Great place and host

The location was the best for visiting the lakes, the place is really comfy and Ivka is a really lovely person. I felt like home in this location, I would totally recommend it!

Ivka is a super warm and nice lady. Although she doesn't speak english she manages to make feel at home and truly care about you. Greets you with coffe and cookies, same for breakfast. The rooms is very cozy, clean, comfortable, tv and everything. The bathroom as well with a great shower. Easy walk to the park and in front of a supermarket. Surely one of the best options near Plitvice. She's a legend.

Perfect host + good for overnight stay

The host Ivka is one of the warmest hosts you can meet at such shared homestays. She doesn't speak English and we don't speak Croatian, yet we managed to have a nice warm hearted conversation with her. She even made coffee for us the next morning. This rating is just for the host. The overall room is a little dated but clean and perfect for short stays. There is 1 bathroom shared between 2 rooms but the other room was empty during our stay so we had it to ourselves. The shower was also super and the gigantic heater ensured supply of hot water. The location is also perfect if you want to stay overnight, close to the National Park (it's a rather steep 20 min walk from the Park to the Guesthouse and a fun downhill walk the other way around).

Nothing in specific, maybe the fact that the room is on the attic leaves little head room near the walls (but definitely nothing that can be fixed as such!)

The host was extremely friendly and nice. Clean and comfortable place. Supermarket nearby. 2 km away from Plitvice lakes(by foot approx 20 min). Definitely recommend 👌

If you don't have car, you have to walk to the lakes along the main road, there is no other way and it's not very safe.

A friendly, well located apartment close to the lakes.

The host is very friendly and cheerful, the apartment is well equipped and clean. The lake's entrance is reachable by walking 10-15 minutes, a market is just in the front of the building.

Good for an overnight stay when visiting the Plitsvice park

Place was spotless clean!! It's a 15minute walk from Entrance 2, owner is really really friendly but cannot speak a word of English so use Google translate. Note that this is a room in the owner's house. But the room is well equipped, kettle, cups and glasses, towels, hanging rack, small table

Fantastic Apartment with Castle view!

We loved our stay in this property! The apartment was really clean and was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was also super comfortable. The apartment has a view of the castle and is a short walk to the lake. We would recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.

Our short stay at Rooms Ivka was one of the most memorable during several months of traveling in Europe. Ivka is an absolute delight and we felt like we were at home swapping stories with our own Grandma. Despite Ivka not speaking English (and we speak no Croatian), we were able to communicate and enjoy her company. The room was clean, comfortable, and we were even provided coffee, fruit, and cookies. Easy walk from Entrance 2 and the bus stop. We couldn’t recommend Rooms Ivka more highly as a base for your trip to Plitvice Lakes. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A fantastic overnight stay once you get there

Out of the many options available near Plitvice, I'm glad we chose this one. These rooms are part of larger apartment that the owner doesn't fully use and they can be partitioned off by a door into a standalone unit. Everything you might need is available, including an electric kettle and a washing machine (for a modest fee). The real highlight is the owner, Ivka, who genuinely takes care of her guests, despite not speaking other languages. A basic knowledge of Croatian certainly helps to have a conversation, but I'm sure it's possible to manage without. You're likely to be offered coffee and cookies, while a fully stocked supermarket is located just across the street.

Transportation to, from and around Plitvice without a car is tricky as it is, and the Mukinje village isn't great in this regard. Getting to/from the national park and its bus stop will require a serious walk or a taxi ride. On arrival, we managed the 20-minute uphill hike to Mukinje in light rain just fine, but it certainly wasn't pleasant. The direct route is shorter, but not baggage-friendly, so keep that in mind and leave enough time.

Very good

Ivka is a nice old lady who is very caring and seems to like to talk with her guests eventhough you don't speak same languages. Both the room and bathroom were nice and clean. I would say it is one of the closest accomodations to Plitvice lakes if you don't have a car as we didn't.

Unforgettable memories!

Ivka is such a kind and happy person, full of energy and enthusiasm, that we enjoyed the welcome drink with her and the goodbye coffee she offered with so much excitement! Although she doesn't speak any English, we have found interesting ways to communicate and we left with her in our hearts as a great memory from Croatia!!!

We slept well and sound, but please do not take your suitcase up - many stairs.

The owner - she was very helpful and friendly. And fun to talk to if you speak her native language. The rooms are perfectly clean, and the bad super comfy.

It was difficult to find the location. Poor signage. The location is in apartment building and on the 2nd floor with no elevator. Also it should be stated that you are renting a room which is part of the apartment where the owner resides which is a bit strange. But it is superbly clean and neat, and she is wonderful, helpful and friendly. I am allergic on air fresheners so we need to air the room the entire time.

Very good

Very kind and friendly lady, who prepared us a coffee and cookies for breakfast. She tried communicated even if she couldn´t speak English. Unfortunately, there was no air condition, so there was a quite hot at night.
