I had a great stay... service was very good. hotel crew were super friendly and the hotel was fantastic.

Beach club amenities
Staff was disorganized and incompetent when it came to the final room charges - incorrectly charged several items several times, without me signing off. Had to reconcile with them as I saw the charges directly on my credit card statements. Staff got frustrated when I asked for itemized bills, and were not able to clarify how or why incorrect charges were made.

I loved my room. I loved the decor. I loved the location of this place and loved the beach. The staff was super attentive and it was very homey/ .Breakfast was delicious too and served in front of the ocean. I loved it
I loved everything except that I had to go home!!

I loved my stay at Amansala. The room was full of details with big closet space, and great style. I love the deck area to have a meal or a drink. I booked the smallest room and paid a bit more to get a larger room and it was so worth it. Breakfast was big and fresh. Feels really homey yet they take care of your needs like a 5-star resort. I will definitely come back. Loved the location as you are just a few minutes from the happening bars and restaurants but not in the middle of the noisy part of Tulum. They have great massages on site too.
I loved everything about this place! I wish I could have stayed longer.

The best part of this resort was the beach. After a day the seaweed cleared some and we were able to swim. The views of the ocean, the sunsets and the sunrises were such a dream!
We found out that our initial reservation was dropped which was momentarily devastating since we were arriving the next day. The hotel suggested an option that cost twice as much (that was nice of them). We recovered and rebooked. Upon arrival, Angel, working at the front desk was yelling at his staff to take our luggage to the room. He was very controlling and negative. Not someone you want representing the front of the house. Not good vibes.
Entering our room, we were greeted with a giant dead cockroach (that was inviting). Nothing like the original room we booked. This was cramped, dark, uninviting and dirty (the walls were off white but had been stained when cleaned). Maybe change the color. Needless to say, we spent as much time outside of the room as possible.
The rest of the staff was very nice and accommodating. I would suggest not scanning their WhatsApp. They send countless messages. When I'm on vacation I don't look at my phone.
We plan on visiting again but definitely a different hotel along the beach. Walking the beach we found other places we would like to explore.

location - on beach strip
breakfast was meant to be included but we ended up paying $12 for two Cappuccinos, staff did not make us aware of this when ordering.

The resort stated on their page that Transportation was included to the airport and it was not. Transportation to the airport was an additional $350.00 dollars plus tips.
Also, the resort stated that breakfast is included and it was not. Only coffee and tea was available in the morning.
The room did not have AC included until 9pm anytime earlier to utilize the AC was an additional fee of $35.00 dollars.
The room did not have a small refrigerator which is essencial to store water or any food.
Cleanness - sand everywhere upon arrival by the bed near the wall and in the bathroom.
Spa was not included either as it is stated in their website of the resort selected room package.
The resort is located in front of the beach, they do not clean all of the excessive seaweed in front on the resort as the others.
The only great and recommended service of the resort was the restaurant, amazing food and waiters.
Garden and rooftop fitness center was cute.
It could have been better if we were notified before booking that transportation neither breakfast or Air conditioner was included, because for $180 dollars a night plus taxes there are many other better options on the strip of tulum beach.

Amansala is the perfect place for solo travelers. The location and the resort are beautiful. The food is amazing. You feel safe all the time. Lots of activities and treatments are offered. I can highly recommend to do one of the retreats. The best part are the people, you clearly can see that they love their job and they do everything to make your stay perfect. I felt immediately at home. It was my first but for sure not my last stay at Amansala.
For some things you can see the signs of time, but you also see that they are constantly working on replacing and improving things.

Food was delicious ( afternoon, night) especially the mixed ceviche.
I found a cockroach in my bedroom. Light/electricity was constantly gone. The lady in front desk was not very friendly, someone not approachable. At night, constant construction noises. Breakfast could have more options. Beach was not very clean if you compare it to many beaches in Cancun.

I liked the room and the cleaniness
The staff was really rude when we arrived, a guy named Angel was extremely rude saying we didn’t fully pay for the room and was trying to overcharge us after I had already paid for the room since January.
He made me cry and it was a horrible experience

The beach club was amazing. I loved the vegan options on the menu and all the activities you could join in on. The beach is very picturesque. Nice shampoo and conditioner in the rooms.
I hate to be negative but I don’t feel feel this hotel is worth the money. One thing I will never do again is prepay! To begin with I was charged more because my flight was cancelled so I had to pay a rebooking fee of $75 dollars for missing the first two nights of my stay. After a nightmare journey (17 hours) I arrived at the hotel a few hours before the check in time. Even though the room was available I was charged I think $45 dollars to check in early. Everything seems to be $10 dollars.. to hire the bikes, to get water, to get ice to your room. You also have to pay if you want juice with your breakfast. It is already expensive to stay there. My room smelt of mould and was very tiny and dark. I could hear everything in the rooms both next to me ( two American girls talking) and below me ( a couple who I could hear showering and chatting). The noise from the road was bad and also other rooms slamming their doors. Luckily I had ear plugs but I was still got woken up multiple times in the evening and morning. I had a garden room view and it looked nothing liked the pictures. There are no other restaurants to walk to and you need a car or to bike to go anywhere else. Groups were doing shots by the bar and it had a very young party vibe. I don’t mind this but I expected it to be more of a retreat atmosphere. The what’s app communication was attentive but not the front desk, who seemed rude. I would go for the day here to visit the club but not to stay I am afraid. I moved further down the strip and found much better value places.

The location was good, breakfast was also good.
The staff were so rude, our water pressure was horrible, we complained no one came up the first day they gave us an extra gallon of water we were washing so we used that to rinse ourselves off. We speak Spanish front desk said maybe they didn’t understand you. They didn’t fix the room till the day before we were leaving. Even with AC that they charge you for, it’s still extremely hot. The staff I’m guessing brought their own Pets to work, one or their dogs was in the pool swimming laying on the chairs it was not okay.

Beach access about a minute from the room.
Breakfast was fabulous
Loved the decor and how the whole place has been designed.
Value for the price.
The classes offered were just two in the morning so we didn't get a chance to try out the ice-bath or any of the classes due to availability.

The food was pretty incredible. Super fresh and delicious! The best we had on our trip. The bartenders and waiters were so personable. The property is warm, authentic and beautiful without trying too hard. Morning yoga upstairs in the veranda facing the ocean was an incredible way to start each day. The yoga instructor Kun was a character. Definitely a snack to feast your eyes upon and the quintessential yogi one thinks of when visiting a wellness resort. Regarding the rooms, our favorite parts were: the mosquito netting on beds, hammock in room, size of room, patio, charming details like shell on the patio, back yard behind our casita, concrete floors were smart and cool. It was visually pleasing. We upgraded to air conditioning all day vs. 9am-9pm for $25/day. The resort itself is at the beginning of the strip and a bit away from the action but perfect if you’re trying to get away from everything. It has a calm ambience. Neither lavish nor chintzy. It was somewhere in the middle.
NO ATMS ANYWHERE SO BRING SOME CASH BROKEN DOWN INTO SMALLER BILLS. Some places only took cash and yet there are no ATMs in the ones that we found were broken or charged $40 fee. Nobody tells you that! Also because of the septic system you have to throw the toilet paper into the trash regardless if you do number one or number two. Room: Rain came through the window sills and from ceiling, leaving puddles. We had to use the rugs and towels to soak up the water. Continued all night. No hot water on last night. Filtered water unit was outside in the heat so we never had cold water. There is an abundance of seaweed on the beach that you have to climb over and lots of seaweed in the water making it look brown so we had no desire to swim in the water. Further down in front of some of the properties it was much better.

beautiful place and very nice staff. Shower had a good water pressure and very nice shower gels.
Mosquito nets have also been provided.
The only down side was that you had to pay for air conditioning during day time and no variety in breakfast.

The room was a lovely one, there are a AC and much space. This hotel has a really cool areas for yoga, workouts, heat training etc! The beach are is wonderful. The pool is nice. Breakfast is good and also the Restaurant!
The beach are was wonderful, they had a lot of different opinions for sunbathing.
Drinks in the bar wasn´t our taste, but the food was really nice! The location is good, but you have to walk to get to the main Tulum beach Restaurant-bars-clubs area. But you will find also everything that you need nearby!

The property and location are top quality for Tulum. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Beautifully designed rooms with all Tulum boho beach vibes.
There was a stomach virus going on in the hotel and both my partner and I got it. The hotel was transparent informing us about this when we did the check-in and even though we took all precautions, we still got infected.
Though, the hotel staff responded very well. A doctor was available that came up to our room to treat me, as well as we saw laboratory staff taking samples of all foods, water and even the water in the swimming pool to find the root of the problem. I wish I hadn't got sick during my 4 stay vacation, but we were taken care of properly.
2.5 / 5.0
The area was calm.
The airoconditioner was smelly and it is working only part of the time. You can hear all of your neighbor very clearly so sleeping depends of them. There were no frige.
