Would recommend

The room was cosy. The kitchen was clean and had everything you would need plus a lot of cake holders. It was out of the way but we drove so it was ok. The little shop beside it has many supplies if you forget things and friendly staff. It's self check in after 6 pm and we were notified of this in advance.

We got a little lost on the grounds and didn't see any of the staff during our stay.

Wonderful remote lodging, enjoyed the family suites, nice little pub, clean and comfortable

Wonderful remote hostel. Large and welcoming. Lovely shared spaces. Loved the family suites with their own bathroom. Loved the views. Enjoyed the little shop and pub just a stone's throw. We were lucky enough to be there on a Sunday and enjoyed live music.

It's remote, but that wasn't terrible. Just a 10 mile drive for food. The little store has food as well that you can cook/heat up. Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Wish we could have seen the stars, but going in June, it was bright pretty late. Nice visit.

If you know you snore get a private room please

The kitchen and social areas were great and outdoors.

The rooms were hot and the beds were creaky. It can't be helped but the person above me snored so loud and ruined my nights sleep.

Very clean. Host is very helpful. Check-in/ouy is very easy. Very good nightly rate.

It is a bit out of the way. Beds are a bit stiff but ok.

The kitchen and the availability of the facilities in it was very helpful. The location was absolutely peaceful. Great location with everything one needs. The family room was very spacious for 4 people. The outdoors were very well kept and maintained. The staff was proactive, to leave the keys to the room in an envelope. It was an easy and convenient checkin.

We wished there was someone we could reach out to while on the stay. It would have helped with gaining clarity, on the heating system, for example.

No better place to relax after an eventful day

Great location to do the ring of Kerry and Skellig ring from (by car or bicycle) Very nice woman who runs the place. She even gave me homemade cake for the road. Facilities like kitchen and showers were great, very clean. Oh and really soft beds.

Only thing I didn't like and I only say it to make the review believable is that the shower room was a little cold in the beginning. I think it says a lot that that's the worst I can remember about the hostel.

The location in the middle of the ring of Kerry was great, it may be hard to get to if you don't have a car but it is an amazing community venture with good facilities and clean rooms. Good value for money and nice flexible self check in.

Very welcoming community and great Hostel. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely Hostel, very welcoming, large room, authentic pub next door, large kitchen with all necessary utensils to cook (although you might have to bring your food as the shop there is tiny and has only a small selection)

nothing really. It was a great stay! One small hint though, there was a bit of mold at the ceiling of our bathroom. But since there is only a small window, it is difficult to get the humidity out. You might need a car there (it's a bit in the middle of nowhere, but that's also the charm)

Ideal, clean and comfortable for a short stay at a low cost.

I loved this hostel. I stayed with my family of 5 in a private room ensuite - double bed and bunks, the two smallest sharing the bottom bunk - for one night. It was perfect. I would highly recommend. It even has a playground on site for the smalls. Facilities are perfect for making food. Great location in the middle of the mountains but also close to seaside spots in Kerry by car.

We loved everything about it, one of the best places we have stayed. The bedrooms are comfortable and with private bathroom. Extremely clean. Kitchen is great and well equipped with everything you need to cook. 2 big tables to share with the guests. Lovely living room with TV, books and some games. Staff is very kind and attentive. Great atmosphere among staff and guests. Highly recommended for your stay in County Kerry. Pub, small shop and playground 50 mt from the hostel. Also recommended if you are travelling with kids or small children.
