A nice seafront stay

The room was very pleasant with a great sea view. Hearing the waves was so relaxing. The bathroom was very nice. I liked the pebble shower floor on my feet. I enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant looking out to the sea.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable. They could do with updating. The walls were not that soundproof.

Zimmer mit Meerblick buchen, sonst muss man sein Gepäck Treppen hinauf hieven.

Leider war unser Zimmer nur über eine sehr lange Treppe erreichbar. Ein Hotel sollten schon einen Lift haben.

Cleanliness (there was hair in the shower and dust and grime in the bathroom; the window fittings were rotted off and the paintwork was tired and worn. Very worn and dated.

One of the best accommodations in Hokitika, loved it and hope to be back again.

Fabulous Hotel, excellent location, beautiful comfortable room with views of the waves rolling in.Would definitely stay here again.The onsite restaurant was wonderful.

Very comfortable if passing through Hokitika again would certainly consider staying at the hotel.

We were only there to sleep. the room was ideal.

A great stay and will definitely recommend to friends and to book again next time.

We booked a room with seaview (balcony attached) and we were lucky enough to watch the sunset in the room while enjoying nice wine. The size of the room exceeded our expectation and it was a super comfortable stay for one night. Even though it was a hotel room setup without cooking facilities but everything was so nice ~ ~

Perhaps the price is relatively higher at the area but worth the money.

Love everything here

Loved the staff on arrival They changed our room to make it easier with my disabilities without me asking Room was so very clean. Cleanest shower I have seen in a motel in many years. Bed comfy. Parking easy. Facilities spotless.

Close to shops and beach, in-house restaurant, all the amenities we needed and convenient.

No lift. Not fun lugging tonnes of luggage up stairs. I don't think elderly would cope getting up there with their bags. I had to assist most of our group.

The view from our room was beautiful. Loved looking out onto the ocean.

We enjoyed our stay but our room even though looked out onto the ocean lacked atmosphere. There were glasses to have a glass of wine but no plates if you wanted to have cheese and crackers.

Ocean Heaven

Loved the location. Listening to that see breeze at night was amazing. On arrival we ended up having a Gastro bug. The staff were so accommodating. Made it so easy to add an extra night in the same room.

Best on offer in Hokitika. But Hokitika is not worth visiting

In centre of town. Early check-in. Friendly staff

Not very clean windows opened onto a weird leader feel like anyone could get into you room, expensive for what it was. This whole town was stick in the mid 90s nad coffee bad food. Don't bother visiting.

Close to the beach and township

Room 110. There was no cold water from the bathroom tap, we had to use the water from the shower for cold drinking water. The room had a fan it it that would just blow the hot air about. Next to an outside door that would slam shut everytime someone went in and out. A pair of socks that werent ours were under the bed. The fridge in the room was frozen over so not working too full effect Mould on the bathroom blind and windowsill

Gorgeous views!

Great views with the ocean front room. Great location. Just across from the New World grocery and has a bottle shop on property.

long walk to the room in the ocean front wing, didn’t bother us but could be a challenge for some.
