Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Sehr gute Lage, leckeres Frühstück, nettes hilfsbereites Personal, schöne Lobby, Poolbereich sehr eng, Pool jedoch gut.

Badewanne mit Handbrause, ohne Duschstange. Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Parkplatzproblem wie überall auf Kreta.

A wonderful introduction to Crete...hoping the rest of our stay willl be as good

The Samaria Hotel was a wonderful place to base ourselves for the start of our trip in Crete! Location was central, amenities and food were wonderful and most importantly the staff were so friendly and helpful!

The noise from the bus station could have been a problem but the sound mitigation strategies - of a waterfall at the lovely pool area and pianist at night in the lobby - employed by the architects during the design were brilliant... we didn't hear a thing!

Great location and comfortable rooms

wonderful breakfast, servers were so kind and welcoming Voula was lovely, she checked us in and oriented us to the hotel the location was perfect for walking to all the tavernas, shopping, and waterfront short car ride to a beautiful sandy beach very nice hotel you won't be disappointed

hotel is next door to the bus station so pool area can be a bit noisy however rooms have soundproofing so we slept very well no complaints we enjoyed our stay

Superb, would return without doubt!

Excellent location, fantastic staff who were always eager to help and suggest places to visit or eat, ways to get there. The food was very good and reasonably priced, we were supplied with towels for the beach, and they even sorted our car rental for us.

The only negative for me was the bed. It was extremely soft and I found it uncomfortable to rest.

An oasis in Chania

The hotel is a little oasis in Chania and walking distance to everything. As a solo traveller feeling safe was a high priority and this definitely ticked all the boxes. All staff were lovely and accommodating. The piano was played in the evenings and added to the charm. A great range of books on Chania and Crete in a variety of languages to enjoy reading while sitting back in the comfy lounges. I enjoyed my time immensely. A huge plus was the bus depot next door which meant when I wanted to head to Rethymno I walked for 2 minutes, booked my ticket and headed off in air conditioned comfort.

I would've liked some information on getting to the hotel from the port. I came by ferry and didn't realise the old Chania port is a long way from the ferry port. I ended up finding a taxi, but next time would organise one to meet me at the ferry.

Nothing too much trouble

The Samaria is a good hotel made excellent by its staff. We found that nothing was too much trouble for them. They were always there with a pleasant smile and an answer for whatever you needed

There is little to criticise the Samaria for. The pool could be bigger or the hotel could be in a more picturesque location but, to be honest, if you said that to the staff, they'd try and fix it for you!

Nice clean comfortable room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool and associated toilet shower changing room is excellent. Breakfast was delicious.

Good

The room was renovated, clean and had all necessary ammenities. Staff was friendly and professional. Overall the hotel surpassed my expecations.

Although the room service menu said 7am to 12am, when we called to request some fruit at 11pm we were told that food is only served until 11pm. After that it is only drinks.

Exceptional service. Hotel staff is very courteous and friendly. The location is perfect, centrally located. Rooms are clean with balcony, great views esp at night.

Nothing. Just the shower rain in the bathroom was hard to adjust. Tried approx 5 minutes and ended up calling the front desk for help.

The breakfast was fantastic; great selection of fresh Greek and Mediterranean delicious food. Good location as it is 2 minutes to the old town and the harbour. Modern and comfortable rooms with everythingyouneed. Staff are helpful and professional; I did appreciate the fact all of them were wearing masks.

The swimming pool area feels a bit crowded.

Modern hotel with lovely staff close to everything in Chania.

Clean, modern, and walk to everything in downtown Chania.

Pool area doubles as breakfast seating, so you can not use the pool until almost noon. The parking lot doubles as a bus depot, so depending on your room location, you may hear your groups leaving at 7am.

Nice hotel, with nice staff, serving a nice breakfast. Pool situation let’s it down a bit.

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff all helpful. Location was good for shops, harbour and beach.

Small pool with only a few sun beds and people leaving towels on them mostly unattended. The hotel have enough staff to control this better and remove towels to free up the sun beds.

Amazing

Everything lived up to- or exceeded expectations. Except from the shower cleaning.

The cleaning of the shower was very nice, but one thing was wrong. The drain was filled… that was very nasty. Everything else was excellent!
