Could have been better.

The bathroom certainly needed a refurb as there was mould in the grouting and the ventilation extractor was covered in dust and probably not working well, hence the mould. Also, the noise in the room was bad from 05:30 woken to deliveries, so glazing probably not as good as it could be given the location. I didn't have the breakfast that I had paid for through choice. Dinner options were limited and pricy for what they were.

Comfortable stay, great location, fantastic breakfast

The breakfast was fantastic, good quality and choice. My son was delighted to have a fresh waffle. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very good for a 2-night stay

Very good breakfast, but exactly the same every morning. The window of the room opens, so we were happy with that as we like having fresh air. It is good to have an empty mini fridge. The bathroom is small but the shower is good and it is OK for a one or 2 nights stay. We had a quiet room so we slept well.

More variety for breakfast. A king size bed would have been better, as the one we had was smaller than the one we have at our home.

The location

The heating didn’t work so it was freezing. The bed was really uncomfortable and my head felt lower than my feet and I was at an angle.

adequate for two nights hence could not be bothered to complain and relocate!

location was perfect for the ICC and local restaurants etc Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was good Hotel was clean Location was generally nice and quiet

i was booked into a disability room - the ensuite was a wet room, the floor got soaked from the shower and had to place towels on the floor to stop all of the water spreading, the wash hand basin was too low for a 6'2" person, the bed was too low, TV channels were few, no Netflix, etc, lack of tea options - no peppermint for instance! Carpets were looking tired as was the silicon in the wet room, the wash hand basin enamel is worm / pitted, toilet roll holder being on the disabled arm that needs to be lowered is not great and lack of location for a second toilet roll unless it sits on the cistern - also not great!

Room and location central to Birmingham was excellent.

Good for an overnighter

The room was awesome and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was also nice.

The shower door was weird and I was too scared to use the shower because of it. Paying for parking sucked but it is a big city so fair enough. £32.00 was a lot for parking though.

Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel

Good size clean room

The office Chair didn’t work, preventing me from comfortably working at the desk. So I asked for it to be changed, but it was just the same. Kettle wouldn’t work unless you held the button down manually. (I didn’t bother to mention it during my short stay as my mention of the chair had not been actioned. There were blue bottle flies on the fresh produce next to the hotplate. They should have been covered…very unhygienic. Room service was delivered in a paper bag like a cheap takeaway. The chips were in a melted plastic bag, which must be a health hazard. The only good thing about my stay was the staff

Near perfect, will definitely stay again

Amazing location with minimal to know noise pollution. Very comfortable room with all the amenities available; the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was lovely as it was a hot day. The staff were all very friendly and personable. Would definitely recommend

Relaxing and enjoyable.

Location and the whole relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The Staff really stood out as friendly, helpful and professional.

Average stay for a very big price tag

Great location Breakfast was good, breakfast staff were lovely

Awful bed, definitely broken. Bathroom in dire state lots of attention needed. Staff very rude, did not want to be there almost made me feel like i was a chore. (besides breakfast staff they were great) for price not worth it at all - places in same area looked in better condition. Car parking (we booked the hotel one) very expensive and really bad carpark - if you have a big car would not recommend.

Very close to Utilita Arena. Was my main purpose. Clean , comfortable & friendly, easy to get to . Approx 25 mins walk from New Street Station, 8 mins in car . Perfect.

Could’ve been better but still good

The staff , food and general vibe is lovely!

We booked the romance package and when we got there (4pm) we were unable to checkin because the room had not been sorted even though we came at midday to drop our bags early and was assured it’d be ready in an hour. We then asked for 4 soft drinks but got Prosecco instead and one of us does not drink which was a bit of a disappointment. Our AC wasn’t working but not sure if this is bc we also had our window open and the bathroom door was extremely stiff to close

Over an hour in the entrance lobby waiting to be moved to another hotel - rubbish!

The location was perfect for our needs, which is why I had booked well in advance and also paid for car parking in very close proximity.

Unfortunately we didn't make it to our room as they moved us to another hotel! We waited over an hour and were told conflicting information - also advised by the taxi that drove us to the alternative hotel that this happens often - a sad case of overbooking! If they had been honest with us and perhaps offered a discount or refunded the breakfast payment we may have softened a little at having to be moved. I am a great believer in being honest and up front, but felt we were led a merry dance.

Overall a good stay. Would book again

Staff were lovely and the location was spot on. Check in was easy. Accommodation was basic- clean and tidy.

Over £30 for breakfast if not pre paid for two of us didn't spoil the experience but was really ok. The booking states Car Parking and THERE IS NO CAR PARKING OR CONCESSIONS FOR IT- naughty really should have been clearer. Lucky we have endless amount of money (not).
