Pleasant accommodation in a quiet location, with very kind and helpful hosts.

The hosts were very flexible, they changed the smaller room to a bigger one for the same price, and they also brought a refrigerator at our request. Kind, helpful family. Quiet neighborhood surrounded by forest. The trout dinner was very plentiful and delicious. Free Wifi.

There could be a refrigerator in every room, and not the smallest one.

Very positive experience

We stayed at House Pox for 2 nights. The location is just perfect. Few min from the entrance to the Lakes. The whole place is super clean and quite. The host Rosa is just a super nice person. We got a big room that is actually like a 2 rooms with a table, fridge, chairs, armchairs and a lot of other furniture. We ate twice dinner there that was just perfect. Definitely will stay there again if in the region.

Perfect overnight spot for visiting the lakes

Perfect location for visiting the lakes and a wonderfully kind and friendly host! Rooms are simple but great value for money, given that it’s just an 8 minute drive to the lakes. Breakfast was delicious!

Great stay at House Pox 2

House Pox 2 is a great place to stay. I got upgraded to a balcony room when I arrived for no extra cost. The room is was very comfortable, bed comfortable, TV and Wifi provided, small fridge as well. Very clean and the host is lovely, very kind and helpful, she even gave me a lift to entrance 2 the day I left to catch the bus as it was raining. It is a 3 km walk to entry 2 and there a few paths that get you off the main road. If you go into the next village and follow the signs there is path that goes to the park entry meaning you are only the main road for 1.5 kms. I didn't have any meals there so can't comment on this. If you are a vegan/vegetarian then you will have to either find something in the next village at the bistro there or the restaurant in the park at entry 2, or come prepared. There is a small supermarket in the next village which sells some fruit and veg, the market at the entry 2 only sells snack items. I would highly recommend this accomodation.

Great value accomodations.

The host is amazing. Such an incredible effort from her to keep everything spot on and everyone happy. Great value accomodations. I would say depending on the plans of the visitors themselves be aware that from this location is around 30 minutes walk to the park which by itself it's not bad cause the path passes through somes woods where you can be almost by urself in a natural environment and this you ain't having in the park believe me.

Felt like a true home stay.

The hostess Rosa. She gave me rides to and from the National Park. Also to the bus stop. Her and her husband made a great home cooked meal for dinner! Breakfast was more then enough as well.

All good. Maybe just a curtain in the front bedroom.

Location closed to the park

After check-in, I sent a picture of toilet downstairs to the host because it was not cleaned at all (toilet paper, brown marks). Few minutes after the host and her son came into our house without knocking and the son started to be very very agressive with us, because he doesn’t appreciate that I sent them the pic. I was afraid of him. It was very inappropriate and clearly not professional. I don’t recommend these hosts. We were very disappointed because it was recommended by « le routard ».

The host family is very kind. There is plenty space in the yard with chairs/tables/couches as well. Our room came with a kitchen but they would,be offered breakfast (7€) and dinner (15€), too.

As we don’t have a car we walked 2+km from the bus stop to the house which can’t be recommended because there is no footpath along the main road. Therefore, we wouldn’t recommend this accommodation if you don’t have a car or rent a taxi each time. But they told us before / it’s stated in the description but we didn’t listen.

Warm and welcoming

The owner and her family were absolutely delightful! Friendly, warm, kind, and helpful. There was a canine welcoming committee, which we loved after being away from our own pups too long :) The meals were more than reasonably priced for what was provided. Over the two nights we tried the chicken, pork, and trout, and each meal was delicious and plentiful. All the vegetables were fresh from the garden. Breakfast was enough for two meals, again at a great price. The house was easy to find, just a 5-15 minute drive from either entrance to the park. There was patio furniture for relaxing. They even had a clothes line to hang wet clothes. We loved our time here and would come back in a heartbeat!

The only thing I wished for was a solid curtain since we had a ground floor room and the street lights were bright for sleeping.

Great place to stay for the Plivitce lakes park

The host Rosa is one of kind. Lovely lady, very helpful. The room and bathroom are not big but enough for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is totally worth it, very well served with everything you need for a day hiking in the park. Very close to the entrance 2 ( less crowded one).

Nothing to complain about it. Just quick tip for future visitor: we got there very late and it was dark. The House Pox is inside the locality. So won’t waste your time looking on the main road. Just follow the Jezerce sign and get the main street of the location. You will follow the signs with the numbers and will easily find number 39-House Pox.

An Exemplar for the industry.

I'm Croatian my Husband is a Brit, we live in Podstrana. We are therefore quite use to the terrible service in Dalmacia. Roza was the complete opposite. Helpful to a fault. Wonderful Host.

We could only stay one night before moving on.
