Perfect!

Extremely cozy and smart decoration. Room was spacious clean and the bed very comfortable. Great view from our room. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Perfect location. Highly recommend staying there.

Zimmer-Ausstattung deutlich mangelhaft

Sehr bequeme Betten, jeweils zwei Kissen pro Person vorhanden. Tolle Lage, man ist zu Fuss rasch im Zentrum oder am Hafen. Sehr freundliches, professionelles Personal an der Réception/Bar. Es gibt einen Billardtisch im Bar-Bereich und das Ambiente ist wunderbar. In unserer Junior Suite hatten wir eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit Kapseln und Tassen zur Verfügung. Top Sauberkeit im Zimmer.

Wir haben für die drei Nächte fast EUR 1000 bezahlt und waren insgesamt mit der Leistung nicht zufrieden. Im Bad fehlten: Abfalleimer, Kosmetiktücher, Ablagefläche (es gibt null und nichts, man muss seine Kosmetika/Taschen/Kleidung auf den Boden schmeissen). Problemlos könnten einige Regale und weitere Haken befestigt werden, damit man Ablage- und Aufhängmöglichkeiten hätte. Trotz entsprechender Angaben auf Booking hatten wir in der Junior Suite weder eine Minibar, noch einen Safe. Ein Kühlschrank wurde uns auf Nachfrage am zweiten Tag gebracht. Ein Fenster im Schlafbereich schliesst nicht richtig, sodass es im Zimmer ständig etwas kalten Luftzug gab. Man konnte sich mit Heizung hochdrehen behelfen. Es gibt keine richtige Tür vom Zimmer zum Bad, sondern nur eine Art Schiebetür, die nicht komplett verschliesst. Mit Toilettenprivatsphäre ist da nichts. Die Dusche ist halb offen, sodass beim Duschen automatisch Wasser ins restliche Bad spritzt. Wir haben einen grossen Spiegel vermisst, wie ihn günstigere Hotels sogar in kleinen Zimmern standardmässig haben. Das Frühstück war schwach: Kaum Sitzplätze, überheizter Raum, wenig Auswahl, alle Brotscheiben gefroren (es sei üblich, sie zu toasten). Keine richtige Butter vorhanden. Geschätzt haben wir hingegen sehr, dass uns auf Bitte kostenlos ein ausgezeichneter Cappuccino zubereitet wurde.

Very enjoyable with a great location and very attractive hotel.

The room was very nice and as a bonus, we got an upgrade when we checked in, which was a nice surprise. The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from and very tasty.

The only downside with the room is it could have some place to hang bathroom towels.

I’d go back in a heartbeat!!

Good location, great breakfast, beautiful lounge area, super nice staff (loved the uniforms!) and good parking.

Uncomfortable stay

Location was nice. The breakfast spread was very good.

The hotel and rooms were incredibly warm. There was a window that could be cracked, but that did not do much. Our thermometer we had with us read in excess of 80F (19C). I had trouble sleeping due to warmth. The breakfast room was so hot, we sweated through the meal(but food was good). Multiple things were broken in the room, including the toilet seat. The small shelf behind the sink was gone, giving nowhere to put toiletries due to the large glasses and soap dispenser. Very limited space to hang any towels. The bathroom was so small that the extra toilet paper was hanging on a suspended rod in main room. This was also where we had to hang towels. Having two suitcases was an extremely tight fit.

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable stay in a fantastic location in Iceland.

Great location, near port and 5 min from airport, near restaurants and other attractions. Friendly stafff looking to help with suggestions. Definitely will be back.

Jeder Zeit wieder!

Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fjord, Kaffeemaschine, zuvorkommendes Personal, schöner Barbereich, sehr individuell eingerichtet. Auch das Frühstücksbüffet konnte sich sehen lassen. Leider hatten wir keine Gelegenheit das Restaurant zu besuchen. Wir haben es einfach zu spät bemerkt und keinen Tisch mehr bekommen.

Die Hotelbesitzer haben sich letztlich bemüht, dass ich zufrieden war.

Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, allerdings klein. Weil zz. meines Aufenthalts das halbe Hotel eine Baustelle war und auf Booking nicht darauf hingewiesen wurde, habe ich den halben Preis zurückerstattet bekommen.

Bei meinem Aufenthalt war das halbe Hotel eine Baustelle. Deshalb war es lärmig und staubig. Zudem war der Frühstücksraum viel zu klein und deshalb überfüllt.

La chambre et la salle de bain un peu petite mais très fonctionnelles. L’entrée du bâtiment n’est pas bien indiquée avec les travaux

Small room not made for staying in… find a different place

It wasn’t a bad location .. at the end of a street that was 5 min walk to restaurants

There is currently construction to the property and across the street from it. Value for the money was the worst I’ve ever seen. You could not open the door to the room if your luggage was open, there was actually no room to have luggage in that room. If you’re over 6’ forget about being able to lay under the covers as the one provided is too short. The bathroom is a JOKE. You get water everywhere as the shower curtain is two pieces. Got to have the door open to use the toilet. I would not recommend to anyone. Find a different hotel if you want value for the money.

Avoid this establishment

The town is very charming and attractive

Surrounded on three sides by building activity. Bathroom poorly designed. No staff available to answer queries. One person ( woman) we came across by accident in the breakfast room/restaurant was charmless and unhelpful. Emailed queries through the booking.com app link but no effective reply during our stay of 5 nights. Very unclear information about breakfast options which did not correspond with information on their own website Broken unstable furniture in the lounge part of our accommodation which should be condemned

No contact check in. Very small gem amongst alot of not so good options. Rooms are very small but nicely decorated and pretty clean. Free mini bar with water and candy.

The tv does not work. The water does smell bad. That's Iceland, though, and not the hotels fault

A Nice Hotel that could use some updates

Easy self check-in. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice touch to have drinks in snack in bar fridge. Good central location.

1. Outside stairs to hotel room is very dangerous. Wood plank steps haphazardly put together with construction crew working around. Almost tripped down the stairs. The rise and depth of each step is inconsistent. A long level used by crewmen leaning on wall by stair fell almost hitting my partner. 2. No elevator to 4th floor makes bringing up luggage difficult . 3. Shower stall poorly designed as water floods out of the shower and floors completely wet, with water getting out of the washroom. 4. Rooms extremely small.

Disappointing

Location was the highlight of this location. The pin to access your room allows check in at any time which is fantastic when you’re on a road trip and your arrival time may change

No blackout blinds with the midnight sun was an odd choice. We only had one interaction with staff and it was not great. We really wanted to visit the farm that opens

Super location within walking distance of shops, eateries and all that Akureyri has to offer.

Although the room had an unusual layout, it had everything we needed. Very comfortable beds.

Everything was 'virtual', in that we had no contact with any staff. While this is not necessarily a bad thing, it could have been a problem if we had had any issues that needed addressing. Thankfully we had an uneventful stay.

A nice, private apartment close to town to take a break from the Ring Road.

Great location, close to city centre and felt very private. laundry in the apartment was nice. Well stocked kitchen was a plus.

Nice place with Great Breakfast!

The hotel is nice, and the room size is good. There is staff nearby to assist. I love the restaurant. We are given complimentary breakfast even though our reservation does not include. The breakfast was very great!

Just initially was confused since no staff around during check in.
