Very enjoyable break - the best place to stay on Arran

Great breakfast, great location, stylish, tastefully decorated rooms and modern spa facilities, all within walking distance of awesome mountains and scenery. Great evening meals in both restaurants too.

Mattress was too firm for me.

Beautiful stay

Beautiful resort with multiple different room types and restaurants, two pools, spa facilities and other activities. Quick drive from the ferry terminal and supermarkets/shops. There is a shuttle if needed. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. Parking was available, although depending on which building you were in it could be difficult to find a space close to your room. The staff were really friendly.

I was mildly disturbed by the noise of footsteps from the people upstairs, and it was very warm (due to the excellent weather), although there was a fan to use which helped. I didn’t keep the windows open at night due to midges.

This is a large resort full of families at this time of year.

There are three restaurants on site and two indoor swimming pools. Easy parking available on site.

I asked for a quiet room but was allocated a room opposite the lift and entrance where I could hear everything. Then they moved me to a room that had an adjoining door where the sound of the couple next door was audible. Finally I was moved to a ground floor room where the people above could be heard walking on the floorboards. I don’t think it has been properly sound insulated. The tapas restaurant was overpriced and poor quality pretentious food. It’s a pity there are no views of the sea from the hotel but the upstairs room had a lovely view of the mountain.

Could have been terrific but because we didn’t get a lot of sleep our trip was spoiled

Location,staff..room very comfortable and clean

We were kept awake from 6am by a lot of noise from the room above.When we told the duty manager the next day very little was offered to compensate for the lack of sleep.

The retreats are wonderful. Perfect inside and out!

Little disappointed in the menu at brambles . Because we had the dog it was the only place we could take him. Rather disappointing that more places don't allow animals.

the views from the property were top class. when staying in spa resort you had access to the leisure facilities which was an added bonus. everything was clean and tidy and any staff I came across were 10/10

Wonderful.

Our retreat was fabulous. Amazing views and so nicely furnished and fitted out. Also liked the pool and sauna/steam. It’s not a cheap break but my money goes towards supporting employment and local businesses on a very small island. I was struck by the evident solidarity of many local businesses on Arran who seem to support each other and the local community - this is important in difficult times.

Combo oven/grill/microwave not easy for me to programme and the guide was difficult to use on a mobile phone - on reflection should have asked for a printed copy. Nice to have a nespresso machine but I wasn’t impressed with it. Note that I am unreasonably picky about my coffee! Hot tub takes a long time and attention feeding the wood burner to get hot enough to sit in so I gave up after 20 mins and let the fire go out. But these are minor things, the retreats are fab. Pay someone £30 to heat the hot tub for you if it’s your thing.
