First impressions were that this motel was old style on a busy road but don't let that put you off. We had the two bedroom, one bathroom spa unit number 3. On entering we noticed that the heaters had been put on for us and that it felt very welcoming. Nothing in the unit was old and dingy. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable, electric blankets, good sized bathroom with modern equipment. Liked the thought that went into the decor throughout the apartment, from choice of wall colour to decent furniture. The kitchenette was well equipped and supply of tea, coffee etc was not mingy. Reception was smiling and communication was excellent. There are a number of restaurants in close walking distance. Access and parking very good. easy access to the airport - 10 minutes by car. This is one of the best apartments of this type [city] I have stayed in.

Conveniently located for Hagley Park activities

There are a lot of motels in this area, but this one is very well presented and very clean. The staff are very friendly. Excellent location for Saturday morning parkrun in Hagley Park and/or visiting the Botanical Gardens. The rooms near the road are possibly noisy but the one we were in at the back was very quiet. The unit was very clean and well equipped.

Outside, the private patio area smelled of cat pee. Perhaps there are neighbourhood cats using the area at the back of the motel as a litter box.

5 star service in a fabulous family motel

Absolutely fantastic motel, 5 star service, immaculately clean, comfy beds, superb customer service. Working late on a cold construction site we arrived back every night to find lights and heatpump had been turned on, and setting off to work this morning at 7am we found a bucket of warm water with a jug outside for us to clear the ice from our windscreen. We ALWAYS stay here when working in Christchurch, superb family run business.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike!

Fantastic motel, spotlessly clean, warm and cosy, nice coffee etc. It was freezing in Christchurch and every evening someone had put on lights and heater for us to return to a lovely gesture. Always stay here when in Christchurch.

Perfectly adequate for a one night stay.

Well located. Excellent off street parking. Hostess was very welcoming and the unit comfortable enough.

Bedding was a little dated and toilet hadn't been cleaned in preparation for our visit. The bowl was soiled on arrival. Paid for a spa bath and got back from the concert to find you couldn't use it after 9.00 pm.

The room was well presented and the bathroom was well stocked.

Bed was uncomfortable and we were charged incorrectly for a bottle of wine but this was rectified eventually.

Helpful local information especially about eating places. Enjoyed the spa! Good sized room.

We appreciated the 'clean green image'. It would be helpful to know what to do with recyclable rubbish. Having Netflix or similar available would be good!
