Rotorura? Don’t stay in town, instead drive a little and stay at the Country Villa Estates.

The breakfast was unbelievable! The hosts Danny and Mabel outdid anything I’ve experienced before. After visiting the city of Rotorua, we realized that staying a little out of town was a great choice. Rotorua was a meh city and driving is pretty much required to get to any of the interesting attractions. Better to stay at the Country Villa, in a lovely setting, with a clean comfortable room and charming hosts than to stay in an overpriced hotel smelling of sulfur.

Danny and Mable are the most welcoming, kind, helpful hosts we have encountered on our trip around New Zealand. The accommodation is superb and breakfasts were awesome. We had a fantastic time and were sorry to move on from this beautiful country paradise.

incredible! the owner and his wife worked at the top hotels in the world and it show. their attention to detail is amazing. if you stay here you could not possibly want for anything. breakfast is the best you will have at any b&b and the owners obviously love sharing their garden and surroundings with guests

Outstanding decoration in and outside , the cleanest rooms . Danny and Mable made us feel very welcome. Lovely and private place to have a incredible family time. Wonderful hosts and fantastic service. Extremely recommended Michelin stared level breakfast made by Mable, also the homegrown and homemade grapefruit jam and mix berry jam.

Revitalizing - thank you Danny and Mabel

Absolutely beautiful place. Cannot recommend highly enough. The gardens and views are delightful. Danny and Mabel were so thoughtful and the attention to detail is amazing, and both were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really thoughtfully prepared and loads of it.
