ägaren var jätte snäll och bidrog med allt som står i sin makt för en trevlig upplevelse. Busshållplatsen ligger i närheten av huset. alltid rent i huset.

The place is simply horrifying. It is an house where the landlord rents some of the rooms. The room and kitchen are old and dirty, unusable. The house is covered with newspaper.

Cheap no frills accommodation with friendly hosts

When I found out my husband had booked this accommodation for our 3 night stay in Stavanger for the two of us and our 18yr old son, I was rather apprehensive. This was made worse by my son reading out some of the very negative reviews on google while we were en route. It’s effectively a kind of hostel, with about 6 rooms to rent. These were occupied predominantly by backpacking young men or bikers on our arrival but afterwards a few couples arrived. The property is pretty old, but the room we were in (two single beds and a bunk bed) was clean, with a little shared balcony. The bedding was also fresh and clean. Towels are provided at a charge but we had brought our own so I can’t comment on those. The kitchen is shared by all and was kept pretty clean the whole time we were there. We didn’t do any proper cooking there so can’t comment on the appliances much. We did take advantage of the large amount of fridge space though. It’s all pretty old but if you expect that from the start it’s ok. There’s also a large freezer that can be used if needed. The bathroom and toilets were pretty clean. I think some people mix up cleanliness with newness. Nothing here is new but everything is basic and functional. Shower worked fine the one time I used it. For us the location was OK, because we had a car, but if you don’t have your own transportation I’m not sure how easy it is to get into town. It’s one hour’s walk away. There’s a supermarket within walking distance. Bring your own slippers if you can. They ask you to take off outdoor shoes but the guest slippers they off are rather grotty/work so was happy I had my own ones with me. For anyone trying to save money while traveling it’s a good option.

I’m not sure if I would come here as a woman alone (not that it’s not safe, but personally I would feel apprehensive to share bathrooms etc with strangers on my own). Walls were quite thin (e.g. we could hear when phone messages were received by phones in the room next door) but thankfully the residents there were relatively quiet when we were there. There were places for padlocks on the outside of our room door, which was a bit weird.

Great cheap hostel

The price! It was literally 3 times cheaper than the second cheapest option nearby. It also had a fully functional kitchen and some good parking spots.

We could hear other people nearby, but with ear buds, everything was fine

Smelling piss the whole house, mouldy and dirty fridges, stinky blankets and sheets with very bad odour which you must breathe the whole night, cannot sleep. The man was ok smiley and friendly

I liked the location of the air bnb and freedom to park

The beds had matterace protectors not bedsheets so the cleanliness was far from perfect. We were cold so slept in one single bed so felt very uncomfortable. This room should be charged 2-5 euro more and provide CLEAN linen and towels!

Everything in this place screams shady. It was like coming into someone's abandoned home, and it felt like trespassing. All the lights in the house was switched off, the floor was dripping wet. I don't know much, but I know this: I'm not recommending this place.

Nasty terrible place. How can they be allowed on booking.com?

Terrible nasty place should not be allowed to rent out rooms. Dirty bathrooms, missing wall plates wholes in wall. Mop for floors standing in the corner was black. Curtains not covering properly. Not towels, have to pay 30kr extra for very poor towels totally washed out and miss colored. Not informed on Booking.com about extras for towels. Beds sheets very very poor quality. Cabinet in room black dirty front. Extension cable for light nasty. Freezer top and refrigerator disgustingly dirty. Cooking stove as well super dirty. Many rooms are stuffed with the owners private boxes from floor to ceiling and under the beds. Thinks about all the dust laying there and house bugs which are living there. The women in the house opened the door to my room while I was on the phone. Totally unacceptable. One can not use shoes inside. Not informed on booking.com about this. Walls and doors are like paper, one hear everything from other rooms, coughing, talking turning in the bed and hitting the wall. Had to go to my car to talk on the phone. Can not use computer with sound in the room. Tv in common room not working and was told . Keys for the rooms are just simple keys which mach to all doors one can buy in the shops.

Mr Dung is the most helpfull and friendly man on earth! And very reasonable. The rooms are in accordance with the price; simply and clean. And in a short distance of the city centre.

Father and son's trip to Norway

Very good value. Fantastic location. All the essential facilities were provided including a nice large shared bathroom with a hot shower. Could not fault it for the price.

One or two minor cosmetic faults such as the wardrobe door knob was not securely fixed.

Nice place to stay close to Stavanger

Me and my friends had a really nice stay. The Garden View Rooms are 10 mins by car to Stavanger. I'd really recommend you to stay if you are looking for great places near the city and you are on a budget. The housekeepers were super friendly! Plus there is a kitchen where you can cook or prepare your breakfast.

Good short stay and worth the money.

The host was very nice person. Very helpful and responsive for any request. House is very cozy, shared accommodation. Value for money and just enough facility for us hikers. Good enough space for parking.

Good for the price, though mileage will vary. I would not spend multiple nights here with a large family, but for a couple on a budget this is a bargain.
