Nice stay

We had a 2 bedrooms apartments with very nice view on swimming pool, and canal.

A little bit noisy at the beginning of the day

Bon hôtel mais le personnel inefficace

Le petit déjeuner et très bien présenté quand il y a quelqu’un pour vous servir.

Le personnel invisible. Et pour manger ils ont un menu mais pas les produits pour réaliser les plat. Seul point positif le logement bien placé.

was not as it looked online, disappointing.

not a great deal.

Wifi was terrible, was quite dirty ants everywhere, towels were not very clean and old bedding and beds uncomfortable. staff were not easily available when trying to contact.

A peaceful hidden gem.

The dinner I had at the restaurant was very good. I liked the use of the canoe and canoeing on the Lagoon. Very peaceful.

The WiFi was patchy in my room. I had to go outside to receive it.

Lovely small resort

Lovely small resort not far from the city. The staff is so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We loved our room and the views over the lagoon. It's such a pretty place. The restaurant's menu offers a small but good selection of meals and everything we had was excellent. We are coming back to Vanuatu in January and will definitely stay at the Tropicana again.

I love the setting and the proximity to the lagoon and village life.

Setting Has character Simple and not commercialised Restaurant and chef Self catering facilities

General environmental hazards and falls risks around steps, paths and levels etc consistent with Vanuatu standards.

Beautiful staff, beautiful location on the lagoon and spacious apartment.

The staff are amazing, they're friendly, warming and very kind. Our apartment was spacious and we had a superb view over the pool, restaurant and lagoon. We liked the easy access to the lagoon and was able to kayak one day.

We could not access the TV channels due to Efate TV system being upgraded. This took 5 days and we would have liked to have watched the Olympics at night.

This is a star accomodation. The price is not bad but it should really be clear that if doesn’t offer look like on the

I can tell that it used to be beautiful but it’s not like what ons on the pictures . Very disappointed f. This is not 4 star at all

Biggest accommodation mistake ever.

Everything !!! The pictures are a lie they are 20 years old, The place is in disrepair, run down, filthy. The hosts didn't even offer us water after 2 cyclones even when there was no tap water after the cyclones and no power for the entire time after the cyclones and didn't even offer to take into town for supplies we had to catch taxis everyday. No generator on site even knowing in advance that a cyclone was expected. They didn't give us torches, they only gave us a couple of candles after the first cyclone. The beds were stained, uncomfortable, damaged and old. They call themselves a resort yet there were very few staff to be seen. The bathroom leaked was putrid, pieces missing from the vanity, stained toilet and the bathroom was not cleaned at all. There is only one key, that in it's self is slack beyond words and dangerous. The safe was new and not set up to work and she just gave us the instructions to do it ourselves. The fans were rusty. There are just too many things to list. My advice, DO NOT go there.

location … ease to transport …ability to have a 2 bedroom apartment… staff were friendly and welcoming

furniture in lounge area not functional for a family of 4 to sit and enjoy / relax - might be okay for short visit but for week long break it needs upgrading … bathroom / shower functionality was not at the standard expected of this price point

The view from our room, the balcony, the chef for dinner, the staff are really helpful. Kim and her partner were great. The chef was our favourite!

It is extremely overpriced for what you get. The rooms are big but ours was full of ants, we even had them in our bed. The beds are so uncomfortable so hard to get a good rest. We tried to book the breakfast package (but never happened 🤷🏾‍♀️) which is only available for an hour or so. And is only toast, cereal and fruit. We also booked airport transfers which never arrived. While the chef is amazing, he's only available for dinner, you can't get a meal before that or purchase any snacks from there in between meals, so you need to do a grocery shop even if you're travelling without children. Limited bar options as well. Great place for older couples or if you don't mind an uncomfortable bed, lots and lots of quiet time, and cooking your own breakfast and lunch.

Great location and perfect communication with the staff

Great communication with manager Kim, super friendly staff, amazing location - not far from Port Vila, garden is beautiful and clean. We were surprised by delicious food at their restaurant. That was a great choice and we will recommend it to everyone!

Great location

I liked the location of Tropicana Lagoon, very convenient to visit the main area in Port Vila with the market, businesses, near to the coastal walk by transport, near to some nice restaurants. I loved the view from my room directly to the lagoon, and the balcony was nice to take a coffee enjoying the landscape.. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant is convenient to get some meals there at night or the breakfast. The pool is nice. The decoration and white colours on the walls plus the green from the nature, give a relaxing feeling. Everything was clean and they have staff cleaning and tidying your room.

WiFi was not good, so if someone has to work some hours or study, get your own data, or check it out in advance.

Very friendly staff, a little dated.

The managers at the hotel were very friendly and were very happy to accommodate us. The location itself was very nice and was great for kayaking. Would be good if you wanted something outside of town and didn’t want to be in Port Vila.

The hotel was expensive for what you actually got. The facilities were a bit run down and the bathroom was not up to the price of what we paid. As a couple we wanted to be walking distance to town but thought it was a little too far away. Despite it being easy to catch a bus in it was still a little annoying. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Port Vila it is a great spot.

Good potential

Desperately needs renovating but has great potential. The lovely manager told us that this is in progress so we are curious to see what it is like then.

Doors and lights not working properly, tap water didn't taste good.

Worth staying once again!

The restaurant in the resort is has really good chef. Cooked us amazing dishes which we really liked. . Nice warm pool which is always kept clean . The hosts are very kind and answer any questions you have to ask . They have 5-6 kayaks and 1 stand paddling board . Real nice rooms to stay with all amenities required except for ironing board.

The room we were provided had faulty fan, bathroom door and had ants everywhere in the wardrobe. Although upon request we were given a better room, first impression of them not maintaining the room was a drawback. However the room we changed to was amazing and met our expectations as per photos on booking.com.
