Perfect, especially for the price

Clean beds, clean showers, secure lockers, really easy to find and super nice staff.

Not all lockers are the same size, doors on bathrooms didn't feel very secure, only small things.

Calm and comfortable place in a great location!

Very clean and calm hostel, rooftop is a big plus!

Don't expect social events like in some other hostels, this one is more like for chilling

Lovely stay

The Hostel is very cozy anf lovely. Room is nicely arranged. Nothing fancy but just enough. Bathroom is always clean and well maintained. Self checkin is easy and convenient. The location is good as well, you can get to either side of Sliema on foot.

Soundproofing is not good. The guests next door can be very loud at 1 or 2 in the morning.

rooms are way too crowded. would rather pay more for less people in room. get rid of the bush button showers!

BEST COMFY HOSTEL ON MALTA

I love this hostel. I felt there like at home there. I found so many great people from the whole world. Thanks to girls, that work there. Stephania, Nadya, Elena, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. These workers make this the best atmosphere in the hostel. Also it was always clean. There are very clean bathrooms, rooms. For this price, it’s perfect option. I will come again and again.

Simply sensational and amazing

This is by far the best Hostel I've ever been to: pretty cheap, but excellent services. Nice, comfortable and clean rooms, an amzin living room and kitchen, forthcoming staff etc... I'm still a little incredulous because it exceeded my expectations that were shaped by other hostels that aren't as good as this

Comfy hostel in good location

Good location, easily access the area in all directions. Liked the secure door code system although not always the easiest to get in!

The contactless check in worked well but it was weird having no staff most of the time. But I guess that's what lots of places are doing these days.

the mattresses need exchanging upgrading for new ones as they r worn off too soft if u have a bad back a bit uncomfortable the lack of a big fridge with a big freezer in the common area kitchen downstairs lack of labelling food bathrooms showers cabins could be updated the water was not so powerful

If I'm ever returning to Malta I would definitely stay in this hostel again:)

The best experience of a hostel that I had in a years! The personal is extremely helpful and kind, room and bathroom were always clean and comfy, hostel was easy to reach with public transport.

It was amazing , the staff truly believe in a positive and glowing environment. I could never dream of a more spiritual experience. Paula was absolutely fabulous her positive energy had changed me forever, I will cherish this experience for the rest of my life I BELIEVE 🌻🌚🌞🌈🦋

My stay in the Granny’s Inn Hostel was the best I ever experienced ! I went to many hostels and this one was fantastic. The staff is very nice and helpful, my room was perfect and very clean with a good bed. The decoration of my room and the whole hostel is beautiful. The location of the hostel is a privilege, being close to the bus stations and only a few minutes walk from the beach and the restaurants ! There are many balconies and great commun areas to chat and share, and especially the Rooftop which is great and even with sun beds ! I loved this place and the peaceful vibe coming from it, I would to go back with pleasure !

In this place you can feel safe and comfortable, especially thanks to the staff

This hostel has very friendly and helpful staff. My room was equipped with a ceiling fan which was able to keep a comfortable climate during the night. Also there was a locker for every bed, and a big wardrobe for everybody's use in the room. Attached (but no door) there was a smaller room with a desk and a fridge and a sink available. The bunk beds were all equipped with electrical outlets, lamps and some possibilities to store small things. During my stay this room was occupied by travellers as well as two of the hostel's staff members. There was a bathroom which was assigned only to our room, and a balcony on the same floor. On the ground floor was located the common area, kitchen, reception, all in the same room - there was also a common area on the second floor. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need, whether you want to cook your own meals or only just want to enjoy a bowl of cereals for breakfast, with another fridge available to store foods. The kitchen was generally clean and the bathrooms as well. The staff looked very well after keeping their facilities that way. I received a towel against a small fee and an adapter for the electrical outlet against a deposit. The staff was also very helpful when I returned the adapter soon as it was broken, so we tried different combinations of cables and adapters until it worked. The location is right in the middle of Sliema. The area is calm with little traffic. It's very easy from here to get to St. Julians Bay to hang out on the coast, to go to restaurants, to take a bus to semewhere else on the Island or to reach the busy nightlife. It's harder to get to the other side of the peninsula, as the street geometry makes it very hard to keep a sense of orientation in this area. Here though, there are bigger supermarkets, some shops, restaurants and bus and ferry connections especially to Valetta.

Our bathroom's shower had a very unreliable temperature control. The temperature swings between boiling hot and cold several times during showering. Also it was only equipped with a rain shower (instead of a flexible shower head) and the knob to switch on the water was of the kind which you have to push to get water for some amount of time. Also the shower cubicle was open to one side and it was not possible to close it completely. So after everybody had their shower a big part of the bathroom floor was wet and it was almost impossible to avoid this. This was a little bit annoying but you just deal with it. Also there are a lot of pictures of a party on a roof terrace on booking.com. During my stay I did not ever get on that terrace, as there was no clue of it's existence within the hostel nor was it advertised or mentioned at all by any staff member or guest. Maybe on some special occasions they will have parties on there? I didn't find out. Lockers in the dormitory room had different sizes. The smaller ones did not fit a bigger suitcase or backpack. First come, first serve. I wasn't able to use the locker that was designated to my bed as it was occuppied by somebody else when I arrived. Instead I just had my backpack at the end of my bed during the whole stay. It didn't bother me too much though, as everybody seemed quite trustable. Nothing was stolen or handled without permission.
