TZTZ TZ: Bad behaviours
The location and the room were okay.
There's no need to insult a guest, be it in English or a foreign language. Even worse if you do it at check-out. Strategically extremely unwise. Or to behave unreasonably. If you are treated like that you might feel that this is something personal. But behold: interesting to read that there are a lot of guests that have issues with this property as well. So the average says: 6.9. But quite honestly: for educational reasons, I would like to give it a "0".

Okay but wouldn’t recommend for a long stay.
Good location and otherwise nice staff.
No hot water and the man at check-in stapled my immigration card on my passeport without asking on the exact page where it is written it shouldn’t be perforated. I had booked a double bed and had two single beds. There was a lizard in the room.

😥
The location was good. Afterwards, it felt like home, probably because it was family-run.
The building is old and dilapidated. The room was dark and dirty. There was no hair dryer and the bedding was unsanitary.

Avoid the dungeon
Cheap accommodation. It made us stay out of the room as much as possible
Kind of everything. The location is very dirty and smelly with lots of food stalls throwing food scraps on the street, it was a cockroach bonanza. The name of the place is very appropriate, grey, old, a very depressing environment. Seems stuck in the '50s. Our room (number 207) was fairly clean but looked incredibly old and really small. Both ojr matresses were uncomfortable with springs sticking out on different points, the shower had only a cold water tap. The worst thing tho was that the only window in the room was facing another apartment block with people walking in and out all day and night and getting in their apartments through a collapsable metal wire door which made it sound like someone was about to break through our window. My mate and I jokingly started calling it "the dungeon". Do yourself a favour and spend a few extra buck somewhere else.

Spartan place for a low budget stay.
Location is decent; can reach most of the city central part by feet, or short tuktuk ride, if walking isn't your best thing. Some eateries nearby, 24hr "Super Duper" store just few blocks away, water and some supplies just around the corner or on the same block in local ma&pa shops. 11$ per night was a bargain for PP these days for 2 separate beds. Looked like you can park a car there, if you come with one.
Room was small, the ventilator provided was not flawless, we had to fight ants ourselves (Raid spray was provided by host). Beds were "Cambodian gold standard": hard, old mattresses, with protruding metal frame/spring parts; WiFi was barely breathing.

Worse hostel I've stayed in, in all of Asia
He allowed us to change rooms besides that it was grim from beginning to end.
Upon our arrival, room 109 smelt of faeces, the whole place has poor sanitation. Insects have made a hone in the bedding, slithered in and out of view and dead cockroaches lay about . Both the bed covers and mattress protectors were noticeably absent and the sheets unwashed and dirty. Raising our concerns, we were moved to room 209, only to find a similar issue; the bed was besieged by a multitude of insects and the bedding had unmistakable, disconcerting stains despite claims of it having been cleaned. We told him we were leaving so he relocated us to room 101 as a final resort. It was a mild improvement due to the mattresses being enveloped in their original plastic wrapping, thus seemingly free of infestations. The plastic's covering was a relief. However, the sheets still showed signs of neglect and a concerning presence of blood stains on the cupboard. The lack of toilet paper and it being located in a less-than-reputable area added to the ambiance. It was an experience that tested our patience and resolve, straining our expectations of what we consider basic hospitality standards.
