Quality of room was disappointing, breakfast was execellent

The location was good, approximately a 10 minute walk from the centre. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the reception staff were friendly and spoke good English.

The windows/doors were not well insulated and all noise from guests was heard all night. Also, the city seemed to smell of smoke/burning and this always managed to get into the room which gave us a headache and made sleeping hard.

What's not to like!

We liked everything at the Refugio Ecológico Arequipa: location, staff, it was quiet, clean, good breakfast, hot water. The private entrance had plenty of space for parking our motorcycle too.

nice outdoor seating space upstairs.

plug sockets were wobbly and sparked. staff tried to charge us IGB tax and we had to argue out of it multiple times.

Good hotel close enough to city center

The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has a good proximity to the city center.

The staff while available and professional wasn't very friendly and inviting. Still, they did their job.

Quiet corner of Arequipa

lovely quiet surroundings. Big spacious room, comfy bed and very friendly staff, they even let us check in early with no extra charge!

you need to walk 15-20min to the city centre, it’s not too long but there is a lot of traffic over the bridge so the fumes are strong

Convenient location to reach by wall to Arequipa center !

Nicely situated to visit Arequipa center ! Convenient place - bed & bathroom ok !

Breakfast location & content limited, no evidence for Eco Lodge. Pictures from booking are a bit over selling the place !

Ok, but next time we would stay somewhere else.

The central location was very nice.

- we felt not safe when showering due to all the electricity cables in the shower area. this was not safe! - no outside window in the room - construction works were busy just right next to our room

Very good

We had a nice room with a good shower with hot water. Portable heaters are available, but you may have to ask because they are not present in every room. There is a rooftop terrace were you can eat your breakfast or you can eat it downstairs. Breakfast is a buffet so there is plenty and it is good. It is a quiet neighbourhood and a 10 minute walk to the center of Arrequipa.

There is no laundry service while it is stated in the facilities that there is. They did redirect us to a laundry nearby.

They have a good location

We arranged a mountain view room, the window was small, with partial view of a part of the mountain. It´s ridiculous to charge extra for something like that.

peaceful and happy place.

the feel that you’re in the middle of nature. the trees, canopy trees of flowers. that you advocate for preserving the tradition of traditional tres puntas arequipeño bread. walking distance to many places of interest.

keep advocating eco practices. for instance, avoid the mini shampoo/ conditioner in plastic and rather install a container and simply refill. we’ll continue supporting eco friendly stays.

Very good location, comfortable rooms, good breakfast.

There was a construction site on the side that was a bit noisy. I was expecting a bit more green areas and facilities like the bar being bigger.
