Everything, the hotel, staff and facilities were excellent. I have only one negative, the cost was way to expensive. I would stay there again in a heartbeat if the price wasn't so high.
The price, over £700 just for two nights.

mooie kamer, na update.
Mooi pand en heerlijke ligging.
Functionerende laadpaal.
Restaurant kwam nogal massaal over door de bussen met toeristen die elke dag daar overnachten.

Great location, nice view
The breakfast was terrible. Cold food, lots of tour groups

Location
Noisy floor boards on upper floor kept us awake. Choice of food not great and very expensive.

Personeel was super vriendelijk en begripvol! Zeer lekkere lunch. Heel aangename, propere spa faciliteit. Fantastische ligging.

location
We were in a ‘cottage’ outside the hotel
extremely noisy at night, not from neighbours. There was a skip style bin which was being filled during the night. Lots of banging.
Informed the staff on check out, they did offer a free breakfast but really that wasn’t why I told them. We declined a free breakfast
Food in the restaurant was not the best.

We were in the Cottage across the car park. Lovely room nicely decorated and quiet. Really central location. Staff very pleasant and friendly.
Very minor! Given location car park was busy which wasn’t surprising. But well organised and spaces at local car park.

great location, room was comfortable and the spa was a bonus.
Breakfast was poor, hot food was luke warm, fried eggs were grey and flat, scrambled were solid……

The location was great. Close to our tour meeting spot and easy access to the city
Pool opening times could have been improved. 9pm closing at night with 8:30pm last entry is quite early

Room was lovely, pool and spa area was a fantastic bonus
Breakfast was chaos, restaurant over full because breakfast booking times aren't in place. Struggled to get access to the buffet area due to volume of people, it seemed like there were large coach parties in. No eggs, no potato scones, no beans. Asked for toast and got one slice. This was the only let down of the whole trip

Excellent location, comfortable and large room. Excellent gym and pool. Lots of varieties for breakfast. There is also a fan for us which is excellent during summer month.

The Hotel is recommendable but I wouldn't recommend the cooked breakfast!!!
The breakfast was served embarrassing cold and when we asked for toast that was also served cold, we had breakfast at 09:00 so it was not as though we were late, the food is served by very young staff.

The pool and SPA were good.
Breakfast was good, but not much variety of bread.
Room was small, but it was warned when booking.
The bad thing is that the room was in the annex, 2nd floor, no lift, with narrow stairs, high steps, 48 steps.
This sucked.
Dinner, we booked at the restaurant, but they delivered the Bar & Brasserie menu, which was limited and the food was poor quality.
Failure to control pre-arranged breakfast times leads to confusion and overcrowded periods.

perfect location for Eden Court theatre and good restaurants. Staff always friendly & helpful and the valet parking is always the deal clincher!

Nice bed, room was quite big.
Too expensive in comparison to other hotels.

Overwhelmed staff and not really friendly and helpful. For these high prices we didn't expect dirty carpet on the floor with lots of stains and an unpleasant smell. Drainage in the bathtub and washbasin didn't work and took until the used dirty water and soap went away. the rooms were not what we saw in the photos and booked. other than the good location , ratios between Price and service was disappointing

The central location with parking is superb. The riverside view & walk are truly beautiful. Interesting historical building. Enticing pool. Our room was extremely comfortable. The staff are excellent. Particular mention should go to Patrick on reception & Marie whose calm efficiency managing the breakfast rush was exemplary.
We stayed for three nights & found the dining room experience at first adversely affected by tour groups. However, if one plans meal times around the tour group rush, dining is a far more relaxed affair. In fairness, we were offered a table in the bar area to avoid the crowds, but would have preferred to eat all meals in the dining room!

I like the staff , especially who work t the receipt desk name Fiona and and some guy who took me for site inspection the room. Fiona is friendly and helpful and she gave me a chance to have a look at the room first. Room is comfortable and cleanness.
It's not my thing for walking to stair instead of the lift. I guess because the building over 130 years and it's good new renovation.

I loved the spa and pool facilities. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Good to have a bar menu for a easy dinner. Excellent location for shopping, tours and lovely lakeside walks.

The breakfast was great, and the hotel very well placed
5.0
It was dead center of the old part of town. Walking distance to everything cool, surrounded by awesome restaurants, coffee shops and everything. And all guided tours leave from right in front of the building.
Castle was across the street but closed to visitors for at least another year. Being walking distance to a castle doesn;t help if it is closed. Additionally, it seems the tradeoff for location is room space. Smallest rooms we ever stayed in.

good position for going into the town. very helpful handyman sorted our tyre pressures for us. the staff were very friendly and looked happy in their work. nice to have an Ev charger. vegetables were well cooked.
disabled access isn’t great. all the ramps from the car park were poorly positioned and completely blocked by cars at times. Ev charger was a bit primitive and poorly placed. beds were hard. food, especially breakfast was mediocre, and only medium quality ingredients chosen

Swimming pool and the spa, location.
No A/C.

I loved the location, the fact that it had a Starbucks and a spa! The lobby was lovely and so were the guests.
Some of the staff. When we checked in the staff were lovely. On check out, I’d asked for a late check out because I was going to see if I could book a massage and the girl at the desk was like “the spa is usually fully booked” but I went to the spa and they were able to book me in for a treatment at 2pm (obviously I’d be away by this time). So anyway I asked for a 12 noon checkout so I’d have time to get my 7month old fed, organised and able to pack. I was happy to pay the extra anyway. On leaving I was charged £51 and I asked what for - where the girl told me it was for late check out and breakfast. We didn’t get any breakfast. So, I was paying for my late checkout in cash as I’d left my purse at a service station nearby (I got it back thankfully) but it seemed to have been an issue. I called my partner to ask for his card and I told the lady I was going to the car park to get his debit card - then she quite happily took the cash. It was very strange. Apart from that it was a lovely hotel but I wouldn’t stay there again.

The room had a great feel to it. The view of the castle was good but, unfortunately, it is under construction.
Parking was easy and even though I didn't get to use the spa, it looked very inviting. You can book for a massage.
The bathroom was a little cramped, and I couldn't find a safe.
