Lovely short stay

The hotel location was ideal with easy access to the sea front via the lift tram around the corner and a short walk from various places to eat in the evening. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a good selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The breakfast was also delicious! :-)

It would have been nice to have a bottle of water each rather than one small bottle to share. Note: there is a shop a short walk away to get more water or other supplies if required. Finding a parking space was a bit of a challenge, but there are plenty of options available as advised in the property details.

Thoroughly enjoyed a few days in Scarborough, and the hotel suited our needs perfectly.

Excellent location for exploring Scarborough, close to Victorian funicular railway to take you to and from the beach, and a stone's throw from the main shopping area. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again if in Scarborough.

Ear plugs are provided to fend off the noise of the seagulls, but we only found them noisy during the day - no problem getting to sleep at night.

Loved the location and the hotel. Would go back again. Parking was outside hotel and for £5 could get a all day permit f

The landlady was very nice. We got a room upgrade on arrival which was a lovely surprise.

Good service thoughtful staff, location ideal. Quiet late evening.

Old style lift doors mum couldn't pull them shut. I managed fine but others may struggle.

Customers rowing through the night I did tell the man on the desk he said he had not heard the rows (goodness knows how he did n't) it went on through the Saturday night he barely apologised when I mentioned it the next morning not really interested Also plumbing/sewerage problem foul smelling bathroom

Breakfast not included in price had to pay extra, when at Breakfast waitresses hovering about all the time was uncomfortable. Bedding smelt fusty.

Great location comfortable bed worth paying extra for room on the front .

The gentleman on reception . Although generally helpful did not offer to help me with our bags so I struggled up and down stairs while my husband went to park the car .

Breakfast great, property clean and good location.

Bed although queen size was very hard and uncomfortable. Windows draughty enough to move very heavy curtains which made room in winter very cold. Bathroom was so cold that we had to put towels on tiled floor so that we cold walk on them.
