Roter Ochse Rhens

Top Unterkunft, sehr sauber, wahnsinnig freundliches Personal und Eigentümer, Essen im Restaurant ein Gedicht, ebenso der angebotene Grillabend!! Für Fahrradausflüge top gelegen, Unterstellmöglichkeit fürs Rad und Ladestation für Ebikes vorhanden! Insgesamt ein gelungener Urlaub! Danke!

Das einzige was ich erwähnen könnte wäre das man zum Frühstück auch Speck, kleine Würstchen oder kleine Frikadellen zum Rührei anbieten könnte! Ansonsten war wirklich alles vorhanden!

Für das was man geboten bekommt, leider zu teuer.

Es gab nichts was es beim Frühstück nicht gab, alles war frisch und ansprechend

Unser Zimmer war sehr klein und dunkel. Das Bad verfügt leider lediglich über eine Milchglas Schiebetür mit Klarglasstreifen. Ich finde sowas müsste vorab in der Beschreibung stehen. Nicht jeder möchte einen Mitreisenden auf der Toilette sitzen sehen. Für mich stimmt einfach das Preis Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

OK, but sloppy service

Rooms and bathrooms are clean and nicely decorated

We arrived at 20:15 in the evening and planned this as a transfer hotel from Italy to Belgium. We booked it due to the nice courtyard where you can eat something after a heavy travel day. We arrived due unforeseen circumstances at 20:15 and asked if we could still eat something but got the message the kitchen was closed already. However in the hallway hang a paper that the kitchen was normally standard opened till 20:30. At the other hand no airco is present in the room and very hot under the roof and no elevators are present

Great location, quaint setting along the Rhine

The restaurant was exceptional, the chef came personally to our table (four of us including brother and sister-in-law) and explained the menu to us in English, knowing we would struggle with the German. The food was VERY good, portion size was great and service very prompt.

I will choose another hotel next time

1. There was a very rude lady at reception. 2. it was very cold in the room, the batteries barely little warmed. 3. There was no coffee machine or kettle in the room as stated in booking.com The fridge didn't work. 4. There is no parking, if you are by car it is better to choose another hotel across the river with parking. Therefore, I parked in a paid parking lot on foot 800 m

This is a quaint, friendly, family-run hotel that is a must stay in Rhens!! The rooms have all the modern conveniences and decor for a comfortable stay, are very clean, and beds are very comfortable. The breakfast and eating area are wonderful... the food is fresh and expertly displayed, with your choice of inside or outside seating (in the quaint courtyard)! Kudos to Werner and staff for making our stay feel like visiting family!

Nice Stay

The location is great. The hotel is cute. It has a charming old style. Though, the bathroom and facilities in general are new and clean. It's a nice mix between old and new.

The bathroom was directly connected to our bedroom, which is usual and fine. However, the door inbetween was quite cheap and not suited. I don't like it if you experince what's happening in the bathroom while you are not actually in the bathroom. The breakfast food options could have been a bit more diverse.

Good stay in Rhens

The room was very cosy and nice decorated, modern. We booked superior double room. The bed was very comfortable. Overall the room was very good. Rhens is very nice small village. The location is perfect for exploring Rhein valley.

The room was without AC, and we had very hot weather. Also could be nice to have a kettle machine and a fridge in the room, especially during summer. The restaurant was full of flies, in the morning when having breakfast, flies all over and also in the night. Too many, and this is not ok. The staff doesn't speak English, only very few words, and the menu for the restaurant was only in German. The parking is in the front of the building, on a hill.

Real single rooms

What I liked the most: a single room is real single room (not as so often just another double bed). Felt very cosy. Was super silent. Proper desk, good light, good WiFi. Very friendly staff.

breakfast buffet: a selection of usual things, but nothing special. (but a comfy restaurant room, nice atmosphere, gemütlich, friendly)

Great location on the main street of Rhens. Nice family run hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was great.

Our room's disappointing view was the back of the hotel, the pillows could be half the size and the parking was difficult to find, but overall it's a nice hotel and we would come back and try it again.

Decemt accommodation with updated interior but wouldn’t consider great value for money

Having a kettle in the room so we could have hot water whenever needed and free parking nearby the hotel. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast was ok was expecting more variety. Shower area didn’t have a door so water would splash out when in use.

The village itself and the location is really nice. Breakfast is nicely done. Free pass for public transportation to Koblenz. Parking in the surroundings is quite easy.

We had a room almost completely upstairs. Which ment a lot of stairs to go to the room. Wifi was unworkable. Since we were there only short stay it was survivable but absolutely unusable. Quality of English i found lacking.

Exceptional

The stuff is very polite, friendly and willing to help you! The food in the restaurant is one of the best we ever ate in Germany! Thank you as well for talking in english! Very rare someone speak to you in english in Germany. But it is very important for a good communication! The hotel is in a very nice area next to Rine and you have easy access to Koblenz, villages by the river, castles as well but Rehns itself is a very beautiful vilage. We have enjoyed and we look forward to return in spring-summer when the weather will be better.
